Politics / Re: Buhari Did Not Pay Subsidy - Get Your Fact Right! by kutchs: 6:54am On Apr 07, 2018
Remoter:

Let us be factual on this please, PMB doesn't want any citizen to pay more on PMS due to little boom the economy is enjoying. However, he doesn't also want to revert to very corrupt subsidy regime hence the decision to allow NNPC take full responsibility.

Only three options were available then
1. To completely deregulate and allow market forces to determine price which will be bore by citizens 100%
2. To fully start subsidy and allow elites who already have a sealed relationship with DPR, NNPC,PPMC and NAVY to fully come back and continue to milk our slim economy.
3. To shield the cost completely from the populace and allow fractions of our crude oil profit earned by NNPC to also be used for the differential cost.

PMB only opted for the best on our interest. Let be appreciative of his humane effort.

Will you just shut up you deceptive conman.

This comment shows how intellectually challenged and deficient you are.
No human being is above mistake, in fact our human nature is sinfull, thus that friend who accepts his mistake will be more welcoming than an idiot like you who refuses to accept responsibility for what he has done wrong.

To err is human
To realize and accept your mistake is golsen
And
To forgive is divine.

I would rather have a friend who accepts responsibility for his mistakes to one who continually pushes the blame for his mistakes to another.

I would rather have a PDP made of humans who errs to a APC made of pretending and decayed 'saints'.

This government is the most transparency government since we return to democracy. I like the way the presidency keep exposing member of cabinet. During Jonathan administration corruption was celebrating among the member cabinet.
He exposes them and does what after?
What has happened to Babachir Lawal he 'exposed'?
What has happened to Buratai we helped him expose?
What has happened to Dambazzau we helped him expose?
What has he done to Abba Kyari and Kingibe who have been exposed?

Nonsense, sycophants like you are the reason why this man treats us without respect.

Daviddson:
The difference between N739bn and N91bn is N648bn. Can such an amount be looted by Magu, even if he were corrupt...? No! It seem to me like Magu doesn't trust a lot of these government officials who ordinarily will have charge of the monies and he's decided to keep it away from them at the moment. Just my thoughts.
And also, 'about 40%' of the recovered monies can't be transferred to govt account yet because they're still under temporary forfeiture. Park well. Since you don't understand my logic.
Good you indicated early on it's your thought otherwise I would have asked you to tell us all you know about the money and deal.

Having said that, if you read the article well, the minister specifically asked Magu to produce/provide evidence where the cash retrieved are kept.

Let's assume for a minute but not conceeding that he is keeping the money away from.some people as you said , now the demand is show us where the cash is kept even if you are to keep the money.

Again I'm sure you know that EFCC has no right to keep any recovered money. The money as we all know is supposed to be kept in the AG's office.

So don't you think keeping the money when he isn't supposed to is in itself corruption?
Politics / Re: Is The SOUTH EAST Just As Parasitic As The North??? by kutchs: 9:07pm On Mar 25, 2018
0monnak0da:
You are very intelligent

The point is a simple one what fraction of a state's GDP is IGR and what fraction is allocation.

The greater the latter is the more parasitic it is

That is very elementary logic When a state funds its budget by 90$ allocation then parasitism comes into the equation except for the major oil producing states non of which is in the SE . If it was it would reflect in the size of the allocation

Imo, Ania and Anambra states are oil and gas producing states perhaps not in the same breath as Akwa-Ibom and Rivers States but oil producing nonetheless.
You need to know that what these three states produce a day is most certainly enough to fund the budget of the SE if it a country.
Allow for fiscal federalism, resource control or whatever name you give it and the SE won't complain, that I can't say of Northern states.

0monnak0da:
The SE people are always quick to label the North as "parasites" depending on oil for existence but is this nt true for the SE as well?

Recently released figures of IGR show the SE performance to be very low when it comes to IGR with the most significant paart of its budget based of federal allocations.
Infact Ogun state has nore IGR than every single one of the SE states COMBINED.
Your post here shows you don't even know what you are talking about. Using IGR as a basis for tagging the SE parasitic shows you are intelligent.
IGRs are generated internally and spent internally without a kobo of it getting into the federation account to be shared.
Lagos doesn't share it's IGRs with other state neither do Ogun, Rivers, Imo or Kano.
Parasitic should only apply to what a state or region contributes to the centre which gets shared to all states.

Statehood politically applies only to a political entity that enjoys sovereignty.

@OP great piece you have put together there.
Permit me to add the NHIS boss case. Here is a man suspended by his boss the Federal Minister of Health for offences bordering on financial irregularities and misappropriation but was shamelessly reinstated by Buhari against all wise counsel.

Permit me also to add foolish and imbecilic comments like the one he made in Taraba State that more people were killed in Taraba State than were killed in Benue State as it's about number and not the sanctity of human lives.

How about his priotizing wedding ceremony to condolence and visit to grieving communities attacked hey his kinsman Fulani herdsmen?

You people should have cried about his ride as well or expected him to come in sacks with ash on his head.

If he had pretended to hate the red carpet, his haters will still complain. And it is very evident they don't give a damn about the kids, they just want to criticize.

The president came to the state. In a sane country, people will be eager to know what solutions are being considered to end the problem but in Nigeria, even Senators who are part of the government are opening their dirty mouths to criticize an inconsequential red carpet treatment.

We are waiting anyway to see what solution he has to the problem we shouldn't bother about an inconsequential red carpet treatment.
While we are waiting, more than 50 people have been killed in Kogi State.
While we are waiting, the people of Enyanwu in Ebonyi State are running away from their land as a result of attack from herdsmen.
While we are waiting, our military men continue to die in their hundreds in the hands of Boko Haram.
Yes we will wait for him.

A president that doesn't know it's morally wrong to walk on red carpet on the scene of a tragedy he's supposed to have stopped from happening deserves to be hailed as you suggest.

BluntTheApostle:

So, he should refuse to come down from the plane simply because a carpet has been laid out for him Or you expect him to roll up the carpet Either way, people will still criticize him. If I were Buhari, I would just live my life and work.
Well I'm not him and so can't determine what he should have done there, but a person with clarity of mind should have known it's morally wrong to walk on red carpet on such an occasion.
It's either he doesn't know what red carpets stand for or the Yobe State that planned the visit doesn't.
Either way, it's insensitive.
Mind you, directly or indirectly he as president is responsible for the abduction of the school girls. If his govt has been alive to its responsibility of protecting lives and property of Nigerians an oath which he swore those girls wouldn't have been abducted. So coming to a the scene of your govt failure and walking on red carpet is indirectly telling the people 'go to hell, I don't care'

Red carpets for heads of states marks a formal occasion and not celebration. The red carpet for celebrities is what marks glamor or celebration.
What manner of president will be walking on a red carpet in a school that has just witnessed the abduction of 110 students and whose whereabout remain unknown? At the airport may be neglected but within a school still sorrowing come on bro.
He's on a condolence visit and walking on a red carpet, what do you expect people to feel like?
Politics / Re: Emotional Clap Back To Fayose's Tweet Against Buhari That Has Gone Viral by kutchs: 4:47pm On Mar 17, 2018

He could be preoccupied with the killings. It is easier for you people to criticize but yet many of you can't even run a business without packing up within a week.

Supposing he even recognized the red carpet and refused to walk on it, what purpose would it serve? People like you would still accuse him of playing humble so as to win 2019 presidential election.
We all know what red carpets signify, celebrations isn't it?
What is he celebrating at the scene of a major national tragic incident?
You think we are fools?
Politics / Re: Emotional Clap Back To Fayose's Tweet Against Buhari That Has Gone Viral by kutchs: 4:05pm On Mar 16, 2018
Dick A says the president must have been preoccupied to notice such trivialities.
Me ask if that doesn't that show the president doesn't know what is happening around him. Little wonder he didn't know his IGP disobeyed him.

For a president not to recognize a red carpet when he sees one shows how lowly he thinks. It's a shame.

buhariguy:
he promised to defend the constitution, is crime-free in the constitution?
Secondly, he promised to chase boko haram from sabisa forest, which he has fulfill.
Thirdly, corruption is now hide and seek game, no more open stealing, broad day stealing.
Beside he never promised corruption free state.
And you forgot that one of the cardinal provisions of the constitution is the fundamental Human Rights of which right to life is even more fundamental.
By promising to uphold the constitution, he promised to protect the lives and property of Nigerians a task which he has failed woefully.

You are crazy (no insult intended pls) to say he promised to chase Boko Haram out of sambissa forest. Even if that's true, has Boko Haram being chased out of sambissa forest? The Dapchi girls abducted recently where are they being kept?

Come to think of it, why only sambissa forest and not the whole of Nigeria? When you chase them out of the forest and the scatter to other parts of the country to continue their mayhem what have you done? Boko Haram is even stronger now than they ever were (no thanks to the Buhari 's reinforcement through the ransom being paid).

To say corruption now is no longer an open game shows how much you know about Nigeria. The FRSC used to be the only sane security agency in Nigeria before May 2015 but today their own corruption has reached high heavens. They now extort openly from motorists without fear and shame.

A president who reinstated Rasheed Maina suspended by Jonathan for corruption can't be described as corruption fighter.

A president who reinstated the NHIS boss suspended by Jonathan for corruption can't be called anti corruption czar.

A president under whose nose massive corruption and looting is going on is anything but.....

You said he never promised a corruption free society, chai my friend I do not know you yes but I will put a question mark on your sanity. How can you be this horrible?

PDP met an external debt of more than $30b in 1999 and left it in 2015 at $4b.
I remember I bought an Mtel line for #15,000 in 2004 and an MTN line for #9,000 in 2005, by 2015 I was begged to buy one mtn line for #50 and get two free.
If not for PDP the poster would still be queuing up behind the dilapidated NITEL phone booths to make a call. He's able to come online and type rubbish because PDP empowered him and others like him.
