And in the event that you feel like restoring them on your own, these ones attached can do. However, you might have problem driving across from Cotonou to Lagos. They run but not too great. You might have to fix them in Cotonou before driving them into Lagos. These will be going up for auction tomorrow (Jan. 21st, 2010). Should sell for about $1500. We can be on the lookout for other upcoming auctions for unrestored ones in the same price range. It all depend on you. You can spend as little as you want to spend or as much as you wish to spend. This is a 1974 Super Beetle. Doesn't run. But can get it running for shipping purposes. Shipper will not take if it doesn't run but can't guarantee condition to make it to Lagos from Cotonou

Dear Mr. Ahonohai, In response to your request on this thread https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-361181.0.html I have found several ways to approach your request. You failed to mention how much you are willing to spend. However, i have a notion that you know exactly what you are looking for. I have a considerable interest in classic autos (which doesn't mean a lot to 99.99% of Nigerian buyers) cos most people are looking for the shiniest newest toys out there. So either classic or current autos, you can put out the call this way. I particularly enjoyed the "find" of old automobiles. There's a gratifying effect in it for me. At least for me. Moving on, i reached out to my contacts and found the following: 1974 VW Bug. Its has a fresh rebuilt engine and runs strong. The car could still use some paint and interior work or drive "as is" if you don't mind. The cost breakdown is as foillows: Cost of car $2500 Shipping $1800 Fedex Charges $ 200 (Shipping/Clearing Docs will be mailed here to me then i mail to you in Naija) My fees $ 500 (I Work really cheap )------------ $5000 Please be fully aware that vehicle can only go to cotonou cos of the year. You will be responsible for clearing All funds must be fully paid upfront My email is : promise72@yahoo.com

Can definately help you out. I will try and post some pics later in the week. But if in the event that you have pics of your own for what you have in mind, it will help. Just be aware that it will come thru cotonou. Send me email on: promise72@yahoo.com |
zioninvest:sent me email when you get to california. my email is: promise72@yahoo.com |
what state will u be in the US? |

Fhemmmy: ![]() cant-c-me:It will cost almost 500k to ship and clear. Where do you suppose to get a 2005 EOD for 900k and for the seller to make profit? ![]() Be realistic. |
pics? i tot rabbit is a vw ![]() |
Ceemay:Why don't you consider a very good used Naija Murano? I don't have one for sale but i believe you can find a very good one out there. The reason i am saying is that cos of the 2005 year u are requesting it will be hard to get a non-problematic ride from your own list. The shipping and clearing of any of these rides will gulp almost 500k-600k. That leaves about $13,000 left for buying etc. Here are the alternatives i can suggest to you: Consider getting something like a 2003 4Runner. A 2005 Pathfinder but mileage might be slightly over 100k [Can't guarantee leather) Can try hard for a 2005 Murano but expect mileage to be around 120k. [No leather interior guarantee] Also you can consider a Salvaged (No Accident but like theft recovery ) 2004/2005 Murano or may be a 4Runner I am not quite sure if FX can even come in and i have never been the greatest fan of VW Toureg hence my reason of leaving them out. Will shoot for a 4Runner 1st, then Nissan if i were in your shoes. Functionality superceeds everything in vehicle as far as i am concerned. Just aim for ending up with something that will serve you well. Good luck in you search. |

throttler:I am somewhat baffled by your offer. Just to buy the vehicle, you are offering less than what the advertised price. Then who pays for shipping and clearing? The getting to Jos? My email is: promise72@yahoo.com Regards. |
@ poster, I think i can be upfront with my own opinion. Your budget is waayyyyy too low for waht you are looking for. 1996-1999 for that amount of money. At least you can tell your friend. |
