The Arewa Youths Consultative Forum (ACF) says the quit notice given to Igbo people resident in the northern part of the country is still in force.

At a meeting in Kaduna on June 6, ACF gave Igbo in the north up till October 1 to leave the region .

But speaking with reporters in Kano on Thursday 3rd August 2017, Shettima Yarima, chairman of the forum, said while the order stands, the Igbo people willing to remain in the north were free to do so.

“We stand by our notice to Igbo but those who are interested in Nigeria can stay. But for those who are not interested, you can go,” he said.

Permit me to take this opportunity to respond to your gratutious insult and your irresponsible and irreverant assertion about those of us that have been at the forefront of the fight for restructuring our nation for many years.


You claim that those that are calling for restructuring are only doing so in order to get an appointment. You measure others by your own squalid standards and you do nothing but take shameless dictation from a tiny cabal of faceless shape-shifting reptilians, corpsocrats, bloodsucking demons and vampires.
What a sorry impasse you have brought us to. We had hoped that you would be a man and stand up like one whilst your “father” was away trying to recover from his ill-health and many afflictions in London but this was not to be.

Nigeria is crumbling right under your feet and falling apart because you have refused to rise up to the occassion, muster the required strength and moral authority to set things right and build bridges of fraternity and friendship and ensure that there is justice and fairness to all in the land.

Under you no Fulani herdsmen have been arrested. Under you Boko Haram has gone from bad to worse. Under you the Arewa Youth threatened a whole ethnic race with eviction and genocide yet none of them were arrested.

Under you the Yoruba youth have said they do not want restructuring anymore but what they want is secession. Under you IPOB brought the whole of the south east to a stand-still and today they reign supreme in that region and zone.

Under you stage-managed pictures of our ailing President were put out with visiting governors which were proof of life but which did not ondicate whether he was mentally or physically well enoufh to come home and rule our nation. 90 days down the line and ww still dont know what is wrong with him and how much longer he will be away.

Not only has the President gone missing but even the presidential jet that took him to the UK and that was parked at Stanstead
Airport waiting for him for the last three months has now reportedly also gone missing.

Ours has become an international shame and we are now the laughing stock of the world because you find it very hard to tell us the truth. Even CNN and the Washington Post, your good friends that helped to bring you to power, are now mocking you.

Yet you do not care and you continue to act as if all is well.

He said those fighting for restructuring are just looking for an appointment. Permit me to ask the following questions.

Is it the leaders of the south, Afenifere, Ohaeneze and the Niger Delta that are looking for appintments? Or is it the leaders of the Middle Belt?

Is it Baba Fasoranti, Baba Ayo Adebanjo, General Alani Akinrinade, Chief Amos Akingba, Bishop Gbonigi, Professor Bolaji Akinyemi or Chief Olu Falae?

Is it Chief John Nwodo, Governor Victor Ezeife or Chief Arthur Nwankwo? Is it Chief E.K. Clark, Chief Solomon Asemota SAN or Chief Albert Horsefall?

Is it General TY Danjuma, General Dogonyaro or General Zamani Lekwot? Is it Atiku Abubakar who was the Vice President that you are today 18 years ago?

Is it the respected Baba Bisi Akande who has been calling for us to go back to the 1963 regional structure and form of government? Is it General Ibrahim Babangida who was Head of State 32 years ago?

What appointment can you or Buhari possibly offer any of them at their age and with their wealth of knowledge and experience? Why should you measure these distinguished and respected people, most of whom are old enough to he your father, by your own sordid standards?

Honestly you have lost it completely. You have betrayed your people and jettisoned their cause. You have ignored their call for justice and equity and you have turned a deaf ear to their cry for deliverance.

Some will call you a shamelss coward but I will not go that far out of respect for your office. I am however constrained to say that I have lost the great respect that I once had for you.

In short you are a self-serving modern-day Afonja who will eventually be consummed by those who he has joined forces with to destroy his own people and the children of the Living God. Thus sayest the Lord.

My regards to your family Your Excellency and kindly convey my warmest greetings and special felicitations to your brother “Jebi” who I am very fond of and was very friendly with whilst at London University in the early 1980’s.

The Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has dismissed insinuations that his motives for leading the agitation for an independent state of Biafra is to become its pioneer Head of State.

According to him, he will never become Biafra’s Head of State but will continue the struggle for its independence because he was heaven sent to do so.

He stated this while addressing IPOB members who paid him a visit at his Umuahia residence yesterday.

Kanu said: “I am not doing Biafra because I want to be the Head of State of Biafra, because I will not be. This is for your information. I am doing Biafra
because that is what heaven wants me to do.

“If you did not fight for Biafra to be restored, you will all be destroyed

“Because of the Biafra agitation, Nigeria has changed. No matter what happens, the status quo can never remain the same. One way or the other things have changed?

“The Senate President, Bukola Saraki’s statement on a revisit of the Bill on restructuring Nigeria that was thrown out last week was not to please Ohanaeze Ndigbo but to ensure that the fedral government still holds onto the Middle Belt.

“The Middle belt had told them that if you decide to go to war again with Biafra, we will not support you again. The foot soldiers of the Nigerian Army are from the Middle Belt not from the core North.

I maintain my position. It is absolute delusion to think that Nigeria can be restructured in the present circumstance.

The north will never allow that happen. They will remind you that there is nothing like that in the constitution. To amend the constitution to make it happen you have to pass national assembly and get 2/3 of houses of assembly endorsement. How in heavens name do you convince northern houses of assembly to vote in favour of restructuring.

Way out.

Start a media war against the north to support restructuring. The north do not have media.

Lastly, the entire south should boycott 2019 election

If they go ahead to hold elections. We cut the oil. They can't fund a war against the south without oil.

Igbo in Northern Nigeria have been urged to be wary so as not to be taken unawares by the Arewa Youths.

This advice is from His Royal Highness Igwe Barr Martin Ezeh, the traditional ruler of Igbo-Ukwu Kingdom in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.

His warning comes on the heels of persistent threats from Arewa Youths to the Igbo to heed to its October 1 quit notice.

Igwe Ezeh said while he wouldn’t incite anyone to be violent, the monarch said the ‘war drums’ being beaten by both Arewa and Igbo youths calls for everyone to be security-conscious.

The monarch has charged the Ohaneze Ndigbo to take immediate steps at ensuring that both regions don’t make a repetition of the 30-month Nigeria-Biafra civil war.

“I do not advise the Igbo in the North to return home. But because of the Arewa youths’ persistence that our people should go, the Igbo should rather be cautious of their environments so that they would not be taken unawares.

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has denied attacking Governor Willie Obiano in a church on Sunday.

The leadership of IPOB Nnamdi Kanu made the denial in a statement by Emma Powerful, its national publicity secretary.

IPOB, however, accused the Nigerian government, Governor Obiano and some few politicians in Nigeria of recruiting some uneducated individuals and students in the universities to infiltrate into IPOB in order to label it as a violent group.

“These government contractors mobilised people who went to Catholic church to harass those in a church service in Ekwulobia in order to create room for security operatives to begin to arrest our members in Ekwulobia and it’s environs.

“IPOB leaders and members are very intelligent people who cannot involve in any act of violence,” the statement said.

According to Powerful, “it is crystal clear to all and sundry that IPOB under Nnamdi Kanu remains non-violent in their pursuit for Biafra freedom and cannot change our methods of peaceful approach towards the restoration of Biafra. The election boycott in Anambra come November this year remains but cannot cause any violence.

“We are aware that some politicians and Nigerian security employed some uneducated individuals and groups in the society to harass the general public in the name of IPOB members.

“Some government contractors printed IPOB T-shirts and Biafra flag with huge amount of money to be shared to the hungry youths to claim to be IPOB members under Nnamdi Kanu.

“We are advising the general public beware of fake IPOB who were paid by politicians to cause confusion in Anambra and states in Biafraland,” he said.
