I don't even know who to believe, but for that man to claim that the late COAS is broke and couldn't pay NEPA bill. I want to believe its a lie
It's clearly stated there that his accounts were frozen, his assets seized and pension stopped, how else do you expect him to raise money since he isn't into any other business?
When I heard last year that his pension was stopped I asked if it's right doing so when he hasn't been convicted.
Truth is Badeh was a suffering man even in death.

hello proxy...

Was IBB not rumoured to own Glo via Adenuga?
The allegation by the PDP didn't mention him by name but his family members (who may not necessarily bear the name Buhari), friends and cronies. I know the establishments aren't going to do that except compelled by a court which I know no court is interested in at the moment.
So that leaves us with issue still hanging and we may never know the truth.

As for Sani's other suggestion of submitting evidence to relevant anti corruption agencies, that's how it should be in a country where the agencies aren't partisan. Unfortunately, the EFCC has shown itself to be anything other than an arm of the ruling party. So even if a petition is submitted against a friend of the govt nothing will happen (Oshiomole and Ganduje are good examples).

Yes , you are right , I support you . He should "cut them off from the internet" and also cut them off politically , economically and geographically from Nigeria. Once they are cut off , they would stop giving us trouble. They will call their region Biafra or whatever. Right?
And you would have done done a whole lot of good you know. That's exactly what they want.
With that they can concentrate on building a great Biafra without Nigeria holding them back.

I support you on this.

Why did the author make it look like the whole #400b statutory transfer goes to the National Assembly? This is so wrong and it's a continuation of the campaign of calumny started by the Buhari govt on the National Assembly.

The National Judicial Council, the Independent National Electoral Commission, the Niger Delta Development Commission, the National Human Rights Commission, the Public Complaints Commission and many other govt agencies all receive from the statutory transfer but here it's made to look like only the National Assembly does.

And why do the National Assembly and National Judicial Commission budgets have to be statutory transfer?
Imagine what will happen if Buhari was in charge of the budget of the current National Assembly. That arm of govt will be grounded.

How could the President of the Federation be a visitor? And even if he was, that shouldn't rob him off his position as the President of the country
The Senate president is the presiding officer of the Senate and head of the NASS even at joint sittings. The president is only a visitor and can not take the place of the presiding officer. That's how democracy works.
I'm very sure you know this but as a buharists, you will rather cause trouble and mischief than accept what is.

Is it about enemies and retaliation?

Buhari is our number 1 ambassador. It is understandable if you bring pictures of the citizens abusing him. But for you to bring up the examples of members of a government demeaning the president is inappropriate, demeaning and desperate.

I don't expect anyone with commonsense to support these thieves.

Instead, we should ask them salient questions. They should tell us how many people-oriented bills they have sent to the president that the president refuse to assent to.

Any member of this government does not have the moral right to criticize Buhari.
Buhari is our no 1 ambassador but does he represent us very well? Which ambassador goes abroad to demarket his country? Which ambassador calls his people lazy, fantastically corrupt and such other names?

People oriented bills? I know the Peace Corps bills that would have ensured at least 10,000 Nigerians were taken off the streets to which Buhari withheld assent. Before you cite paucity of funds, let me tell you that the govt can conveniently and adequately fund the corps if it wants.

Before you condemn those that booed him ask yourself if those that cheered and hailed him were right to have done so.
Budget presentation was a national assignment, a serious business and not a party function but the APC legislators turned it into a campaign rally. What did you expect others to do especially when the Buhari was reeling out lies upon lies?

You nailed it. I've said this on many forum since then.

these pictures are of uninformed and probably illiterates on the streets. but senators should know better. their action is totally wrong. i don't even like Buhari but he shouldn't be disrespected like that he is the president.

i aslo think the APC senators are the cause of the problem. the outlandish cheering of the president was unnecessary and uncalled for. it is was supposed to be a serious national meeting and not a partisan political rally. the PDP senators felt compelled to register there presence and disapproval.....

they were all wrong
Uninformed and illiterates? I guess Chief Bisi Akande and Prof Wole Soyinka belong to that class as well.
Do you remember Bisi Akande calling Jonathan a kindergarten president?
Do you remember Wole Soyinka calling Jonathan's wife shepopotamus?

It's probably safe to safe that Buhari has got what he deserves. When we called for respect for the office of the president and the person of Jonathan then, you guys wrote long articles justifying the attacks and name callings.

Politics / Re: Electoral Bill: APC Reps Will Block Every Move To Override Buhari - Gbajabiamila by kutchs: 7:46pm On Dec 12, 2018
stephanie11:
@POLITICSNGR

The Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, says APC house members will thwart any plan to override President Muhammadu Buhari’s veto to sign the Electoral Act into law.

PoliticsNGR gathered that Gbajabiamila, an All Progressives Congress Chieftain from Lagos told newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday that the party had more than the required number to stop the process.

He explained that for the house to override the president’s veto, it required a minimum of two-third majority of its members.

It should be recalled that President Buhari for the fourth time, declined assent to the Electoral Act Amendment Bill on the grounds that it was too close to the 2019 general elections to change the rules of engagement.

Gbajabiamila said that the National Assembly needed to put in more touches to the bill for it to be signed into law.

He said the president declined to assent the bill to enable many Nigerians have the opportunity to vote in cases of card reader malfunction.

“We have seen instances where the card readers have failed, what Mr. President has done is to protect everybody in Nigeria, many could be disenfranchised and we do not want that.

“If they are able to muster two-third and push it forward, there is nothing we can do but as a party, we are not going to be part of it as it makes no sense to override in the case of an important document,” he said.

The leader explained that a fire brigade approach must not be adopted saying that the amendment was too close to the elections “and that is the reason for the ECOWAS protocol.”

The lawmaker said that it was too late in the game to begin to thinker with the rules and that the APC had the numbers to stop a veto.

https://politicsngr.com/electoral-bill-apc-reps-will-block-every-move-override-buhari-gbajabiamila/
Is it not a shame that NASS members who were part of the process that led to the amendment of the electoral bill will come out to thwart a move to make the bill pass into law simply because Buhari doesn't want it?

If you Gbajabiamila knew you didn't want the electoral bill amended, why didn't you say so from the beginning and save the NASS the stress?
So it's just about what Buhari wants and not what's in the best interest of the nation?

It's a shame.

Politics / Re: Buhari Will Fight To Have A Better Senate In 2019 – Tinubu by kutchs: 1:32pm On Dec 04, 2018
Oshigun:

No insult but some of you talk as if born yesterday. A president who is interested in the radical tansformation of his Country, perhaps through reforms never seen before, needs a supportive and equally bold legislature which the self-serving Saraki-led senate has been the opposite of.

The control of the senate is therefore vital and something the executive arm must plan to achieve as this is critical to overall success of a regime. That is what Remi Tinubu is saying that you mischief-makers feign ignorance of.

This is the case even in the USA so I don't know where you get your own half-baked idea that it is wrong for the executive arm to seek to gain control of the legislative arm, when this delivers the ability to influence policy directions, by majority fiat.
This makes no sense at all. The legislature is an independent arm/branch of govt and under no circumstance should it be under the control of the president.
The president doesn't need to control the National Assembly in order to achieve its objectives, what it needs is good and cordial working relationship and I don't see how Saraki or Dogara has stopped Buhari from implenenting those 'wonderful' policies you think he has.
We don't need an oyes NASS, we don't need a NASS that doesn't have a mind of its own. We don't need a legislature that's an appendage of the presidency. We don't want out National Assembly to be a rubber stamp to the president, otherwise we have a very powerful president even more powerful than the constitution that creates him.
We want a NASS that can look the president in the face and tell him you can't get this because you don't need and it's not in the best interest of Nigeria.

We must all thank Saraki and Dogara for checking Buhari's excesses. Buhari has been dictatorial right from birth and so we need a NASS that can put him in his place.

In the US you mentioned, Donald Trump and the Congress don't actually agree on every issue but it hasn't stopped them from working together for the progress of their country.

Check the picture very well and you see majority ain't interested in him and the bull shit he has to say.

What does he know to say outside what has been written down for him on paper? Isn't that why Trump called him lifeless? Nigeria is so unfortunate to have this guy as president.

Words of wisdom from my incoming vice president. Shows the amount of wisdom he will be bringing to the presidency come next year.

Donations to churches and individuals for whatever reason is best appreciated and rewarded when done privately and far away from the cameras.

On Mbaka, I lost every respect I've for him as a priest when he squared up against Chimaraoke Nnamani in 2002 declaring that he won't win reelection when obviously he didn't hear from God.
The earlier he stays away from these useless prophesies and concentrate on his calling as a priest, the better for him.
I won't curse him, but I'll pray for him like my vice president has adviced.

Atiku is a wise man, he knows anything he says on this issue may be misconstrued as instigating the labor against the govt. He isn't in power yet, wait till he gets there are see what he will say.
BTW, when Jonathan increased minimum wage in 2010/2011, did organized labour suffer this much negotiating? Did organized labour go on strike on the issue?
That the FG and labour are still haggling over a mere 30k for Nigerian workers more than a year after negotiations started shows how irresponsible Buhari's govt is.
