Well, david mark has given his opinion on the matter anϑ i wld say he has chosen τ̅o take the easy way, instead of the real hard truth abt boko-haram.

if he thinks bokoharam is purely a religious issue then, i think our senate president is not being true τ̅o himself anϑ Nigerians as a whole.

what fuels violence the fastest in any society is first of all "Poverty anϑ Unemployment". Without this, i doubt even if there were radical preachers anϑ financial sponsors for committing suicide bombings, it wldnt be †ђªt easy to find the people τ̅o carry these bombs anϑ commit suicide bombimgs.

if tђere wasn't an alarming rate of poverty anϑ unemployment in Nigeria; the north in this case, i dnt think religious fanatists wld be our problem.

The Senate president is from Benue state which falls under the Northern region (former middle-belt) anϑ part anϑ parcel of the Northern Political Elites.

What i can deduce from his statement is †ђªt if he goes with the reality †ђªt the level of poverty anϑ worrying levels of unemployment in the region is as a failure of good leadership from the same people such as himself who ave been at the top echelon of power, during the IBB regime where he was a governor to a minister of communication anϑ now presently the Senate President.

He has used this stance τ̅o shy away from the fact that if he goes with the fUll "reality" of the situation, it wld be a confession of incompetence anϑ bad leadership on his part as a top northern leader anϑ elite for well over 20 years.

Though, i agree †ђªt the religious leaders need τ̅o be checkmatd on the kind of teachings anϑ radical views †ђªt can give rise τ̅o fanatism in both Islam anϑ Christianity, but the most important anϑ urgent problem is the problem of "Poverty anϑ Education".

i just don't see Ђδω an educated man †ђªt has something doing striving τ̅o develop himself anϑ upgrade hos social standing anϑ †ђªt of his family as we all aspire τ̅o, will fall victim τ̅o radical teachings and go with a bomb τ̅o waste his life anϑ others after enduring the hassles of educating anϑ empowering himself for years, be him a muslim or a xtian.

Even if the Bayelsa, Jigawa anϑ Rivers state governments felt they had τ̅o evacuate their students from the institution, they should αve first of all contacted the state government of kaduna as it is the governor †ђªt is saddled with the security of all inhabitants within the state. After †ђªt if the governor deems it necessary, the V.C will now be notified anϑ then the evacuation takes place formally.

But, now †ђªt students are whisked away without the knowledge of the governor as chief security officer anϑ the VC of the institution, if something were τ̅o happen in transit or accident for example (God forbid sha) what would be the wisdom behind this move?

Well, thank God the curfew has been relaxed anϑ normalcy is resuming gradually, very soon academic activities will resume.

Mandelaguy: I missed some of the speech initially but with this I hve a better info. I love his response to the Brasilian trip. If he had cancelled it really, it would hve boosted the activities of those vampires. They will feel very funky with a sense of accomplishment. mamiel: Can someone explain to me while this Boko Haram whose name is interpreted "Western Education is Evil" not yet bombed any University in the North which are the actual centres of western education( This whole thing is as clear as crystal. Since the northern politicians lost the presidency to GEJ the southerner, they now remembered the long aged clamour from their ardent moslem brothers who have been begging them for moral and financial support in their bid to "Islamize" Nigeria. GEJ a christian sitting on their head as president is very symbolic to them; it means a DISBELIEVER (who is suppose to be their slave) is now their king, and they can't accept this fact. A christian proverb says "can 2 walk together except they agree". Even the queen of England with whose seal the Nigerian project was stamped knows too well that the North and South of the Niger area of West Africa jokingly called Nigeria can never truly unite together as one. so there is no need for this self deceit to continue -that a moslem from Borno State should see a christian from Delta or Anambra State as his brother;they can at best be neighbors. this is because it is popular opinion the world over that next to blood relationship (as a standard to measuring brotherhood)comes religion. In fact a true christian and a true moslem born of the same mother are very convinced that they are not brothers, their blood tie not withstanding. please let us just break this country peacefully because their is no way this their islamic thing can reach the south.
