5. Igbos did sit at home to remember the 3 million souls lost in the war, they gave us quit notice in our country.
6. Thanks to Android phone, Everybody started researching about Biafra, About history... Started reading books like "They was a Country "... Chinua Achebe.

The People of Biafra (IPOB) has condemned unequivocally the barbaric attack against innocent worshippers during Sunday service at the Catholic Church Ozubulu in Ekusigo LGA of Anambra State, saying it was untrue that the killing was caused by a business deal between brothers that went bad.
A press release signed the media and publicity secretary of the group comrade Emma Powerful said the conclusion by the police that the killing was a result of a business gone wrong in far away South Africa was a hasty one and cannot be said to be true.

The group wondered why with all the countless Police and Army check points along the roads in Anambra State, especially along Onitsha-Owerri Road leading to Ozubulu did not intercept the murderers, given that crime detection and prevention is often cited as the main reason why AK47 brandishing police and army recruits litter the roads.

He said, “We are alerting the international community, men and women of good conscience to prevail on Nigeria and Anambra State Government to constitute an independent and transparent panel of inquiry to ascertain what actually happened because this level of brutality is unheard of in Anambra State and entire Biafra before now.
“This massacre of our people in Ozubulu as with other indiscriminate slaughter of our people around Nigeria is a constant reminder to us all all of the threat we face each day we delay our exit from Nigeria. Unfortunately for us, these heinous crimes will be visited upon us at predictable intervals until we collectively summon the courage to demand for our right to a referendum that will settle this once and for all time.

Brethren from the North,

I bring you greetings from the Southern part of Nigeria.

On behalf of the peace-loving people of the south in general and millions of Igbo youths in particular, I start this letter by commending you for your recent open letter to the acting president, professor Yemi Osinbajo, where you called on the pastor-turned politician to organize a referendum for the Igbos to enable them determine their future in line with international laws on self-determination

This current Biafra agitation IS NOT a bait for Igbo presidency, restructuring or appointments. My generation is simply sick and tired of sharing the same country with people who derive enormous pleasure from killing their fellow human beings over the flimsiest of excuses like the burning of the Koran in a far away Afghanistan, the shooting of a Palestinian boy in Gaza, and the drawing of the cartoon of Prophet Muhammed in far away Denmark.

Igbo youths are not aggrieved with Nigeria solely because their parents were massacred in the Biafra war. We are aggrieved because almost 50 years after the war, the same people who killed our parents are still killing us even in our homes using Fulani herdsmen, in our churches and cities using Hausa/Fulani soldiers who kill us and bath us with acid, and our places of business using Almajiris who slaughter us and burn our shops with state-sponsored impunity for no just cause other than the insatiable urge to spill blood.
I love the concluding part of your letter where you rightly asserted that the Biafra agitation is not an issue over which a single drop of blood should be shed. I agree. Which is why we are only asking for a YES or NO vote known as Referendum which is the only civilized means of settling this kind of issue. Now, my dear brethren, add a little work to your faith by prevailing on your leaders who control every facet of the Nigerian government to allow for a plebiscite for the Igbos.

Dishing out a quit notice to Igbos residing in your region when they are yet to be officially granted their referendum and Biafra is only tantamount to putting the cart before the horse. Until the Igbos officially get their Biafra, they remain Nigerians with all the rights and privileges of Nigerian citizens including the right of living and doing business anywhere in the country.

Instead of killing ourselves and creating IDPs everywhere, let us peacefully do "To Your Tent, Oh, Israel!" That way, we will still do things together but as good neighbors under mutually agreed terms.
