Superted01: Please how did you make the payment and is English language proficiency accepted. How much is the 50 euro in naira please. You can pay with a domiciliary acct debit card. I paid mine with a GT naira debit card before CBN reduced int'l payment to $20. I was charged about ₦28k. Also, I will advise you upload a test report showing proficiency. I don't think a letter of proficiency will carry much weight like an English test report. My opinion though. The reason is because you're competing with people with better profiles. |

Therealosmund: Please besides the university of Luxemburg is there any other university in Luxemburg because I also applied to the university of Luxemburg and I’ll be uploading my letter of proficiency that I can speak English very well Is a letter of English proficiency sufficient? Make you no go waste money for application o. If you got the go-ahead from them, then no problem. As it stands, I think University of Luxembourg is the only full fledged university in Luxembourg. Others are business schools, I guess. |

Good afternoon, house
Please has anyone applied to University of Luxembourg this application period? Any news from them concerning your application?
I've applied and paid the £50 application fee. The latest update I have on my portal is that it has been sent to the faculty.
Also does anyone know who is currently any Nigerian student at Luxembourg? |

Ugochi15: Is it a must that one has to be acquainted with the three languages?
I also want to know the requirement for Bachelors degree, I want to apply for Psychology as that’s the only course I see viable in the faculty of humanities/social science as the courses of study are limited.
Not getting enough info on school site. Please I don’t mind getting your contact to gather more information as I have less than 1 month to the opening of application. My email: gloryugochi3@gmail.com From what I can see on their website for Bachelor's degrees, you have to be proficient in French and or German in addition to English language. None is taught entirely in English. |

Mirol: My Visa interview transcript. NOVEMBER 8th, 2021. counter 9.
Exchange of Greetings
Consular; Have you had previous travels? Me; No, I haven't had reasons to.
CONSULAR; Whats your current education... Me;I was saying Civil Engineering while he intruded asked if Bsc and said yes.(I should have corrected him, as it a B.Eng.) He immediately asked the a next question.
Consular; I see you're going for an MBA, Why this choice? Me: Yes, I will actually be concentrating on Project management which is my major in my career, it very special to me because the cause integrates business analytics, Finance and accounting management in its course curriculum which I find very important to.my career prospect. I also have a tuition scholarship of about 55% which makes the balance very affordable for me and my family.
Consular: How do you intend to fund your study, I can see here you have a scholarship but it dosent cover all. Me; The remaining cost will be funded my brother who is into car dealership, he is been active in this business for over 20yrs with an annual profit turnover of over a 100million naira. His reasons for funding my studies is because he believes in my career prospect and and also my ability to give back with the skills I have acquired during my studies to his business and the community at large and lastly he is also very financially capable to take up the cost. thanks
Consular; What's your intentions after your studies. Me; I plan to work as a project manager and I also have a startup plan for a project management company that will be into consultancy services and training of young professionals in the industry back here in Nigeria knowing that with the skills and training I must have acquired during my studies, I will be able to deliver on this. thanks
Consular; keeps on typing and then gave me a blue, reasons based on section 214b. My guy, remember the guy in front of you on the queue and we later talked after the interview? Same Civil Engineering? Take heart, bro. We try again. This time, we are coming out better. |

holutee: Morning bro, please I need to talk to you to make some personal enquiry, I studied civil engineering , planning going for msc in civil engineering or construction management, pls I will really appreciate that, Thanks What kind of enquiry do you want to make? I studied Civil Engineering too. If you're looking for cheap schools in US, I can recommend this. 1. South Dakota School of Mines and Technology COA= $26k. GRE required, English Test waivered for Nigeria, WES evaluation of transcript required. Application fee= $35 2. University of Texas, El-Paso. Check out other Texas schools. They are relatively cheap. COA= $27k. GRE and TOEFL required. Unofficial transcripts accepted for your application. Application fee: $80 3. University of South Florida: COA= $32k. GRE and TOEFL required. Unofficial transcript accepted for application. Application fee: $30 Others not too cheap I know are: 4. The University of Alabama COA: $48k. GRE and TOEFL not required. Unofficial transcript accepted for application. Application fee: Waived for Fall 2022 5. New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. COA= $42k. GRE and TOEFL compulsory. Unofficial transcript accepted for application. Application fee: $100 All requires 3 recommendations. I know this helps. Google still remains the best place to find answers. |

Charles61: Hello guru in the house, is it possible to only evaluate HND transcript with WES ( course by course ) with out ND transcript? No. You will be asked to submit it. The WES website is so programmed that you cannot skip it. I wanted to evaluate my BSc certificate for course by course because I indicated i got in through DE. It automatically prompted me to add my post secondary school certificate (ND and or HND). So I had no choice than to do so. |

cupcakes11: Good morning guys, please I need recommendation of materials for duolingo English test. And how long can one study for it to write the test. There are no particular study materials for Duolingo Test. The site has its own practice questions and exercises you can attempt. Duolingo Test is very simple and easy. Practice the exercises on the site as much as you can. Even IELTS is far harder. TOEFL iBT is medium in difficulty. My opinion though. I prepared for mine in less than 3 weeks. I had 130/160. Duolingo is also cheap. $49. Most US are now accepting it. Please find out on the school of your choice website. Aim for 130 and above and you will be fine (though most schools want 110 and above). University of Alabama, U of South Florida are part of the universities I know that accepts it because I applied there and got admission for U of Alabama but I couldn't meet up to join them for Fall 2021. All the best. |

Akanjikoay123: Hello, i went for my visa interview this morning at the lagos, Nigeria embassy today.
Unfortunately i was denied for the f1 student visa at the cosulate. The visa officer asked me just three questions and the interview went like this.,
Vo: why are you going to the united states? Me: I'm going to the united state for my undergraduate program to study public health and wellness in rowan university Vo:what attracts you to this university? Me: i was attracted to this university initially because of its uniqueness of having two medical campuses, one in stratford and the other in camden, they also have the best facilities for course, i also love their class module and size in which i dont have to struggle to hear what the lecturer is saying. Vo:I've you been out of the country before? Me:no i haven't, i have no reason to.
Then he gave me back my passport and i20 with the blue paper. What could be the issue? Your reason for choosing the university is very vague. You should have talked about how it will help you future ambition, how the courses are tailored, the school's research areas etc. Kindly read the transcripts of other people in this thread and make the necessary adjustments. All the best. |

Oluwacolded: What does it take for someone to tell us schools admitting for spring that gives admission without TOEFL or IETLS. It doesn’t take anything from you guys. I have read 1 to 100 pages nothing significant there.
The issue here is that if someone asked something as I am asking and someone have asked previously they don’t get answers cos you refer them to previous thread while this same attitude keeps recycling without you guys giving information to the newbies. Google is your friend, my brother. All you have to do is to search for it on Google. Very simple. Meanwhile, most Spring deadlines are in September/October. I advise you begin your search now. There are dozens of US universities that gives admission without TOEFL or IELTS. |
