Politics / Re: Covid 19: Rivers State Government Orders New Sitting Arrangements For Vehicles by Kulverstukas(m): 7:51am On Mar 23, 2020
Mstick:
Please I have created a topic about this and I don't know why the mods refused to bring it to front page despite my plea.

I paid for international passports for my family and I since last year in Rivers State, and till today we've not gotten it.

We're being told no booklets, apparently Rivers State immigration printed passports for the public last in June 2019.

We were told to bring extra 15k per passport to "sort" the PCO, initially I refused because the money I spent for the express was A LOT!

But along the line I had to pay because of my child's failing health.

I want to beg any Nigerian that can help me, please, please, please, it's long over due. It's been 6 MONTHS now.

Mr Rauf Aregbesola, sir please help me.

I went down to immigration office last week, I was told no old booklets and if I want I can apply for the new booklets, that means I've to forfeit the 240,000 naira I've already paid and pay another money.

I am pleading! This is not the way it was.

Rivers State immigration has caused me and my family so much pain. I don't even want to talk about.

Somebody PLEASE HELP ME.
I could assist you get your passports... You obviously have no one influential at Fed. Sec. PH that's why you're being tossed around.

Yeah, 1 million would be perfect. My ex-manager is an honest person. He worked for me for three years. He left to seek admission in one of the schools in the west, so he was replaced. He didn't secure the admission. He should have returned, but my payroll had increased and I couldn't afford an extra person or sack anyone as they're all fantastic staff. He had to remain in Lagos, to seek other adventures, he's available though if you need him!

Goodluck

Any good LG machine 8kg and above should do, at least three pressing irons, 4kva and above generator should do, other fittings you might need depending on scale of the business and your taste, wardrobes to store clothes, chairs, tables, washing materials etc. TV/AC/Music system is highly recommended too so you could charge decent fees without complaints. They could also serve as form of entertainment to your workers while they're at work. What location are you looking at? If you need a very good, experienced and honest person to manage the business for you, I could gladly recommend my ex-manager who's in Lagos as well. It's a very fascinating and highly rewarding business. Just hard work, consistency and transparency. With these, the sky would be your starting point! Goodluck!

The dry cleaning business is a very profitable one. I own one in PH(I don't run it myself) and it's very profitable. The opportunities I see in Lagos are even more. I tried setting up one last year around Ogudu/Ojota but couldn't get the kind of shops I desired then. All you need is washing machine(s), pressing irons, a good generator and a good location(I cannot overstate the importance of this. This actually determines how well your business will thrive). Regular electricity is a huge plus too. The staff you employ have to be very hardworking as well cos if you're in a densely populated area and you don't meet up client demands, your drycleaning business will collapse sooner than later. Once you have a prime location and good shops, you could go ahead with this advice. Every other thing you need to know, you will learn with time and experience.

I see you. with that kind of business you should be in Lagos honestly ...

I'm sure I'll need you very soon.

Funny enough, I'm in Lagos already but not for work purposes. I get your point and I have done jobs in Lagos a few times but I get to rent a temporary place to use as factory, transport my skilled workers to and fro, incur a lot of running costs which would be nonexistent if the job were in PH and many of the companies would send their staff to learn what exactly you do in the name of job supervision so as to put you out of business lol. For these reasons, I charge forex($) for jobs outside PH. I still get a few jobs in other southern states but PH wins it for me cos I be full indigene and get to use indigenous quota shit to get few jobs on a consistent basis which is what puts food on my table but I'm very keen in this your project and would definitely want to work with you. Just hit me up when you need me. I'll give you favorable costing and charge you in naira.

That aside, what's the estimated total tonnage of the metals used here and how do you take care of the welded joints, you use oil paint or spray them?

EkoErrands:

thanks, hnmn free angle iron? I would jump at that any day. another client wants another boat lift this January and his concept is even more challenging.
Lol. Yes I could give you free angle irons if you were in PH, many clients who can't pay the balance of their jobs due to many reasons(including but not limited to politicization of the jobs) abandon their metals in my factory so I have lots of angle irons,U-beams, flanges and even ladders dusty in my factory for many, many years. Most of these clients aren't even operational any longer or have moved out of Nigeria so there's really no breach of contract! Good to know you have another project this January. I used to galavanize metals and bolts for a huge Oil Servicing Company which also assembles boats in PH so I'm quite experienced. I have also done jobs for major IOCs here ranging from Chevron to Shell to Addax to Mobil etc. I'm honestly very impressed by your project and would gladly accept any galvanizing jobs 100kg and above. Do update us regularly on this thread about this project as I am now a keen observer. You go win las las..

Cheers

Nice innovative and informative thread. Just in case, I do hot-dip metal galvanizing that meets international standard and would be of assistance if necessary. You sure have a lot on your hands but I'm certain experience and perseverance would guide you. If you were in PH, I could have helped you with some equipments(Forklift, metal baths, angle irons) you might need for free. I love fascinating projects as these! I wish you all the best!

PS: Seems like you're in Lagos. If you know prospective clients for metal galvanizing in Lagos, we could do business as I'm working on opening a branch of my factory in Lagos this first quarter of the year. Proofs of work are available and I'm available for meet ups if and when necessary.

Cheers

I wonder what Fayemi's name is doing in a purely Kano/Northern affair. Fayemi's recent asslicking and political sycophancy because of 2023 just reeks of total desperation and trust me, these kind of leaders are not the ones we need as they would always sacrifice public good for personal interest/aggrandizement. Perhaps, he fails to learn from history. Orji Uzor Kalu did worse asslicking but we all know his story today.
Only and just if our state and regional leaders could have our interests at heart for even 10 mins, this country would sure be better.

Politics / Re: Dickson Attacks Wike, Says Bayelsa Not 'annex Of Rivers' by Kulverstukas(m): 5:58am On Dec 23, 2019
They have started again. See Dickson claiming to love Ijaws and deliberately trying to start a war between Ikwerres and Ijaws, knowing fully well the implications as Rivers is multitribe and its indigenes/residents quite violent in nature. Lol. We Don wise, those stale political propaganda are a thing of the past. Dickson who stole Bayelsa blind and packing money in cartons to his Sagbama home was his major occupation as a Governor now trying to distract Wike after he failed woefully trying to install his cousin as governor which Wike tried to kick against in the interest of Bayelsa and the PDP. Is it the same Dickson who alienated all PDP foot soldiers ranging from even Barnabas Edure, his brother from Sagbama to Fred Agbedi, Kakas, Boyloaf, Sidoni and others too numerous too mention that's complaining about Wike? In fact, while Bayelsa and Rivers politics are always somewhat intertwined, Dickson from inception never honored this relationship due to greed and selfishness, and became the first governor of Bayelsa to aleniate Rivers entirely from its affairs. Wike never ranted publicly despite all these debacles during his tenure. Now Dickson has failed and been rendered irrelevant politically, him come know say Ijaw na im brothers. He's looking for political and public sympathy from the Ijaws to re-launch his political career and knows the ethnic/tribal card is the best to play here, hence these his inactions. You love Ijaws, Bayelsa has just 8 local governments, predominantly ijaws and a monthly FG allocation of 13 billion, asides the huge IGR from OICs and Oil players, yet no good school, road network, security, infrastructure etc. Even water to drink na problem. Yet they're your brothers, keep deceiving yourself till you get out of office, probed and subsequently go into political oblivion. You are no match for Wike, we the Ijaws know your game plan and it has failed from inception. We would never trade Wike despite being Ikwerre for a failure like you.

Peace Out!

Politics / Re: APC Crisis: How Lack Of Consensus Stalled Oshiomhole’s Removal by Kulverstukas(m): 8:02pm On Dec 22, 2019
All these governors are just trying to remove Oshiomhole for purely selfish reasons. Else, I wonder how a man who has a penchant for winning elections even in states hitherto controlled by the opposition would still have people calling for his head. It's just pure greed and selfishness to anyone who wishes to tell the truth. The fortunate thing is that, Oshiomhole also enjoys overwhelming support from those who know his worth within the party. I really think Oshiomhole is going no where. Even if he is, at least not now he still enjoys the support of Jagaban, the Senate President Lawan, DSP Omo-Agege, Speaker Gbajabiamila, many senators, ministers, governors and influential statesmen. Anything is possible but I see Oshiomhole as one who has the political and financial capital to withstand his current political travails.
