Annael:Thank God Kenya will build some extra buses for you |
Annael:You're not honest, that Morocco how many floors is it?... |
Annael:Why are you not tagging the number of floors on each post, some of them are 15flrs |
Annael:And this will be the largest high-rises project
|
Annael:Quick search and found that they are one and the same as the ones in the pics, If we start checking the proposed and underconstraction... do you know more than 25% of all upcoming buildings in Africa are in Kenya We have Upperhill Square which has been upgraded from 66flr to 85flrs or 400+m, after the owners put up the income target, and many others https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.ctbuh.org/News/GlobalTallNews/Top12TallBuildingPredictionsfor2017/tabid/7431/language/en-US/Default.aspx&ved=2ahUKEwi6nOCKveTcAhUCgRoKHUS7BMAQFjAPegQICBAB&usg=AOvVaw1l5QRAZCkl62VXB04_3JTU |
Annael:This is unique in Africa.....Kenya has been ranked ninth globally in geothermal power generating capacity, a new report shows. According to the Renewables Global Status 2018, the country tops in Africa with 700 megawatts (MW), retaining its place compared to last year. The US has the largest geothermal generating capacity with 2,500 megawatts followed by the Philippines (1,900 MW), Indonesia (1,800 MW), Turkey (1,100 MW), New Zealand (1000 MW), Mexico (900 MW), Italy (800 MW) and Iceland (750 MW). Kenya beats technological heavyweight Japan which has been ranked tenth with an output of 500 MW. The rest of the world share 950 MW. Ethiopia is the only other African country with developed geothermal energy (7 MW).

gallivant:Sometimes I feel sympathetic to these people, imagine they have a bigger population and this is all they got to brag with...only 4?? |
Kazikazi:Which weeds are these, this is 2018 but the news we're talking about are not from 2018, ...I get such news from Kenya bcz of our free media and freedom to criticise... Do you know TZ and Nigeria has one of the highest number of mulnourished people in the world, according to WHO report... search about it... and stop your obsessions with food and kibera |
TayserMahiri:I can imagine Dar minus those 3 buildings, can u take that pic? |
Annael:There's ONE project in Nairobi called Avic in Nairobi... 35×2 ~30×3 &47×1 only that one project sums up Dar with 4buildings |
Kazikazi:Even first worlds have local challenges, even poorest countries like TZ and Nigeria has it as well...like draught,is a natural phenomenon ...I was talking about developments |
Annael:Kenya is cursed to be superior, while TZ is blessed to be inferior/least developed place... You have only 4 tall buildings, compared to Nairobi's over 20 |
Streets of Nairobi
|
Annael:Oceans and mountains are God's creations, I wish to see what's your achievements...and try to avoid that section of Dar, we're tired of it |
Annael:These four or five buildings have become monotonous here, same buildings pics taken from different angles repeatedly |
On the streets of Nairobi
|
gallivant:Their only option of making a mockery on Kenya was "kibera&food" until it became monotonous, now they've chickened out.... I expected a challenge for electricity generation from both the laziest nation and the poverty superpower... |
Maasailand has many developments/achievements that the "superpower of poverty" only sees them in Hollywood movies...
|
nwoke39:Looks like Abuja |
TayserMahiri:They should build a store or silo ![]() |
Year 2018Open defecation: Nigeria’s sanitation challenges SESAN 22 APR 2018 NIGERIA’s age-old culture of open defecation has stubbornly held sway in many parts of the country, in spite of the rapid urbanisation being witnessed across the land. It is a mark of bad governance that a practice that should rightly belong to the past is still in the ascendancy, despite the havoc it wreaks on the society. Health experts say three factors are responsible for widespread open defecation: poverty, lack of lavatories and ingrained cultural norm, which makes the practice socially accepted in some parts of the society. While state governments should persuasively get communities to understand the health and economic consequences of defecating outside, there is also the need to coerce communities to stop open defecation, by adopting methods and passing laws that are more stringent and have a top-down approach. |
