Iceland knew they were playing a team with arguably the most potent and poisonous attack in this competition, so they came with a defensive strategy which they knew was their only closest life-line to survival. And it worked for them.

But be rest assured that their strategy will be much different against a Nigerian team they probably see as equals or maybe better than. Iceland won't give us the credit they gave Argentina today defense-wise. I'm sure by now they think they can beat us.

The only scenario I see them re-enacting today's defensive discipline is if their qualification depends on a draw by the time we meet.

I was impressed with our players tonight. I just hope they package and carry the fire I saw tonight back to Spain, to Madrid. It's clear what most of our players want/need is a "NEW Motivation" to want to break new barriers.

And as for Real Madrid, I don't blame us. I really don't understand why we are under heavy artillery. We saw something we liked, went for it. What we liked, liked us back. Our new coach can be a Messi fan if he likes. Inshort I prefer to use the word 'like" in this context since "fan" makes the situation sound a little too critical . The only person I'm even worried about in that team Casemiro.

He has been far from his best for a long time now. He loses the ball too easily, makes too many unnecessary touches atimes and worryingly of all, provides almost no solid cover.

I honestly don't know what happened to him. I didn't watch our last three matches so I can't tell if he's getting back to his glorious days.

The focus seems to be on Ronaldo and co but if Casemiro brings his A-game, a lot of things will go surprisingly well for us. But if he doesn't, I see us excreting a lot of sweat which could have been saved.

So klopp thinks if he makes that statement, Marcelo will stay put at the back to prove him wrong abi? Marcelo's strength does not lie in his sole ability to defend, it lies mostly on his ability to support and sometimes lead the attack.
