Agrika: Nothing spectacular about her looks...she looks "average" to me....just that she looks like someone that is sharp and brillant....unlike Our Madam Principal-na-only-you-waka-come zombie looks."It is scaring" doesn't seem "sharp" and "brilliant" to me. I wonder what your definition of brilliance is. |
bestestgirl: e get as that 'it is scaring' do me for ear sha but all iz wellI be dey think say na only me see am |
iluvweed: Nice move from a right thinking man!It is obvious that your love for weed is affecting your reasoning. #just saying |
Space booked. Good thing they(NFF) has started dealing with their own problem themselves. Whether impeached President is guilty of the crime or not is still debatable. That is why the FG/EFCC should take legal action if they have enough evidence to prosecute him. It will serve as a deterrent to others who want to taint the Nation's image with their greed. |
Fayrouzz: It is a good thing that he is doing well but we must try to protect him from what happened to the likes of Rooney, Wilshire, Bojan and a whole lot of players who started off brightly but couldn't get to the expected heights as a result of pressure, media hype, expectations, haste. Etc.Rooney is one of the best players in the EPL with many trophies and personal awards. I wonder what other height you want him to attain. As for Wilshere, his career progress was hampered by injury, good thing he's getting over it. Don't know much about Bojan. |
nickz: would do what my dad would have done to me: ask him to catch 20 mosquitoes alive! |
nickz: would do what my dad would have done to me: ask him to catch 20 mosquitoes alive!Your Father harsh ooo |
About the NNPC GMD's daughter, did you hear anything about her after. Maybe she's probably working with NNPC now. That she failed the job test doesn't mean she won't be hired. The other points you raised are quite sensible though. |
ceo4eva: More Pictures....loadingThese are the Michael Scofields |
Lily4star: I saw it all while growing up but we thankGod for his grace today, you saw through my post though, a good woman won't run away cos things re bad, you ability to standby him and make it seem like all is well ll make the man more success driven. It always gets better, my Dad and Mum always tells me though that the biggest mistake one can make in life is marrying the wrong person, who u marry matters.I quite agree with your Mom, marrying the wrong person might be one's biggest mistake in life but being in love with the wrong person is my idea of hell |

@OP, Your post lacks details. Do you mean true love in "marriage", or "casual relationship" cos the two are different all together. Now Personally I think love is overhyped, No thanks Nollywood and Mexican soap operas. Now if you think love is like when poor Jim Iyke whose father is a farmer is in love with Mercy Johnson , an orphan, then you are living in a dream world and it's high time you woke up. Lets face the facts, Relationships hardly last without money, though marriage may because our society abhors divorce, so you either stay and endure it or bear the stigma. From my little observation, I came to the conclusion that most posters here come from an average or well to do family, hence , never experienced real poverty. Do you know why your Parents struggle to give you the best education?..So that you will escape poverty and its attendant problems. Being in a relationship with a guy with good prospects is good, but judging from someone's opinion "not fact" how many ladies can stay in love with a poor guy with no dreams? @OP there are lots of begging questions. Real Life is not "NOLLYWOOD" |
Lily4star: Most of us our parents had nothing when they met, some absolutely nothing when they even got married, sometimes even had to borrow to eat, only true love does that cos they both know the only thing constant in life is change and as time went on things got better and better for them, u ll be surprised what some wealthy families today went through before they got to where they are right now. That's true love, standing by eacthother nomatter what. Kudos to our Parents.Dear, did you grow up in a poor family? How many times where you sent home from school due to inability to pay tuition fee?, How many times did sleep on an empty stomach? Answer these questions, then I will know how to address your post. |
englishmart: in the US, if you act perfectly as a slave, you'll keep acting only slave roles. That's the biggest lie of the century. What is the basis of this assertion of yours? |
bennie224: Shameful!why does she have to play d role of a slave? It's like telling tom cruise to come play d role of a slave in a Nigerian movie,,Nollywood is a mess,,if i was given d chance to run d NGR movie industry,,i'ld have long gotten rid of people like this. There's nothing degrading about playing a slave role. She's still breaking into the industry, cut her some slack. Do you know how hard it is to get a role in a Hollywood movie?, some Americans will take that role free of charge. Its about selling "herself". Remember the journey of a thousand miles starts with a step. At least she's better than most local champions we have who are probably busy thinking of the next publicity stunt to pull. She's shown that she wants to take her career to the next level. As for Tom Cruise, he ll play any role you give him for the right money. He's an actor. |
It baffles me how we go about the right things the wrong way in this country. Whether its an attempt to convert Nollywood into one of the key GDP contributors " or a political strategy", It still doesn't explain why the government has to interfere in all sectors of the economy. Will this grant make them to produce good movies that can compete with the likes of Titanic, The sound of Music, Harry Porter, Troy , maybe I am going too far. These movies contain a lot of stunts. Let me go easy: Desperate Housewives, Sound of Magic, Touch etc. Hollywood didn't get to where they are today via government intervention. Again what is really lacking in our movie industry, is it funds or ideas? What are our producers really after?, To make good movies or to make good money? Movie Producers should source for sponsorship themselves. Being a producer also means being resourceful. Visit corporate bodies and private organizations and convince them to place a 2 minute advert in your movie. Do you know how many Nigerian teenagers and jobless housewives that patronize Nollywood. It will be a good avenue for Businesses to reach their consumers. Its time we start doing the right things. It's time to sit down and think. Come up with ideas, Do something noone has ever done before and the crowd will follow you. Government intervention hampers economic growth. The key factor for sustained economic growth is capitalism. Government should put taxpayers money where it is needed. Thats my 3 cents. |

milehigh06: it seems a lot of Nigerians do not even underrstand anything at all even if it hits them in the face...the 253 millin is money being paid by the Nigerian govt to NFF and not to FIFA.....FIFA simply is gettign what they wanted,Govt stays clear of football, now it is left to NFF to go and source their funds else where which in the long run leads to accountability for GLO would not give NFF that amount of money and not expect results and expect it to be used in the right and legal wayWe understood that...Wise King Solomon. Na only you sabi something for Nigeria. |
winiwini: That will be better, no more illegal corruptionAre you trying to say that some corrupt practices are legal?..Please put me through. |
Bubewilson: You are totaly right. While i was waiting 4 nysc, i applied for jobs and stated the various positions i held in student organisations as my work experience and it did add balance to my cv as my interviewees where pleased to know that.Hi, I'm a fresh graduate from one of the public universities in Nigeria and will be due for service come November, I'm currently looking for a temporary attachment where i can garner relevant experience while waiting for my call up. Looking @ your comment, i think you re in the best position to offer some advice. I ll send u a PM so that we can chat privately, i hope you dont mind. |
LSG might have good intentions but they are going about it the wrong way. I believe that before major policies or change are implemented, steps are taken to ensure that the parties involved suffer less inconvienience. The problem is not the increased school fees but they way, the Govt went about it. You can't increase tuition fees arbitrarily without making the students aware of your intentions. They are the ones who are going to pay it not ghosts. I am not saying that the LSG needs student permission before taking any decision. Secondly, were the students made aware of the reasons for the sudden increment in their tuition fees? Atleast the LSG owe them that much. The LSG should take the students into their confidence by educating them on their plans( if they have any ). I think it will restore the needed trust in the govt. Again, the issue of increasing tuition fees is not what you just wake up and do. There should be laid down plan of action, students should be made aware before time. Meetings should be set up between the LSG, SUG and the staff of LASU. Negotiations should be made. These things takes time. Planning takes time. The parties involved will come up with the best way to implement this. Let's say if LSG wants to increase tuition fees by 60%, it can be done this way. 15% for the first year of implementation, 20% for the second year and 25 % for the third year. This way students will be prepared and brace themselves for what's coming. Lastly, if LSG wants to use the additional tuition fee to provide necessary facilities inorder to meet international standards, it should be done. The students need to see what they are paying for. This will encourage the students to pay additional fees with less grumbling. That's my 2 cent |
Dominionng: Bros...A typical case of kettle calling pot black. *an alumni*...are you for real? |
gbaskiboy: Boko haram means Education is bad, government deprives us of it, are the two not mean thesame? If the governor should be in our shoe, he will definitely knw the effect of tuition fees in our pockets. They promised us Free education, is this how they want to fulfil their promise? Education is our right we should not chafes under our right we need total reduction of tuition fees or nothing. BRF do somethingWhen they said education is your right, they don't mean tertiary education. There's no country in the world where tertiary education is free. |
judging from the evidences presented by the US, I think their claims look sensible enough, but I can't help but notice this begging question How come we are not aware of this kidnapping racket? |
I think I'm a little bit skeptic about this news, I mean any other reasonable persons will be. We expect more from our media. Pictures and names would have lent the needed credence to this report and put the mind of the doubting thomases at rest. |
As if he's any better. What has he and other northern leaders done for the Northerners. If they had done the needful, someone else wouldn't have to clean up their mess. They( the northern leaders ) are the ones who are incompetent. |
tonychristopher: this dude is so smart and i always admire the smartness of his people...they are the most intelligent and smartest african...he did well to retrieve the colonial masters money they took from nigeria...See where his smartness landed him |
An unexpected development I will say. I truly commend Gov. Nyako for doing the needful, even if it is.a face-saving move. Its high time we stopped blaming GED for every little problem. |
