Yes they exist in private universities, but the cultists there are lowkey. Their activities are virtually non-existent, as the schools do not give them breathing space.

Any whiff of cultism, slangs, mode of dressing will get you expelled. I know two guys who were expelled from a private university in the East for removing the paper labels on their bottles while drinking in a restaurant. They were expelled right on the spot and then escorted to their hostels to pack up their bags.

Private universities are very intolerant of their activities and are constantly on the look out for them.
