Islam for Muslims / Re: #EndSARS: Protests, Demonstrations And Civil Disobedience In The Light Of Islam by KyleXYZ: 10:33am On Oct 18, 2020
Lukgaf:
Islamic viewpoint:

Muslims must be guided by the Quran and Sunnah in all their activities from the mundane to the most serious. Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) taught his Ummah (nation) every affair that would bring them closer to success in this life and Paradise in the next, and he warned them from every affair that would harm them and bring them closer to Hell.

When a Muslim sees injustice, he has been guided by the revealed texts to act appropriately. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Help the oppressed and the oppressor.” When it was said to him that it is correct that the oppressed should be helped, but how does one help the oppressor?! He responded: “Stop him and prevent him from oppression, and that is helping him.”

He also said: “Whoever among you sees an evil, let him stop it with his hand. If he is not able, let him stop it by speaking. If he is not able, let him at least hate it with his heart for that is the weakest of faith (Imaan).”

However, there are some mighty principles that go along with these Prophetic narrations to avoid anarchy and disorder in societies. For example, if one’s mother and father are involved in drinking wine or smoking and gambling, it is not permitted to physically assault them or to harm them under the guise that one is forbidding evil!

Another example is that if a burglar breaks into one’s house, it is not permissible to pursue him and imprison him in a homemade prison or carry out the prescribed punishment upon him.

On the other hand, a father and mother may physically withhold their children from taking drugs, stealing or smoking, by rebuking them. Likewise, a ruler and his appointed courts may sentence criminals and punish them because they have an Islamic duty to do so. Many Muslims and non-Muslims misunderstand the Islamic texts and think that any person can do whatever they wish to correct wrongs in society by “any means necessary”. This is wrong and in contradiction to other explanatory texts.

The Messenger of Allah said: “If one of you sees something from the ruler that he hates, let him not publicise it.” This is a clear hadeeth forbidding openly protesting (even publicly speaking) against the ruler. Then he gave the Muslims a method of correcting the ruler: “Rather you should take the ruler by his hand and advise him. If he accepts the advice, then that is good. If he refuses, then you have fulfilled your duty.” In another narration, he said: “The martyr is the one who speaks a word of truth in the presence of the tyrannical ruler for which he is killed.”

These authentic narrations make it very clear that the ruler should only be advised in his presence and NOT in public. So, one may write to the ruler with gentle words advising him with correct conduct. The Messenger (peace be upon him) never ever protested in the streets of Makkah though he and his companions were oppressed and persecuted for 13 years in Makkah. They never once blocked the streets, participated in sit-ins, or plotted assassinations. However, the Prophet would constantly advise them and remind them of their duty to their Lord and the impending Day of Judgement wherein Allah would call them to account.

So to oppose this methodology is to oppose the Prophet (peace be upon him) as he himself said: “Whoever turns away from my Sunnah is not from me.” He also said: “You will have rulers over you who will not follow my Sunnah, nor my guidance. There will be amongst them men who will have the hearts of devils in the bodies of humans.” When asked how one is to behave towards such oppressive Muslim rulers, he responded: “Listen and obey the ruler, even if he takes your wealth and beats you in your back. Listen and obey.”

So patience is very important in times of hardship. There is tremendous wisdom behind this because of the great bloodshed and anarchy that results in standing up against those in authority. Furthermore, it is a reminder that the Muslims are only ruled by those they deserve and the leaders are merely a reflection of society. So Allah gives good people a good ruler and wicked people a wicked ruler as the great scholars such as Ibnul-Qayyim, Ibn Bāz and Al-Albāni have stated. So protests, demonstrations and rising up against the rulers and those in authority are not allowed in Islam.

Salaam alaykum brother.

I first read this post some days back. It was the regular narrative, so I couldn't be bothered doing a Quote.

Going over the submissions in my head and being one of the over 170 million Nigerians toiling day and night in the contraption we call a Nation, I feel obliged to do this.

1. Over the years, I have observed that your likes pick rulings from other climes with their peculiarities and dump them in situations (on us) without consideration for our own peculiarities.

2. The same texts (Qur'an and Hadith) are interpreted in varying ways to suit the intentions of the individuals quoting/interpreting the texts.

3. Your likes don't suggest real solutions to real problems which we can take guidance from. You are more concerned with the idealistic pronouncements which hardly ( if they ever do) solve our problems. Is this intellectual laziness or a disconnection with reality?

4. Your likes have indeed created more challenges for the Ummah than solutions. You have put us in more difficult situations than the country already created. Can you and your 'scholars' be solution providers, in addition to being 'spiritual'? The world and its people grow because people are consistently solving problems.

5. The Ummah (in Nigeria) today is faced with a myriad of problems. You and your likes will do us the eternal good of showing practical and practicable way forward, rather than this idealistic narratives that gave birth to BH and ISIS. Except if this is where you are leading us to.

Islam for Muslims / Re: COVID-19: Muslim Organizations, Scholars Move Ramadan Tafsir Online by KyleXYZ: 11:06pm On Apr 25, 2020
Acts of good deeds are encouraged in Ramadan; the rewards are multiplied much more than at other times.

Gathering for the purpose of learning about Islam is an act of good deed. The Qur'an is the chief book of learning for Islam/Muslims. So you're gathered to learn about your religion (a good deed) using the most important book of learning about your religion (Qur'an) in a month where rewards are in multiples (Ramadan).

Dalil: The prophet gathered Muslims at all times to teach them about Islam, Ramadan or no Ramadan. For specifics, countless ahadiths in the Saheeh books mention this.

PS: Allah says Muslims maintain a middle course (Ummatan Wasata, Q2 vs 143) they're not to the extremes in either way.

By the way, why post your 'picture' at all if you know a complete picture with your face is haraam. Brother, you wan do, at the same time you know wan do. Please maintain one side.

NeoWanZaeed:

[sub][/sub]
Suratul maidah.. Allah said Islam is complete.
And there is no single Dalil that tafsir is done during Ramadan.

Ibaadah that rosul did not do.. if you do it. You have rejected Qur'an and rosul and you have added to the deen

Go and learn for better understanding.. or which Sunna scholar did you see doing tafsir in Ramadan

Same US issuing out bans to everyone including our hardworking professionals now posted on their embassy website for Nigeria Doctors to apply

Chinese gave Nigerians 15 highly trained Doctors for free, cargo Plane load of face mask, 50 ventilators, drugs, and reliefs packages, US and Trump extracted their people from Nigeria, banned Nigerians legitimate immigrant , almost ruined Airpeace's Allen Onyeama and now they want our Doctors, pouching and toasting them

What was US response during Africa and Nigeria's Ebola crisis? they refused giving us an experimental drug.. When Boko haram killed hundreds daily what did US do? they refuse weapon sales to Jonathan because we rejected Gay and Lesbianism.

PayPal and Ebay refused registering Hard working Nigerians, Now Alibaba and AliExpress from China registers us and many youth can now trade and do mini importation without being termed Yahoo, infact if not for chinko phones many wont access internet yet they want to use propaganda to make us reject 5G network

Now they are calling our Doctors to their early deaths, since their racist ones wont work, luring us back to deadly slavery

Religion / Re: What Does The Bible Say About Masturbation? by KyleXYZ: 9:45am On Apr 12, 2020
Religion is practical.
When you're hungry, you eat.
When you're thirsty you drink.
When you're sleepy, you sleep.
When you turn it the other way round, it simply doesn't work.
It's natural to have a longing for the opposite sex.
The problem is we don't have a solution to it.
A boy/girls starts seeing changes in himself/herself from as early as 12-14.
The urge for sex comes in.
There's no solution to it.
Why is it impossible for the girl/boy to marry and have sex as frequently as possible even without pregnancy setting in?
Sounds crazy, right?
That's why we're where we are.

Now compounding the problem.

Nudity and explicit sexual content is everywhere. Too readily available.

If you're caught in the masturbation web, though it's wrong, but the solution is NEVER applied.

So try to be strong for yourself while you struggle with it. Pray, pray. Pray. Avoid sexual content as much as possible.

Keep your eyes away from those nude girls littering everywhere. BE DISCIPLINED.

Above all, marry as soon as you can, a wife who can give it to you very well.

The world can only quote for you, they don't have the solution for you.

So just look inwards and 'fight' it the right way - discipline and marriage.

Tumbulum:
What is wrong with nairalanders for eves sake. Every now and then masturbation topic hits front page.

For your information, over 90 percent of men at some point in their life have engaged in this act. Infact most beautiful ladies that you see and admire are all chronic masturbators.

For fuc.ks sake just live your life and try to make something out of it. Dont let mastrubation control you and if by any case you fell into it,wash your hands with soup and apply hand sanitizers to avoid smearing your sperm in someone's beautiful hands.I heard covid19 do live in the sperm too.

Last question I want to ask, what is the solution to the sex needs of those ladies who were not able to attract a man to marry them?

Islam for Muslims / Re: Tips On How To Make A Passive Muslim Become Active In Solat? by KyleXYZ: 12:46am On Apr 04, 2020
Finding regular Sallah difficult - can really be challenging if you don't understand the reason(s) for it.
1. You are created because of worship (Q51 vs 56);
2. Your life is a test, and you'll account for it (Q11 vs 7, Q67 vs 2);
3. Allah in His Mercies gives us Sallah as a means of making our task of accounting to Him easier. A kind of 'help' to lessen our burden of accountability. Do you know that your sins are forgiven when you perform ablution well and observe Sallah? (Sahih Muslim, Book 2 Hadith 0436)
4. Won't we want to have our burden made light for us? This is indeed what Sallah does for us.
5. I hope he believes in Accountability at all? If he does he'll hasten to things (i.e Sallah, Sadaqoh, Naflah, etc.) that'll help him.
6. If there isn't a deeper problem, he'll improve with the above, In Sha Allah.

PS: For Muslim 'well-wishers' who really need to use the savage remarks to convince themselves of their own beliefs, please always pray for guidance for them; Allah may have Mercy on them.

There's no sentiment that can take away the burden of responsibility from the Buhari led FG.
They are nothing but a failure in this regard.
As I speak, I can safely conclude that nothing is been done about these incessant killings save for their endless security meetings with no results.

We should buckle up and come to our own defence. This country just as it has no plans for anybody, has no plans certainly for our safety. And it's their turn today. Who knows where it will be tomorrow?

Fulani herdsmen, ISWAP, Boka Haram, whoever, whatever group is responsible for this, no responsible and responsive government will allow it's people get slaughtered in their tens and hundreds as this.
This government is conniving with this murderers through it's inaction and lack of urgency in addressing these challenges taking the lives of it's people.
This government must and should be held accountable for this.
In sane country with some civilisation, key members of this government would have resigned.
Not in Nigeria, where we celebrate failures and are utterly hypocritical.

Any security outfit people can establish to defend themselves is a hugely welcomed idea. Better die defending yourself and family than being killed like chickens.
