The leader of the coalition of northern youths, Yerima Shettima, has expressed the intent to influence northern lawmakers to include referendum in the constitution allowing ethnic groups to secede from the country.

we are willing to ensure that all our lawmakers from the northern part of the country find a way to put the referendum clause in the constitution; they represent our interests and we would tell them exactly what to do and follow up, so that, at the end of the day, we can have the referendum
Speaking on behalf of the coalition, its coordinator, Shettima Yerima, said: “Not withstanding efforts by Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo and responsible regional leaders, Nnamdi Kanu, leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), remains undaunted.

“Their continued action is a clear signal that they are committed to breaking away from the Nigerian Federation which buttresses our earlier concerns.

“Since it is becoming all the more obvious by the way IPOB and Kanu enjoy massive support from the Igbo back home, that the issue of the drive for Biafra nation is still a boiling one, we urge the UN to intervene by initiating processes for a peaceful referendum as the only option to finally settle the Biafran issue.”

First, Osibanjo has to respect the gentleman's agreement he had with NEF and resign peacefully. Beyond this, the constitution makes provision for rotation of presidency. Obasanjo was in power for 8yrs without any form if interruption whatsoever. The north should be allowed her full 8yrs

The leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, has declared that it was better he died fighting for the actualization of Biafra.
Kanu also alleged that the government was using the media to spread false information about him and his agitation for Biafra.
In an interview, Kanu revealed that the people in power know that he was the right person to lead the people, thereby employing all means to make him lose the support of his people.
Nnamdi reiterated that nothing can make them reverse on their decision from breaking away from Nigeria.

Mr. Man, is as if you don't know the meaning of self determination or secede. Every struggle to have a independent nation is a political struggle for space and everyone want to be relevant in the scheme of thing.
You're diverting discourse. Do you know the third law of motion as stated by Newton? What gave birth to Northern Youths declaration is what this topic is all about and you're just beating about.
The activities of Nnamdi Kanu gave birth to tin mirage of heat every where. I'm telling you, how it will be impossible for him to win the struggle because he's doing it alone. All agitators for self determination always carry political gladiators along to gain weight but Kanu has not done that. If it continues this way and war broke out, Kanu will just waste innocent people lives. He need to interface with political heavy weights to bring the desire result and douse tension.

Mr. Man, no one fight authority bigger than him and get away with it. They later succumb and flow with the tide. It's only a popular agitation that sees the light of the day. Let me put you on notice, the issue here is a survival for a political space and if political gladiators are not carried along it will definitely fall like pack of card and that is why you see different groups rise for or against the IPOB agitation. Youths may have idea they nurse but can only work if political gladiators put their hands and political will to support it because they have political resources, hence people will just die for nothing.
Again, when next time you want to engage in discourse Pls try and be civil and decorum. Not every time you engage in hot words because the loudest voice may not necessarily win the argument.
