I very much support the love from afar thing! B4 I got married, I had a quarrel with my SILs, they were saying terrible stuffs about me to hubby's EX who is still their friend. So they had a misunderstanding with d babe, & she told me, I was heartbroken & uncontrollable, I bursted too & said lots.
Till today I never forget the scenario, how they said hubby wasn't their bro cos he was in support of me. It was more painful cos I took them as my sis'

In the case of Nigerians, if you always show how civil you are, they start seeing u as a slow person any1 can manipulate. I think that's why Nigerians don't behave like they even went to school in the 1st place
Especially Lagosians

@op i understand you perfectly well because that's where i am. My take is simple if you have a seperate bed room always lock urself in there. It's doesn't mean you will abandon him completely "no" check on him once in a while and retire back to ur room and pls stop complaining to ur husband he's aware of what he's doing let him suite himself okay.

Jeeeeeez! I don't believe what I just read. How old are you? The woman of the house should always lock herslf in the room? Haba! B4 giving advice, do you stop to put yourself in them shoes? If you don't, then u can't say anything, just read and learn.

Some in-laws don't borrow themselves brain, if not I see no reason why they should invade someones home.
This is really not fair. If the OP should talk now, they won't remember all the while she's been managing their discomfort.

@OP, you and hubby should really discuss, but make a gentle 1, really gentle and afterwrds don't bring up AGAIN
The Lord is your strength

Ronnie65: I don't understand why lots of women want to live the life of "me and my husband alone" after marriage. Your hubby surely didn't drop from the sky so why are u suddenly uncomfortable with his people.
I tell my friends that my bf brothers will be my best friends because when am having trouble with him I can easily relate with them.

And because someone suggested that except he is schizophrenic, you immediately capitalised on that and start to claim he has mental Illness just to gain sympathy right?

We ladies most times are always looking for trouble where there is non.
Imagine you also complaining about the father in law coming around once a while too.
Will the story be different if the visitors were ur family?

If he doesn't encroach into ur bedroom or steal things from you, then let him be.
Your husband must surely have a good reason for letting him stay.

Please be wise and stop looking for trouble where there is non. And am sure your points are baseless hence reason why hubby refuses to act on it and reason why u are here.

Please grow up.

What in Gods name is this nonsense u call advice? Until you are married you can NEVER understand what she's saying. Is it too difficult to comprehend? She's not comfotable with sleeping alone with d male in laws, u're asking her to grow up... If you don't have anything sensible thing to say just pass

Why can't you guys be considerate? Asking her to cook, to endure & not see him as hopeless... When won't she?
As a grown man, u're happily invading ur younger brothers home. A 1bedroom apartment with a child... Don't u ppl even fear God?

Family / Re: Share Your Child Birth Experience by krystal101(f): 10:20pm On Dec 12, 2013
Hmmm... Wonderful topic

Well when I took in, I took 'agbo' for 4months, cos b4 I became pregnant I ate lots of sweet things. And I didn't like the stories of women who ate sweets after delivery

At some point I stopped 'agbo' and faced hospital proper...

I woke up on a sunday morning and saw little blood, I called my doc he said I should come for check up, I did & was induced contracted for 5 good hours & at exactly 4pm my son was ready to come at 4:06pm I had put to Bed & wasn't feeling any pain...

It was much easier than I thought I return all the Glory to God

What kind of generation is this? Sharing house chores with your husband? SMH... Most females here talking rubbish would do otherwise at home! No man, I repeat NO MAN would share house chores with you, don't be a fool even the poorest man wouldn't. Get married 1st let's see if u'll have the guts to tell him that

Car Talk / Re: Who Taught You How To Drive? Was The Person Strict by krystal101(f): 8:07pm On Dec 02, 2013
EyesulO: It's very funny reading some of the post here. I appreciate those who starting driving with very little assistance. Having taught nothing less than 30 people(i love teaching people to drive) to drive. I understand how difficult it is for some to overcome their fear of getting on the road. However, i will encourage anyone who is still trying to brace up...there's really nothing to be afraid of if you have a patient and resourceful trainer. I had fears too when i first started...it's double trouble when you have an impatient trainer on top of that...

Pls come and teach me. My hubby is teaching me atm. But he's always busy. And am scared a little tho & he's not strict

Lol! @ all the men that commented and were complaining...
1. If your wife changes, and you don't like the change, what happened to discussing it?

Having children & chores aren that easy, infact its difficult. Sometimes it's not easy adapting to the new life (hubby, CHORES, babies)
Sometimes you should understand to the men

@ topic:
My hubby became more concerned about me, esp my needs. He helps out at home.
