I still remember when I wrote jamb. How I travelled from my town to a town alien to me,just to write the exam. I still remember how I sat there at that bar reading my jamb pack like my life depended on it while others were busy enjoying life. Like I was going to die if I took my eyes off even for a micro second to crush the bad belle mosquitoes that were having a very nice time with my leg and of course,debiting from my blood bank with needle like mouths.

I stil remember how I was awake all through that same night which was just few hours to my exam not because the little boy that was on the same bed with me kept farting in his sleep but cos I was restless and kept asking myself "what if I fail"?

Then Pume came and I was worried again "what if I fail"? I remember how at a certain time,my priorities changed from "make heaven" to "pass pume,then we can start talking of making heaven"..lol

I still remember a certain time when all that mattered was to become a student of Uniben.

As I walked into class today to receive lecture for the first time,I paused and meditated on the journey so far and smiled.

I smiled because I remembered how not to too long ago I was an aspirant. "Bloody jambites",they will fondly call us.

I smiled because I looked back at how unserious I was with my jamb preparations but still made it. How very unserious I was with pume but still made it. And then and there,it hit me. The realisation that I could be anything I wanted to be --- the question was just a matter of "how bad ksslib really wanted it"?

And then and there, I muttered something to myself that will come to become an intimate part of my pursuit of happiness till the day I bite the dust

"If ksslib really wants it,he gets it"....

And I smiled..

Ecclesiastic 12:13 say!! Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter.
After a successful meeting session held by the SUG and the School management today, it has been concluded that schools starts tomorrow been the 10th of November 2015 while the hostel renovation continues.
The main reason for the hiccups is due to the hostel condition.
Please note that the SUG do not want a situation this which our esteem student will be stranded in school due to the ongoing renovation and that was d main reason why the resumption was on hold. Please note the following
*it has been agreed that temporary accommodation been given to all our students who which to stay in the hostel
*Hall two for all the females while Hall three for the males.
*ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES STARTS TOMORROW.
*HOSTEL PORTAL OPENS ON WEDNESDAY 11TH OF NOVEMBER BY 2PM FOR 100LEVEL
*AFTER WEDNESDAY, DATE FOR HOSTEL APPLICATION FOR OTHER LEVELS COMMENCE THEREAFTER.
On the final note, the SUG wants to use this medium to plea with the students to kindly treat the newly renovated facilities with care to avoid quick damage as we had to plead to ensure that temporary accommodation was given despite the ongoing renovation.
We want to also use this medium to wish you safe journey as u return back to school.

lol.. I loathe when people use position and power to lord over the weak and probably the downtrodden. I never envisaged a rough clearance process. . be that as it may, i would be cleared soon. It a pity i had to pay extra to emend an error my fingers are Virgins to.

Its a harsh world out there bro. How the so called "lecturers" go about the clearance process made me realise how the deep the level of decay has gone in this country. Na who know who. Sadly,an academic institution where professionalism and fair play should be the order of the day is not left out.
