I honestly blamed Sanwo, Obasa and his Lagos legislators members for this Igbo desperation acts to seize power from Yorubas in Lagos. A visionary legislators speaker must has enacted laws to determine positions of minorities in terms of their position in politics, lands, businesses and housing. However, a proactive governor is extremely expected to relocating these Ibos from major markets zones like Alaba, Jankara, computer village etc by relocating them to Ibadan Express forest and converting their market venue to monumental parks. Above all, we shall see the end of handful floods that are proudly saying they'll soon become mighty oceans! press9jatv: 2 Likes |

You're talking it too far Brother. Irrespective of people remarks, I think we still need to be objective and respect their concerns indiscriminately. This forum is meant to help people out with broader ideas and we're here to support them with our wealth of resourceful knowledge and years of living in UK not to oppress people! I think one of the reasons why we're not moving forward as a country, is just because we failed to support and love ourselves. Over years, I have consistently observing lifestyles of minority communities in UK like Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladesh & few Chinese just to mention few. Most of these communities will bring their brothers from their various countries staying with them assisting them in selling their petty business on high streets. I visited one of my Pakistani course mates during my undergraduate programs, to my astonished they were visually 6 people living in a single bedroom flat with happiness and show of love. An average Nigerians in UK have competitive mindsets, they always see friends and families as competitors. Let love reigns. Help if you can and say No if you can't. Nature will always lifts those who are willing to give arms to fellow beings. To those bad wagons you'll all soon be Baba & iya London! A word is enough for the wise! inphoenix: 8 Likes |

I think 5 out of 10 Nigerians that are living in UK are born wicked. Most of these guys have terrible characters, I used to warned new comers to stop depending on them on any money related issues or shelters. An innocent lady got stranded at Gatwick entry weeks ago having sugarcoated heavily before leaving Nigeria. Londoners are not friendly, unfortunately most of them are living fake life on social media. I encourage everyone to plan well before leaving Nigeria. Best wishes! izyblaze: 7 Likes |

Of course, you've nothing to loss in having plan B. But I will definitely advice you to apply for your ATAS in time, so that it can keeps counting and at the same you can also gather all your funds in one account to keep the proof of funds running. I do believed that all will ripe at your favour if you plan well. You should have nothing to worry about, just plan well and well organized! Stephenos: |

Unfortunately lots of people are given out advice without details referencing. I don't think is possible for international students on students visa to be study in UK for part time programs. Part time programs are limited to indefinite to remain in UK or citizens. I honestly stand to be correct anyway. chiago95: 3 Likes |

Of course, Gillingham is a few walk to Medway campus, just a throwing stone! But Chatham is a bit far, you honestly need to take bus. You may decide to live in London if you can cope with travelling stress. The beauty of this is that University of Greenwich has inter campuses buses running through the 3 campuses. You need to buy oyster card with little discounts from University of Greenwich main campus in London. Then you can be travelling from London to Medway campus anytime you have lectures of course, lots of Indians and Bangladesh are living in London but schooling at medway. You honestly need to be awake in morning to meet up your bus. However, if you're daughter of Dangote, loaded with pounds I suggest you stay in Medway or Gillingham in order to avoid stress and enjoy your studies. Honestly, both communities are save and ok to reside. Lots of Nigerians shops on Gillingham high street, you'll definitely see tons of Nigerians around to cheer you up. I honestly wish your family happy staying, best wishes! Lilly211: 2 Likes |

I graduated there years ago, medway campus is close to Gillingham and Chatham. The campus is extremely excellent for study having situated longest library in Europe if am not mistaken. Drills library is sophisticated with diverse of textbooks and hi tech computers. The lecturers are seasoned and deliverables. The environment is quite different from London in terms of bubbles but is Ok if you're not outgoings. The cost of living is averagely ok, you can get nice apartment with moderate price but no jobs in that zone. You can only get few places to hustle in either Chatham or outskirts but nothing in Gillingham and medway. Above all, the university is strictly on studies they'll surely bombarded you with coursework. If you're going for Engineering course, I advised you to tighten your belts. Feel free to ask more questions. Best wishes Lilly211: 4 Likes 2 Shares |

You decisions to switched over from core STEM courses that can possibly give you an edges for Tier2, to project management programs is never a good deal. However, I understand that ATAS might be a bit delay to be release but then that is not enough reason for your deflection. As a mechanical engineer in UK, if you're focus and collective there are lots of companies ranging from manufacturing, NHS utilities engineers, HVAC engineers, Airbus and Aerospace, maritime and general services engineers. Brexit has open doors for people like you to fill vacuum gaps if only you're resourceful. Above all, Project management fields are not limited to science oriented background alone, I got lot of friends from management who are also running up with this programs. Your major aim should be to transcend to tier 2 with less stress, if you're thinking of just going to UK for study without future plans then you've not chosen a better model of better future! Look beyond your nose. mechoau: 7 Likes |

Eya! I am so sorry for her conditions at present. It is quite unfortunate that lots of Nigerians failed to understand that UK education system is far different from Nigeria fire fighting approach to studies. They follow their calendar and academics dates and nothing can change a date. I think this case will serve as deterrent for others to learn from. However, there is little light under the tunnels, if she decides to follow these principles. Yes, having late few weeks to course starting date the university is afraid of losing their sponsor lienced, hence they're playing safe. I suggest she should just meet her programs leader and registers all her courses and assure the person in charge that she's ready to take up additional responsibilities in order to meet up with backlogs course work and assignments. She can also negotiate for exams in replacement of any course works she has missed. 1stdami: 7 Likes |

The new ‘Graduate’ route will be open to all international students – including those from India – who have valid UK immigration status as a student and have successfully completed a course of study in any subject at undergraduate level or above at an approved UK Higher Education Provider. The visa will allow eligible students to work, or look for work, in any career or position of their choice, for two years after completing their studies. This builds on UK government action to help recruit and retain the best and brightest global talent, as well as opening up opportunities for future breakthroughs in science, technology and research and other world-leading work that international talent brings to the UK. Home Secretary Priti Patel said: The new Graduate Route will mean talented international students, whether in science and maths or technology and engineering, can study in the UK and then gain valuable work experience as they go on to build successful careers. It demonstrates our global outlook and will ensure that we continue to attract the best and brightest. Sir Dominic Asquith, British High Commissioner to India, said: This is fantastic news for Indian students, who will now be able to spend more time in the UK after completing their degree, allowing them to gain further skills and experience. The UK is home to some of the best higher education institutions in the world and continues to welcome international students. I’m delighted that numbers of Indian students coming to study in the UK are constantly increasing, having doubled over the last three years. Last year alone we saw a massive 42% increase. This exciting announcement will help ensure that the UK remains one of the best destinations for students across the world. The UK welcomes genuine students from India and the rest of the world for the positive contribution they make to the UK. Indian student numbers have significantly increased over the last three years, reaching almost 22,000 in the year ending June 2019. This was a 42% increase on the previous year – and almost 100% higher than three years ago. In addition, 96% of all Indians who apply for a UK visa are successful – meaning the vast majority of those who wish to come to the UK are able to do so. This announcement follows the creation of a new fast-track visa route for scientists and the removal of the limit on PHD students moving into the skilled work visa route, which collectively aim to cement the UK as a science superpower and a world-leader in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) sector. Almost half of all Indian students (almost 130,000 since 2008/9) heading to UK in the last ten years chose a STEM subject. Further information Often referred to as a ‘Post-Study Work visa’ in India, the new Graduate route will launch for the 2020/21 intake of students to university. After the two years, they will be able to switch onto the skilled work visa if they find a job which meets the skill requirement of the route. Further details will be announced in due course. The visa will offer opportunities to work or look for work after graduating. However, unlike the route which closed in 2012, this new route will also include safeguards to ensure only genuine, credible students are eligible. The status of each higher education institution will be shown in the register of licenced sponsors, which is publicly available on the GOV.UK website. This follows a shake-up of immigration rules announced by the Prime Minister in August to encourage the world’s top scientists to move to the UK. The UK has seen a strong increase in Indian student numbers in recent years. The latest available statistics are on the Home Office website. Specifically, in the year ending June 2019: Almost 22,000 student visas were granted to Indian nationals – a 42% increase on the previous year and almost 100% higher than the year ending June 2016. In addition, over 500,000 visit visas were granted to Indian nationals – more than 1 in 5 of all visit visas. More than 56,000 Indians received skilled work visas – a 5% increase compared to the previous year, which is also the largest increase for any country. The numbers of Indian students studying STEM subjects in the UK were provided by British Council from the HESA Student record 2007/08 - 2017/18. Data in original format is available on the HESA website. Kukujajaja: 1 Like |

I think this platform was initiated to give coherent and accurate information. I am disappointed that lots of people are just here to misinterpreting UK government and misleading innocent people. Too bad! 2years PSW is meant for every UK graduates irrespective of UK universities and courses as long as the prospective student graduated from UK university under this new law. Of course, there is no extension if such graduate fails to secure a job with any organisations that can sponsor his her tier 2 visa after he has exhausted the 2 years PSW. Let get our facts clear before sending it here for human consumptions. IamE: 7 Likes |

Telling them is a turn off by some universities especially when they have gotten enough seats for your chosen course. I will rather advice you to diplomatically say No response to such rhetorical question after all they're not ECO that will determine your visa progress at that point. Just say No to avoid unnecessary stress and aftermath long stories! However, you must declare all your visa refusals during your visa applications to UK Embassy, obviously they got templates and links to track your insincerity and misrepresentations. Wishing you best of luck in your precas interview! lexyj123: 1 Like |

With your explanations so far, I deduced you don't understand education platform that can give you CAS. Marine programs in UK is within 6months and in this case the maritime college in concerns will encourage you to apply for students visiting visa. However, having switched to online maritime programs because of your work you can only apply for 6months visitor visa in UK to sit for your academics subjects and Oral. Obviously, your visa was refused on basis of misrepresentation and inconsistent in applications. CAS can only be issued to tier IV students visa on undergraduates or postgraduate studies not for short terms student visitor visa. Pay the rest of your tuition and make enquiry from your college when you'll be writing your exams and ask for visa documents from college then apply for students visitor visa to write your exams and advanced training certification as the case maybe. Best wishes! Renesonz: |
