This research looks and sounds half-baked. It is unconvincing. Had the feel of a half-baked opinion.

Besides, even if one eats the ripe plantain raw, Naija sun go still fry am through your belle.

scondy:

To solve this....the organizers need to change the voting pattern.....that is the only way they can keep the randomness of the show....

In BBA, the winners were always unassuming.....i remember keagan's reaction to winning....so beautiful to watch.....he was just calm ....couldnt believe it....Ricco nko.........and the most joyous one for me....when Uti won.....even though i didnt support dillish ....she was also shocked to win....

Now getting to finals is a bragging right....the beginning of the end of the show .....

I don't think the show will survive another three years, if the organizers fail to have a proper round table meeting soon. It just keeps getting bland, year after year.

I'm not sure they'll attempt to restructure thier voting pattern at all, since it's thier Cash cow. However, they should sack their whole audition team. If possible employ the service of Havard trained psychologists to vet incoming housemates that will be worth our time. Not the same old used-and-tired rich, boring, spoilt brats script we are tired of.

In the spirit of unassuming: there was a clip I saw the other day of a lady applying make up directly from a black polythene nylon -- or was it a bagco bag sef --- I want her to win.

Haven't really been chanced to actively follow this year's. But I believe I've collated enough data on my per time basis --- anytime #bbnaija content appears on my twitter timeline, and glancing through this thread from time to time --- to draw a solid inference that the psychology of majority Nigerians is not that sophisticated to hack, if at all.

Dem swear for una with Mad women grin? One even got the final last year with a decent chance of winning. One year later, her apprentice wants to mad her way to victory, too. Chei.

Few years ago, coming into the Big brother house with a strategy was tantamount to foolishness because so many unaccounted random factors will doze you a heavy reality check that before you even realize what's happening, you are at Beat Fm taking about your 21days trial in the house.

But now? We now have a tried-and-true tested working formula that will always work, all thanks to Nigerian people mumu that will always remain constant.

Are you a mad Woman?
Is your attitude disgusting?
Do you know how to perfectly balance being a witch and victim at the same time?
Are you just arrogant for the sake of arrogance..even when you have nothing to offer that can atleast dilute it small?

Did you answer "Yes" to atleast two of these? Contact me, I will be your social media manager next year, if you don't win -- or atleast get to the final --- call me a Frodd....

Damn. I've not even graduated yet, have no affiliation whatsoever with this recruitment process, except for this thread I've been following ever since, yet I feel so nervous. I can only imagine how some of you feel right now. Safe to say sleep will elude many tonight. E no easy.

*************************

That 2012 Naijahotjobs thread was sad. People waited and hoped for 5 years. 5 years!!!!! My God. So sad. I hope all of them are in a better place in life now.

On the bright side, however, the APLs that rolled in for some of them -- bebrief and others -- was a beautiful thing to watch happen live. I could feel their emotions -- their joy, knowing that at that moment, in that particular instant, thier lives just changed for good forever. Powerful stuff!

Knowing what eventually happened, and on which day the APL strated rolling out, and persons who got, I felt like a god from the future when I was reading through the thread. I just kept screaming "calm down calm down , APL is coming tommorow here here oh" grin ..... I was even telling bebrief that he got the Appointment letter but he couldn't hear me.

Probably same way God is telling some of you to not bother much and calm down because you eventually got the Appointment letter but you can't hear ( for obvious reasons).

Anyways, I saw one comment on the thread that made me smile so much because it was like a beautiful travel through time & space. ( screenshot below).

Which is why you guys should take an oath of allegiance for posterity's sake that you would come back here many years later and simply type " I am senior manager now" ... or " I am so so and so now"..

Doesn't necessarily has to be NNPC related because fact is: there are many people here who won't get the APL. Of course they'll be disappointed at first, but with time, will end up in a much much better place in Life.

The important thing is to come back here many many years later and redeem the pledge you've made to posterity, so future generations too can read this thread one day and travel beautifully through time & space.

If all things go as planned, it is safe to say that on --- September 8th 2019, 8:04pm , A ritual began that will span for generations ........... and y'all were the first men.

Happy Sunday.

Lol. Of course the competition is probably not what it used to be. But If she and her team can work on whatever mental blockade that's affecting her, I believe she still has a strong shot at the title.
Sports / Re: Serena Williams Vs Bianca Andreescu: US Open 2019 Tennis Final by Ksslib(m): 10:41pm On Sep 07, 2019
Damn it! At this point, it is safe to conclude that Serena's problem is psychological.

Unless she conquers that mental block, the 24th ain't coming. This is so painful.

I just finished reading the naijahotjobs thread of 2011-2012

I almost got tears in my heart at the stage when APL showed up (page 690 upwards)

That sort of tension when APL showed up... It would be damn hot inhere when APL shows.. About 800+ pages were added when APL showed.. I guess we might get to 2000+ here.

The ecstatic moment when bebrief received a call from UPS to come for his letter and it seemed humanity had won against all odds..

And then there was the second batch theory.... This thread haven't even started yet and we are almost 1000pages already

That passion....Golden to see humanity united in hope.
Link to the thread please.
Thank you.

I'm beginning to get last season vibes. Only difference, players seem a little bit hungrier than last season. A little bit.

We ought to have scooped all three points here. ALL. Ffuck this shit!!

The substitution was necessary but misused. Haba! If they are going to ffuck shit up this season again then they atleast owe us the decency of doing it DIFFERENTLY. And entertain us while at it: say for example, Varane can run up to Benzeema and pull-down his pants when he's about to score in Elclassico.

How Vinicius Jnr went from being the son of Tony Stark Jnr to becoming Thanos, then back to Mr Bean, should be a case study at Marvel headquarters. Wtf!!!

Let him sit on the bench for a while and rethink his life.

If that doesn't correct the short-circuited fuse in his brain box, then we should cash out on him.

Strangely enough, defenders get better with age. Dude has been bossing since he was 19. Gets to 26, starts misbehaving.

-Lord
That's if Zindane will be bold to take that route. I think Varane's problem is psychological. Probably achieveing so much at a young age has eased his foot off the cylinder.

Putting players like him on the bench can only go two ways: he re-evaluates himself and comes back better OR he start noticing Zidane's bald head after the 3rd match on the bench.

Varane needs to be substituted angry
Yes, he needs to be substituted, but from the club totally. He is irredeemable, and has been of no use for a very long time. The celloptape sealing my mouth from questioning his use has finally succumbed to open air.

Varane is gone. Varane doesn't look like he's ever coming back. And it's so strange. Damn.

No. Even though I would prefer an engineering company if given the choice ( for several reasons which "ease of IT defense come January" is one of) it is not a must for me. I am open to exciting, new challenges. Thank you.

Been away from the thread for a couple of days. And when I saw the huge number of new pages I was yet to read, I thought "OUR" APLs had started dropping. cheesy

This thing about cancellation better be a joke( like the many theories that were passed on but continued to die prematurely, one after the other) , cos lai lai e no go work. I've invested too much emotionally in this whole process(even though I'm still a student) to not be finally rewarded with the joy of seeing APLs drop for people here.

I've followed this whole process long enough, become so attached that I actually now see myself in all of you guys; but I've not yet received alert from King, Farouk or Lazarus though. grin

I'm not strongly religious, not the type that believes in the magic of clicking like or retweeting "Amen" , but I know what it means to get a job of this calibre in a Nigeria many now believe is hopeless, especially for those of us born with a wooden spoon ---- so it is my genuine prayer that the impending APLs favours all of us( sorry......I mean, all of you. grin )

The plan is for today's GTs to become tommorow's sources. Nothing less!!!

Culture / Re: The Nigerian Culture Of Begging by Ksslib(m): 12:15pm On Aug 14, 2019
I remember telling somebody that even if Jesus comes down from Heaven to rule this country, nothing much will change, because Nigeria has a two-way problem comprising of not just the leaders, but the masses, too.

The mind of an average Nigerian works in a strange way. Our mentality is so warped that it is both scary and pitiful. The foundation of our reasoning on basic fundamental social issues -- like the one you just mentioned, and many more --- is simply disgraceful, and that is why I strongly believe we will "probably" never progress as nation.

I lost all hope when I noticed even those in academia who should know better, who should be enlightened & free --- professors, etc ---- still suffer from the same virus.

How can a collection of mostly mentally backward, wicked & sadistic individuals expect to collectively progress as group(nation) ? Impossicanto!!!

Social issues like the one you've highlighted is an indicator to how & where we started failing as nation. A mental revolution has to begin inside the minds of every average Nigerian before we can start dreaming of progress as nation.

Until then, we die here.

You write well. Your personal statement is more comedic than professional.

I'm a happy soul. It reflects in whatever I do. I've since stopped trying to fight it. Now I just try to be myself and allow the universe do the rest.

Secondly, maybe it's a lot less less professional than it ought be because it's not a typical resume I'm sending to an organization per se, but rather a light-hearted attempt at finding my helper. And also maybe because a part of me is not sure if/if not firms treat resume of IT applicants with an iron fist.
