"UP" means Uploading..
It will be ready in 2 weeks max.

Nigerianmigrant:
Hello everyone, I enrolled for my passport some months ago and captured in October, I did it through the DIY route and I was able to make contact with an immigration officer that day and we exchanged numbers. I called her yesterday and she promised to help me check my production progress, she reached out this morning and said it was currently in Data uploading. I have been trying to call her but I haven’t been able to reach her. I’m just concerned and would like to know if that’s a green flag or I’ll still have to wait for months ?

Please who knows what month they are producing in Alausa?? Has anyone who captured in october received theirs yet? I captured on oct 11.. please anyone with information on ALAUSA production should please let us know

Alausa takes 3months and in most cases + some days after capturing, forget about the 6 weeks on the printout.

Alausa just started producing passport for September applicant but January to August passports are ready.

Captured July 13th at alausa..
Went there 19th October and had "UP" written on it, told to check back in a week..
25th October, still not ready.

The day you lose your file , have nin verification issue you will understand.

I'm DIY, had nin verification issues, went to nimc and had my profile re-uploaded(that was all they said my issue was, an upload issue) waited 24 hours, went back and captured.

Even if you pay and have nin issues, they can't help you sort that out. You'll still have to go DIY

Hello I checked for the progress of my passport at Alausa yesterday and this time instead of "AA" they wrote "UP". What does it mean?

I'm guessing they mean:

Awaiting approval- AA
Undergoing production -UP

But could anyone confirm and how quickly should my passport be ready after it starts showing UP?

Please how long after "UP" was yours ready?

I'm not sure what ut means but I noticed immediately we got into the collection office they checked them, wrote AA on some and handed them back to the owners telling them "not ready, check back in a couple of weeks or call the person handling it for you".

UP- they just told me to come back the following week

Please guys answer my question. Is it compulsory for the guarantor to declare asset on the guarantor form or he can just skip that part . I need to submit the form today .

Those who have passed that stage your advice is needed thanks

I filled mine with 1 house, 1 car and N1mn+ because my guarantor had those. The truth is they just made sure I filled the form had had it signed and stamped by a commissionerof oaths, They don't verify assets.

After everything and I captured, my next of kin was used as my guarantor, not the 1 I submitted

My driver just paid my first week earnings and I noticed he received a lot of cash payments during the week.. pls how does uber collect their 25% in situations where almost all the trips were paid for in cash?
Business / Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by kude(m): 2:55pm On Dec 16, 2016
Just the vehicle papers. Your finger prints and snapshot ll be taken and a printout given to you to veryify that you are in the system

To get this right without coming off as rude, your opinion is that partners should'nt go ahead to pay for the operational license? My question to you is that your vehicle gets impounded right now and your driver is handed a 60k ticket fine cos you dont have the license, what would you do about it?
vpaymoney:

This is the problem, people are already paying. I believe we can form an association and deal with this issue collectively. Uber is creating the jobs they all fail to create and to now operate with Nigeria people (not foreigners) has now attract the attention of dsame govt that should have done it in the first place. Or am I missing something?

Maintenance cost is very High Right now paying 60k,100k as the case may be isnt easy now. Lasg Greediness is too much. Now I know why most youths run outside the country cos all efforts to forge ahead here is been frustrated by some idiots at the helm of govt. I admonishes all of us to leave ego aside and come together to fight this. We can use a twitter handle or #tag to fight this and all other social media. At least they can reduce it . cos to me its too much. They themselves cannot pay such money. We can even protest to Lagos assembly, and governor's office at alausa and APC secretariat Ikeja. EPADAN will be very useful in this kind of matter in the future. Before they kill the original purpose and motive of Uber and other apps which is creating jobs.

Thanks loads for helping out with all the info, hope your driver gets back on the road asap..
Najm:
No I have not got the license yet.coughing up 100k for now is not easy after pAying 60k fine.

Operational License(Code of conduct bureAu,opposite police college,ikeja GRA)_100k.....car owner

Accreditation(LASDRI Office in oshodi or adeniji)_1k....driver will use this to get the badge.

Driver's Badge(Code of conduct bureAu,opposite police college,ikeja GRA)_6k....driver.

LASDRI DRIVERS license(oshodi or adeniji)....I think it's 1k too....driver.

That explains it all I believe and u won't have any worries again....I hope.

OK here is it. Uber will not tell you everything you need to operate a carb in Lagos. They only ask for what will enable you be on their platform.

Accreditation is done free of charge at LASTMA officein Oshodi whilethe driver's badge is gotten at Code of conduct bureau at Ikeja opposite police college for 6k.

If you don't want to go through all that, just tell the VIO guys you are not an Uber driver. Just form a story that you are driving your oga's car after all you have your LASDRI. card.
alright, thanks..

Many thanks for your response. I haven't paid the fine and I have booked an appointment with Uber for this afternoon. Why will Uber ask for hackney permit if it wasn't part of their requirements.i do not have hackney permit...will hear what they have to say when I get there later today...thanks again.
.. how did it go?

What's the accreditation and drivers badge? And what's the hackney permit??... I hope I haven't made a mistake as I have just gotten a Camry I want to put on the platform..
