Delivered to your doorstep anywhere in Lagos. My email is promise72@yahoo.com. I am a California based registered dealer. |
@ poster, Lots of people read this forum. They are not all as dumb as you might think. This pics are DEFINATELY from two different cars!. The first pics where you show the back show that there is a slight front damage on that car. The later pics afre from different car. They are not taken in the same place and moreso the wheels are different. One is alloy, the other is steel wheels. Theres nothing wrong is selling an accidented vehicle AS LONG AS ITS DISCLOSED! Better luck next time!!! |
Dubino:Give the guy a break and lets see what happens. By the way it shows Los Angeles slash NY ![]() |
2Legit2Qui:What do you mean? You dont have to be insulting. Its either you know or you dont. I just got done speaking with someone who told me that there is fairly regular supply of power in some part of oluyole industrial area. He said that power only go away for about 4hrs a day otherwise there is constant power in the area. Which kinda surprised me. I went to the Poly in 1990-1992 and have always love Ibadan. Havent lived there since. All i was asking is an update/confirmation from people on the ground that live in the area. Is that too dumb for your taste? Need to check yourself before u ![]() |
I will like to ask the house if anyone knows how regular (or otherwise) is the power supply in Old Bodija, Ibadan. Or which other nice area in Ibadan enjoys very good power supply at the moment. Thanks a lot. |
@ poster pics would be nice |
Are u guys really mean "tear rubber" or just a barely used 2009 vehicle? I am a little confused. |

Siena:Sometimes there are things that defy logic in Naija. A diesel engine is much durable and stronger that a petrol version. However, in Naija, cos of the mechanics are not too good with fixing diesel engines, it sells cheaper. Like you said, that doesnt necessarily reflect on the value of a diesel engine/vehicle. In Ghana, most of their vehicles are diesel. Especially the transport buses. I even saw a RAV4 (1999) diesel engine! The vehicle is already great in fuel consumption, now to make it a diesel!!! Thats very cool!!! Its Nigeria climate. Mechanics will advise you to saty away from V6 and diesel engines simply because they dont wanna fix it. They use to advise people not to get a fuel injected car until there's no carb engines left anywhere! ![]() |
BizBooks:Naija pips are very baffling to say the least. They will cry that they dont want a V6 Accord, yet they will fall over each other to buy a Honda Pilot Jeep yet the engine of a V6 Accord and a Pilot is almost the same. The Camry V6 too, they dont want. Yet they can almost trade their uncle for a 4Runner which is a base V6 Engine ![]() |

lets know how it goes. post pics too Good luck |
that is a very excellent price. As long as the car is in great shape and runs right. Price is just a little piece of the puzzle of value. Not the whole component. Go for it. Is it toks or Naija used? If its toks, i bet the guy is just dropping the price to sell the car. people dont know too much about the car and hence dont sell very well. lets see pics when its possible for you. Good luck. |
Go ahead and buy. No shaking as far as parts is concerned. Like i said, it shared a lot of parts with Tercel and few parts with Corolla. You will be fine. Toyotas are more easier to maintain than opel as far as parts are concerned. You can still get toyota parts. Go ahead and buy if you like the car. Test it well. Lets see pics if possible. How much are you getting it for? Keep us posted. |
The Toyota paseo in the US was sold from 1992-1997. The engine is a 1.5 liter engine. Its a very good car as far as petrol consumption is concerned. The engine is very similar to that of the Tercel. Great little cars with surprisingly loyal followings. They tend to have a very good low end torque which makes them moves very quickly from start despite a small engine. Some Paseos, surprisingly are convertibles (Maintaining the top will be something to think about). They are somewhat rare to find even here in California that seems to be a ground zero for automobiles. You dont see paseos everyday. With that said, the challenge we will run into here is simple and hard: Finding a clean one worthy enough of our time. These cars tends to be liked by a younger crowd, hence there is tendency for abuse. However, you can still find very good clean ones around used by matured drivers to buy. Also, u need to mention what year/body design you are looking for. Are you looking for Manual Transmission or Automatic? Since these cars are not within the 10 year rule, it will come to cotonou. So the only way i will get involved is that 100% is paid upfront. Getting a Paseo (1996-1997) model from US to cotonou will be about $6500. You handle the rest from there. $4000 for the car, $1500 for shipping, and $1000 my fees. There are few guys in the house that can help you get it in from cotonou to Nigeria. Otherwise you can check around Lagos or go to Cotonou and see what you can come up with. I have attached some pics for references. I dont have to preach to the converted. You know exactly what you are looking for but still,,,,, Let me know what happens.

Mr. Teddy, Just spoke with you. I just came back to the US from vacation yesterday and my friend emailed me that he has the item with him in Lagos. It has been stuck in NIPOST system since early September. You have my friend's number. Please contact him and you should have it in your hands tomorrow. I am learning a little more about Nigerian system. It was mailed late August and they promised 8 days delivery. The US post office mailed it out and that's all the info the tracking gave.Even my friend went to the NIPOST (VI) office in October to inquire and they dont have any trace of it. The tracking number didn't even show up in their system. I then have to file a complain with the US post office about 1month ago, who in turn requested info from Nigeria. I almost gave up on ever seeing the item again. My advise to anyone out there is that "STAY OUT OF NIPOST SYSTEM" if you have a choice. Please keep the house updated on the issue. |

sunboy:Personally, i dont see why anyone should be calling you in private to discuss anything. Its plain and simple process of sending $$$$ to the US. Anyone can do it from any bank. Also, if you cannot post whatever you have to say/what you will do on this forum, you probably have something to hide. |
badboy:The way some ppl price things . So even if he agrees to the price, how were u supposed to pay? On credit? For a 2007? ![]() |
Sundaynig:What do you mean. Can u explain further? |
Only in Nigeria, ppl hasnt figure out that the only way to wealth is HARDWORK!!!!! Dont be fooled. I am yet to meet a successful person that didnt work hard. When i say successful, i mean for a long time successful. |
From the little i know, plastic production has many types depending on what you want to make. There is INJECTION MOLDING, BLOW MOLDING, ROTO MOLDING among other things. INJECTION MOLDING: This is the type that is used in making things like spoons and forks, combs etc BLOW MOLDING: This is for things like jerry cans, juice container, motor oil container etc ROTO MOLDING: This is for big containers like GP Tanks, Chemical Drums etc. The cost of getting into these thing can be quite high but not impossible. Unfortunately, we Nigerians want quick profit. Nobody wants to produce anything. But you cant import your way to prosperity. You must produce! You must manufacture! Its amazing how ppl have money to waste on Wonder Banks and Over-subscribed for First Banks stocks and other stock while they dont have money to establish factory. Everyone want to be an Armchair investor and prosper. Why cant a public offering be sold to raise money for a mini-refinery in Nigeria? And situate it somewhere in Ondo Area (or Anywhere far enough to the Delta not to be problematic). How about a state of the art Quarry plant somewhere in Ogun State? That can be done for about $20m - $50m depending on the size. Lots of tippers still wait in Long line for granite till today. How about launching a communication satellite in Space for Nigeria only. Not owned by the govt but private sector. With a budget of between $250m - $500m. It can be done. We can be online, high-speed, and very cheap too. And this is a country that people lost a fortune to Wonder Banks and recently bad loans running into BILLIONS of Nairas. Nothing to show for it!! |
i think we should start a stopwatch to count how fast it will start breaking down ![]() I wanna cry but i wont, the grey Altima at the background is my consolation. Send me an email, i will gladly drive out to GA to give you a ride when you break down. Enjoy it while it last. ![]() |

will give you. Let me give him a heads up. yarn him briefly but not at lenght. did u just try to call me? |
Nigerian are not huge on Note collections or collections in general. if its not new and shiny, we dont want it! I wish i were in naija i would have bought it tho. But one pound used to be equivalent of N2 naira after 1960 independence. Even with inflation lets assume its N200. And what are u gonna do with that? |
,mama-gee:Not from Naija though |
