Obaje, CBE, FIAMN, LLD, CFR, the Attah Igala Idah, Kogi State.
Until his death in the afternoon of July 16, 2012; Dr. Aliyu O. Obaje, President of Kogi state Traditional Council, was Chancellor of the University of Lagos.
The late monarch ascended the throne on November 2, 1956 as the 26th Attah Igala Idah succeeding late Attah Ameh Oboni. He reigned for over 56 (fifty-six) years, making him the longest serving traditional ruler in the country.
The University of Lagos commiserates with the family, Kogi State and the nation as a whole on the loss of this illustrious son of Nigeria.
May his gentle soul rest in peace, Amen.
