You can't satisfy everybody; Letz appreciate the little he is doing before asking for more.
The Governor is focused on infrastructural development which for me he has performed very well, let the next governor focus on human capital
Focusing on infrastructural development shouldn't be done at the expense of the welfare of the people. I appreciate his strides in that area but he must pay the workers a living wage so they can live and put to good use those infrastructures. No use having very beautiful roads, scenic roundabouts when the people are starving. There's a need for a balance between the two.

Another Igbo bashing post? Can you guys ever get over your obsession with the Igbo? Get a life and make something of it please.

The Igbo doesn't need to convince the world Nigeria is zoo, the world has eyes and it sees. It sees the hopelessness in a country that offered so much hope at independence. It sees the mess Nigeria has become.

As for killing the Igbo again, don't go thinking we're back to the 1960s, things have changed.

what exactly is the main objective of Afenifere?

Is Odumakin the same as Afenifere?

An opposition group?
A wailing group?
A one man riot squad?

What has reputation got to do with waiving a general rule for a constrained burial of a very public figure?
Do you ever imagine what will happen if we keep bending the rules to accommodate 'very public figures?'
The govt imposed a complete lockdown on both Lagos and Abuja and flouted its order too in ferrying the corpse to Abuja, why does a govt have to approbate and reprobate at the same time?

Politics / Re: The Lies About Religious Crisis In Northern Nigeria by kutchs: 1:17pm On Apr 18, 2020
DanArrewa:
Religious and tribal crisis in the north and why is the north badly stereotyped?

As the Igbos want you to believe, Northerners kill all southerners regardless of their tribe or religion and that Hausas don't see yorubas as true Muslims.

This content is going to be Rational and am going to be very objective.

Dear southerners... You see Igbos?? Anything coming out from them should thoroughly be investigated, their hatred for Islam and Northerners is making them do anything possible to paint the north black and also turn everybody against the north.

When we say north, we mean a region not a state or country!!

The Northern Nigeria is made of 15 core Muslims states.

In these 15 northern states we only have 3 states in which crisis do happen.

These 3 states include, Kaduna, Kano, and Jos
For the past 15yrs now kano has been very peaceful... For the past 10yrs now Jos is peaceful! For the past 12yrs now Kaduna has been peaceful... This is due to education and exposure that is going on

But the enemies of the North will never stop telling you how the Hausafulanis want to Islamize Nigeria by killing Christians and raping their women...if the north is that unsafe and barbaric why are millions of your brothers still in the north??Even when the north decided to give you a quite notice to go back to your peaceful region... Your fathers, governors, including Ohaneze were all begging... Millions of you are here in the north hustling along side our people... These same people will come online to tell you that northerners are murderers!

These same children of hate cant stop telling you about Kaduna crisis but will never tell you about Aba and onitsha Crisis Which they massacred innocent northern traders.

They're even lying that northerners do kill Yoruba Muslims and other southners... This is a pure lie!!
Telling you that Hausas don't know the difference between Yorubas and Igbos is a lie!!in the north Yorubas are known as Bayarabe...the first person that teach me how to recite the Quran is a Yoruba Muslim he's the imam of our mosque here in kano, Telling you that Hausas don't see Yorubas as Muslims a big lie!!

No Doubt we have large numbers religious fanatics and bigots in the north but most of them are now old and the new generation of Hausafulani are changing the narratives! The new generation of Hausafulani don't pompous bigotry like that of some of our fathers!

Igbos Should do the same... Stop transmitting hatred and bigotry from generation to generation... Because the hatred will surely consume you in the future! Which is already gradually happening!

We have very peaceful northern states! States like Sokoto, kastina,Jigawa, Gombe, Kebbi, yobe and Nasarawa have no record of religious killings or tribal killings... If not for Bokoharam Borno is one of the most peaceful state in Nigeria.

But when there's religious or tribal killings in jos or Kaduna, you see them stereotyping and tagging the whole northern states.

Every state in the north have their own mentality and level of exposure. Kaduna crisis is mainly religious... The kano killing is against the people of Igbo origin no Yoruba man was killed!

Stop stereotyping the whole northern states because of political and religious instigated crisis in Kaduna!!

Igbos should stop looking for opportunities to paint the north balck...

Tribal and religious killings do happen in every region... Including among the Igbo's... Aguleri and umuleri killings each others

Nkpor and obosi people killing each others because of land...alot of communal clashes is happening in the south!

Killing of northern treaders at headbridge, Okpoko, nkpor, and other part of onitsha and Aba do happen including looting their goods and properties!!

But the only thing we talk about is north!! The only people that you want everyone to see as killers are northerners!!

An average northner is a fan of Zaman lafia (peace)

If there's killings in the east... You'll call the killers miscreants and lazy people...

But if that same miscreants kill people in Kaduna... You will call them Islamist!!

Killing people is evil... Even Islam clearly stated that if you kill an innocent person is as if you've killed the whole world!!

I'm not here to defend Islam...I'm here to educate some southerners that don't know what's happening in the north...

Make your own research independently and get your facts... We have the most peaceful states in Nigeria

Watch and see how Igbos will try derailing this thread!
When did Plateau State (Jos) become a core Islamic state? Is that how you Muslims want to annex Jos to your caliphate?

How is sanwo olu coping without any conflict with the government he took his health personnel into the airport to check the temperature and were possible quarantine anybody coming into Lagos which the federal government is in support of that.
You don't have to be so rigid to everything
How can you lockdown a stat 100 percent .
If it was emergency by air ?
Recall that Wike has severally implored the FG to prevail on Caverton to make their passengers available for health check to no avail. Recall too that Caverton isn't the only company doing business in Rivers State. There are others like Aero Contractors, Bristow and others, why aren't they also affected?

This isn't even about 100% lockdown as you claim but about disrespect to the laws of Rivers State. Wike has no problem with Caverton as a business but with their flouting of his executive order. People no matter how highly placed should be law abiding.
Politics / Re: Caverton Flew In 220 Passengers Without COVID-19 Screening –rivers by kutchs: 6:49am On Apr 12, 2020
Prof Obiaraeri got it all wrong. Wike is not contesting Nigeria's airspace and airports with the Federal Govt, he has never and will never. He isn't insisting he must be the one to grant flying permit to Caverton and other airline operators, however given the executive order (which he has powers to issue) anyone steeping into Rivers State must subject himself to COVID 19 check by health officials.

Caverton and their passengers are not exempted from compliance with the order. He has warned severally against Caverton, what did the FG and Prof Obiaraeri do?

The only people we need to here from for now are the medical professionals in charge.

Instead of lamenting over the president, you your part, practice good hygiene and follow NCDC GUIDELINES.
Nigeria isn't as half developed as the US is, with some of the best medical and health workers and state of the art Health facilities yet President Trump addressed the nation on the issue.
While it's true that everyone has to practice good hygiene and follow NCDC guidelines, do you know how reassuring the address of the president can be in times like this?

I can understand you though, perhaps you are all too well aware he has nothing to say, doesn't even understand what the issue is.

Rossippi:

It is you that is stupid and inhuman. When God created you, did He say it was not your job to help your fellow man in distress?

Did He say leave it all to government?

Every Sunday you go to church to pray for riches for yourself. Is that not what you Nigerian ''christians'' do? Church for you is simply an ATM to beg God for money. Is that what your bible says worship is for? Is it not for selflessness and loving your neighbour as yourself? When last did your corrupt pastors stress such virtues?

No wonder you think it's not your job to help others in distress.

In the UK a century ago, when people starved in the streets and govt corruption was rife, private citizens came together to set up charities, and 'soup kitchens' for the poor and hungry. They didn't say ''it's the govt's job, none of our business''.

They took responsibility for their fellow citizens. Those private charities still exist today, despite the existence of govt welfare programmes for the poor.

It is your moral DUTY to help your fellow man if you can, irrespective of what the govt is doing or not doing. Get that into your little selfish skull, you hear?

This is purely the emotional outburst of an insecure person devoid of any sense. No where in my comment did I suggest it's wrong to assist the need, I merely opined that begging isn't a business to be proud of. Even the Bible you're so quick to reference condemns begging when it says he who doesn't work shouldn't expect to it. I'm sure even does who beg aren't proud and happy they're begging. That's my point my dear.

Again, while it's my moral duty to help the needy, it's both a moral and legal duty of the govt to support them and take them off the street to ensure they are neither abused nor abuse others. You need to check the 1999 Constitution to see what they social responsibilities of the govt are.
There are so much the govt can do for the vulnerable than leave them at the mercy of the elements. Don't encourage govt's irresponsibility, that's my point.

BTW, keep your insults to yourself.

Do you know some beggars have mental health issues that prevent them from 'hustling' or being productive ? It's not always about having 2 hands and legs. Try to be sophisticated in your reasoning.
Don't celebrate govt's irresponsibility. Begging isn't a business to be proud of A responsible govt would identify those with poor mental health and send them to a rehab centre and not allow them on the streets where they could be abused or even abuse others.

The country has enough money to run some social services for the poor and stupid posts such as this validate their irresponsibility.

I will always respect Mbaka prophecy. There is no man of God in Nigeria today that can withstand Mbaka's prophecy. You can quote me to prove me wrong
I guess you started following his prophesis in 2015. Those of us who have known him since 2001/2002/2003 know he's a scam.

If you think any govt agency in Nigeria today is independent of the presidency, then you are high on expired weed. What PSC are you talking about?
The truth is that Abba Kyari controls virtually every damn govt agency and what he says goes.

In any case, let's for a minute conceed that the PSC is in charge, I ask what rational justification do they have to promote an officer four times in four years? What exemplary and heroic deed did he accomplish? How has he distinguished himself from his fellow officers to warrant such rapid promotion?

Pls answer.

Your post meant to make Obi look that isn't it?
Perhaps you can start by giving us the context in which the quotes you referenced where made.
'Nigeria would soon collapse' is this the first time we're hearing that said? Is Obi the first to mouth it? Why not give us the full background and context instead of picking out the quote isolation?

Again, Charles Soludo (much as he sounds brilliant) is an appointee of the govt and would always pander to the wishes of his employers. He wouldn't want to say anything that would put his job at risk.

What we need today are men who speak truth to power, who say things they way they are without fear or favour and Obi is one of those men.
If we keep hiding the actual state of affairs from Buhari, Nigeria won't make progress.

Obi is talking like an economists, he has always been insistent and consistent with his belief that the govt (particularly the Nigeria govt) has no business running a business as they have made a huge mess of business. Give MTN or MultiChoice to the Nigeria govt today and watch them go down. That's how bad the govt is.

Soludo an first class economists turn politician won't dare say that, cos he isn't sure when his next job will come. Shameful.
