tsdarkside:Jonathan did not blend.... He had the wisdom to rearrange Nigeria but he was not sincere about it, He allowed Nigeria to sink further. Let me give you example. You are a Northerner, a Muslim... I am a South Easterner, A Christians.. Our culture, our orientation our believes are different... They are things I would do in my place it is allowed, in your place it is a Haram. What our respective society expect from us is different.eg To marry a wife in my place is expensive (up to N500,000 +), and you must be well to do before you marry a reasonable girl from a reasonable family.. it's not the same in the North. With all these and many core difference.. That is the reason of consistent bickering and unemployment in Nigeria. North have these conquering mentality... They want to conquer Nigeria... But conquering Nigeria would not develop the North, Conquering Nigeria would not kill Hunge... It would keep them always on the edge, always paranoid and Isolated. And it is almost impossible to conquer any people in current world. North should first put their house together.. Strengthen the economy like Dubai... Before conquering.. They need enough space to do so. They need enough autonomy, their own constitution, their own paliarment. They need to own their land, their market... They can't do it with present arrangement... Too many distractions from the south |
tsdarkside:A smart president would know how to blend and give everyone what they want. Eg. In the US... Gambling is legal in some state while it is very illegal in other state. Same as Prostitution, even Marijuana (Weed) In UK, England, Scotland and Wales share one military, one currency, one paliarment. Yet they have differnt individual constitution. They have differnt National team.. They are one country with different sub country. The truths is... Africans are just selfish and myopic by Nature.. If all this politicians in government finally leave the government, Perhaps Southerners become president. They would be wailing like good people... Shouting for restructuring Meanwhile when they were in position to do it, they did not... Nigeria is more like a jungle... Survival for the fittest... |

nNEOo:I have re edited the headline.. All serving politicians are core beneficiary also... Infact they are the customers to Igbo traders. You are right, Northern Masses should had been the one to be clamouring for restructuring but they can't think for themselves... They have been brainwashed to think status quo benefits them even tho in their front yard... Igbo man from Enugu is taking advantage of one Nigeria in Kano.. Trading in Pharmacy .. They have nothing to show.... Their politicians are the only one benefiting same as southern politicians... But Southern masses are free thinkers not bounded by politics or religion. |
ayokellany:This is not chest beating... And this is not political. I stand to be corrected on any |
Nigeria is structured to keep the poor man in perpetual poverty. I have never see any country in 2nd world where the whole country share rent for survival. One of the Advantage of the status quo is distribution of Oil money to Political Class. The poor is totally left out. This Politicians are in every region but obviously the Northern politicians through the military created more political space for themselves receiving more of the oil money. This politicians have a very large appetite, they spend and buy luxury. Ironically "Igbos are the business ethnic people servicing this wealthy politicians ". They created, expanded and are running all the major market in the whole 36 state, plus FCT. It is nature something, they don't believe in "FREE MONEY". They rather serve you An Ahlaji with solutions to your needs for you to pay them than beg you. The ordinary trader Igbo man greatest challenge is more often time he gets affected by dumb actions of Igbo politicians. He get killed by a remote Kaduna Nzogwu action, He receives quit notice for an Unknown Nnamdi Kanu rant, He get deaths threats because Buhari is contesting. When Igbo politician act, he act for himself, If it is beneficial, he enjoys with his family only to point of no benefit to the igbo trader in Sokoto BUT if it is offensive and provocative the common trader in Kano bears the brunt and suffer the consequences of other. This traders serve Nigeria not just the politicians... In a country where we produce almost nothing... All we do is share and spend allocation, all the money still end in the hand of the business man... The capitalist As it is... Igbos are the least affected by the economy or job lost in the country.. The end Buyers are suffering unless you are a politician. Tho out of precaution against PMB kwaropsion pight , Most Abuja politicians are looting and spending their money outside Nigeria. Some are looting beyond beyond waiting for the storm to clear so as to flex the money... That is part of the cause of Nigeria current challenge... Stolen money are spent outside. I don't know how restructuring would look like, but the truth is only those That can adjust would survive same as separation. |
sonature1:You are not an Igbo person.. You think it is all about mineral resources. They is what we call Human Capital. SEast was built without any Federal Support after the War... Now more developed than most region. . Igbo problem is just that Nigeria were IgboPhobic, doing everything to hold them down.. Go to North, Lagos Igbos own most of the best estates.. If you are Igbo you would have known that no matter how nigeria is situated.. From one Nigeria To restructuring To break up Igbos would fare much better. . As it is now.. Igbo extraction are the ones exploiting the benefits of one Nigeria |
Tolexander:The corruption ongoin in Niger is terrible... All this groups are Funded by the presidency... They was an openly fake Niger Delta rally in Abuja last 2 month or so... That was when I gave hope on the government integrity. They are complete FRAUD. |

A pan-Niger Delta group, Niger Delta-Northern Youth Coalition Worldwide, has accused the Minister of State, Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu, of working to frustrate the reforms initiated by the Group Managing Director of the NNPC, Maikanti Baru, and has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to sack the minister. President of the coalition, Prince Michael Ekamon, at a world press conference in Abuja on Thursday, accused Kachikwu of dereliction of duties if he had waited for over one year to voice his concerns. “If the claim of the Honourable Minister, that for the past one year he has been accommodating the excesses of the GMD on such serious issues affecting the lives of Nigerians and the economy of this great nation, he should be fired for gross incompetence and maladministration,” Ekamon said. The coalition also faulted the Minister of State for the leakage of the memo, noting that, “We urge Mr. President to as a matter of urgency investigate thoroughly the leakage of the memo to the press in the interest of his administration. “The minister’s vituperations against Baru as contained in his letter could not be unconnected to his frustrations since the appointment of the incumbent GMD; otherwise as the chairman of the NNPC board, he would have treated the matter internally rather than doing a memo to Mr. President. Such action smacks of disloyalty to the person of Mr. President.” They appealed to the president to give the GMD the free hand to carry on reforms in the NNPC, arguing that as an insider, he has the requisite wealth of experience to engineer the reforms as envisaged by President Buhari. Ekamon stated that since Baru’s appointment to the NNPC, the country has witnessed efficiency in the supply of petroleum products nationwide, appointments of technocrats into the right positions, and renegotiating JVCs’ to Nigeria’s advantage. https://thewhistler.ng/amp/story/niger-delta-coalition-faults-kachikwu-wants-buhari-fire/ |

enemyofprogress:Why are Northerners buying this one Nigeria matter.. After all this your rant and IPOB e warrior rant... None you guys would suffer the consequences. It is innocent Chima in Kano and Unsuspecting Musa in Aba that would be attacked. You guys must stop this. |
Kazim88:Wonder no more. That is why their JAMB cut of Mark is 120/400 yet still fail. That is why their Unity School cut of is 2 / 200 why Anambra State is 139/200 They lack brain to see Beyond their nose. I for one never expected this case to escalate to this level. The truth is PMB have successfully silence any reasonable reason. So only people like Garba Shehu are giving him advice... You could imagine. |
WHY CAN'T NORTH FIGHT FOR THEIR OWN INDEPENDENCE. ? I know Yoruba are scared of being alone... But the North have huge unused land mass... They were the richest before one Nigeria... Now the poorest... |
FC Barcelona defender Gerard Pique has exercised his right to vote for a referendum for Catalan independence on Sunday. There is tension across the region as police try to stop people voting, but Pique was able to. 01/10/2017 13:45h Sport EN Pique, who came out in favour of a referendum a few days ago, also said "This is a disgrace" in rerference ot the Spanish state trying to prevent democracy. Pique posted a tweet saying "I've voted. I don't get, let's nationalize all UK asset in Nigeria. I don't get? Kindly explain. |
Listening to president Muhammadu Buhari’s independence day broadcast, I was left wondering if, in addition to Hausa/fulani Muslim supremacy, hypocrisy has equally been made official govt policy under his rule. Aside reminding us of how he took part in killing over 2 million Biafrans during the Biafran war and threatening to kill more in his idiosyncrasic arrogance, the Daura born ex-soldier again showed his deep seated hatred and generational grudges for the people of the Southeast. But he added small “jara” today by playing the now boring, tiring and outdated Divide and Rule card by promising to look into the agitation in the Niger Delta while swearing he would unleash thunder and lightning on the “hot-headed” and “irresponsible” people of Southeast In reference to the Nnamdi Kanu-led Biafra agitation in the Southeast, president Buhari said and I quote, “I am disappointed that responsible leaders of these communities do not warn their hot headed youths what the country went through. Those who were there should tell those who were not there the consequences of such folly” Just so we are clear, only a man whose very existence rests on violence will interpret a call for a Referendum as a call for war. IPOB is not asking for war. They are asking for a Referendum which is the right of indigenous people recognised by all laws known to man. And the group is neither armed nor violent. No act of organised violence has been attributed to IPOB so far. All they do is stage rallies which have never witnessed even a stampede despite the large crowd. And most importantly, the Biafra agitation draws its very oxygen from two things: 1. The refusal of some very powerful but retrogressive elements in the North to allow for a genuine restructuring of the country to enthrone justice, equity, fairness and merit. 2.President Buhari’s highly divisive, vindictive and mostly commonsensically utterances, actions and inactions since he assumed office as president. Having stated these, I have some questions for Mr Buhari, How many of his “hot-headed” Boko haram kinsmen did he warn when they (the boko haram terrorists) were killing, maiming and bombing schools, markets, churches, police and military installations with the attendant harvest of blood, something they are still doing even as I type this?? How many? The answer is nil. Instead, he (Buhari) was busy going from one radio house to another, defending the group rated the deadliest terror group by global terror index. Buhari didn’t just defend them, he made it clear that any attack against the terror group was an attack against the North. In return, Boko Haram nominated him (Buhari) as their mouthpiece in a failed peace talk with Jonathan govt. Since assumption of office, it is on record that he (Buhari) has released numberless boko haram senior commanders imprisoned by the previous govt of Goodluck Jonathan. As I write, the Fulani herdsmen who share the same religion and region as president Buhari have continued to kill and maim only people living in christian dominated area, with govt-sponsored impunity. Rather than warn these “hot-headed” fulani terrorists, president Buhari has continued to protect them with a special military taskforce. How can such a man retain the mindless audacity to call Igbo leaders “irresponsible” for not warning their youths who are only protesting the grave institutionalized injustices of the Nigerian state being aggravated by his own nepotism and clannishness?? Between President Buhari and Southeast leaders, who does the “irresponsible” cap look better on? Let me remind President Buhari that him and all those who are opposing Restructuring are the biggest catalyst of secession. By actions and inactions, he (Buhari) has divided Nigeria in a way a million Nnamdi Kanu could never have been able to. Those who think the Biafra agitation can be quelled with guns, tanks, intimidation and cheap blackmail are grievously mistaken. Even if it is just an Igbo man that is left standing in this Lugard Cage, as long as the injustices and state-sponsored killings which necessitated the 1967 Biafra still persist, that one Igbo man will still cry towards Biafra. A wise man once said and I can’t agree more, “peace can only be a child of an intercourse between justice and truth” President Buhari must understand that any peace that is not a native of justice can only be a peace of the grave yard which is no peace at all. |
Gowon the biggest loser of all time... You name would be remembered for the million of children you killed through starvation. You are still foolish enough to threaten us with more murder.... Time would tell. |
OreMI22:The foolish one are actually hailing the old ones utterances. Taking about war and rerun now is not wise. No matter the call for Biafra... War or threat of war is not the answer. If the oblige him... Do Buhari know how the war would play out.. Nobody knows. If the riddicule his call and refuse to oblige him... Would he commit genocide. This is speech is even worse than 97% and 5%. |
Who are the people writing this speech for Buhari. Nigeria need reconciliation not war. War would not benefit anybody... Even west Africa would be affected. |
Fake propagandas.. Watch how it will maliciously hit frontpg |
lalasticlala FTC as much as I agree with Prof, Nigeria is far better off separated. Lord Laggard experiment is messed up. But Nigeria need some one, a geographical surgeon to separate us. So many bad blood, So many insult, So many, So many deaths. Litigation and counter litigation to the point of suing Buhari and Buratai for Genocide So many protest all over the world against Nigeria. Some political elite don't want Nigeria to move forward, They would block the division. We need someone to reconcile and peacefully divide Nigeria. I see no one on the horizon. |
The endgame of a referendum is achievable because history has proven that the Slogan of a ” Non Negotiable Unity ” is a myth and falsehood. The Politicians in Nigeria are not the first to claim that the Country will remain “one and indivisible”. Many dictators before Buhari and Co have only used such slogans to cling to power. Permit me to cite a few of them: 1. Dictator Josef Wissarionowitsch Stalin vowed that the Soviet Union will remain “Non Negotiable United” ad infinitum. However, the dissolution of the USSR in 1991 resulted in the creation of 15 independent countries. 2. Dictator Josip Broz Tito promised that Yugoslavia will remain “one and indivisible” forever. Today we know that he was only day-dreaming 3. Dictator Umar al-Baschir swore that Sudan was “one and indivisible”. Today we know that he was simply playing to the gallery. 4. Dictator Mengistu Haile Mariam pledged that Ethiopia will remain “one and indivisible”. Today Eritrea is an independent country 5. Dictator Edvard Beneš swore that Czechoslovakia will remain “one and indivisible”. Today there are Czech Republic and slovakia as independent couintries 6. General Suharto vowed that Indonesia will remain “Non Negotiable United “. However, today East Timor is an independent state. 7. etc. The truth of the matter is that APC combined with PDP can NEVER EVER maintain Nigeria “non Negotiatable unity”. The Soviet Union was the second most powerful nation in the world but she disintegrated into 15 independent states. |
Kazim88:No doubt Nigeria is still a British slave camp... We don't have right to self-determination.. We are forced to live the way British wants us to live politically and economically. It is not just Nigeria but most francophone and Anglophone countries... Their colonial master are still in charge. About Niger Delta... The masses are completely improvished by their leaders and elders. Edwin Clark have been bribe sinceeee... Immediately he was settle he started fighting Kanu. Urhobo leaders have been paid off too. Their Youth future have been bought off, that is the way it has been... |
“On September 20, 2017, Nigeria’s Attorney General Abubakar Malami and Acting Chief Judge of the Federal High Court Justice Abdul Adanu Kafarati secretly collaborated in issuing a flagrantly illegal order proscribing the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) as a terrorist organization to provide Dictator Muhammadu Buhari a pretext for genocide against innocent civilian Biafrans because of their Christian religion or ethnicity,” wrote Bruce Fein in an opinion piece published on Huffington Post But neither judges, nor attorneys general nor lawyers are shielded from prosecution for genocide or crimes against humanity before the International Criminal Tribunal. The principle that judges or prosecutors can be prosecuted for participation in the enforcement of illegal laws or the issuance of illegal orders that further genocidal objectives was established at Nuremburg in The Judges Trial sub. nom. United States of America v. Josef Alstotter, et al.( Military Tribunal III). Even non-lawyers would recognize that Justice Kafarati order violated fundamental principles of civilized justice. It was issued without notice to IPOB. It was issued without offering IPOB an opportunity to respond. It was issued after a secret meeting between Attorney General Malami and Justice Kafarati. It was issued by a tribunal which notoriously operates as an arm of the executive branch through bribery or intimidation. Victims of the barbaric Spanish Inquisition enjoyed more procedural safeguards against injustice and error than IPOB was provided. The order was issued under the Terrorism Prevention Act of 2011 which defines terrorism, among other things, as an act or speech which “may seriously harm or damage [Nigeria]…” No actual harm or damage need be proven. An excited imagining of the conceivable is sufficient. Moreover, the definition absurdly transforms the exercise of fundamental human rights into terrorism. Under the 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights, IPOB commands a right to freedom of opinion and expression and freedom of peaceably assembly and association. Yet Justice Kafarati’s terrorism order was provoked by IPOB’s peaceful protest of Hausa-Fulani persecution of Igbos and association to obtain a Biafran self-determination referendum. That is the same right Great Britain has recognized for Scotland and Canada has recognized for Quebec. It speaks volumes that no other nation has listed IPOB as a terrorist organization, including the United States and the United Kingdom. And no civilized system of justice condemns free speech and association as terrorism. In the United States, terrorism is generally confined to the use of force and violence to intimidate a civilian population or to coerce government behavior. In addition, the law in the United States provides listed international terrorist organizations with a right of judicial review before impartial tribunals; and, the Secretary of State is saddled with an obligation to periodically review every listing to determine whether they remain appropriate. Skeptics of the ongoing Hausa-Fulani genocide of Igbos point to the general absence of public reporting on the indiscriminate killings and torture. But journalists or publishers rightfully fear that publicizing the genocide would provoke immediate and lethal retribution by Dictator Buhari and his Hausa-Fulani armed forces. The available photographic and video evidence of the genocide is convincing even without independent reporting. History is instructive. Nazi Germany did not respect freedom of the press at their extermination camps like Auschwitz or Dachau. Holocaust claims were initially disbelieved because independent reporting was unavailable. The full truth emerged only belatedly after the Third Reich had collapsed and the death camps were occupied by the Allied Forces. Participants in torturing the law to facilitate or encourage genocide should recognize their vulnerability to criminal prosecution before the International Criminal Tribunal. They should learn from the Nazi example. http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_59c9680de4b08d66155044ff |
