ade2rasq: Hello my fellow nairalanders, has anyone that is current recenly collected 2nl because mine suppose to have landed cos I hv been current since august and I sent my form mid june. I want may be is the recent US shut down that is affecting or something else.

you are current since August ke,as you say you are current since August that means its DV 2013 and for your info,DV 2013 is closed since September 30.re-check your CN for us to assist you on when you are current.

8000 is current for December and not November,as for your 2NL,you should receive it anytime from now.

The amount on emirates webiste for the three is $1,731.2 = 279,709.98naira but as for the luggage,i dont know,you can get that fact from an agent.

It is item 45 on ds 230 part II page 4of4 that you wont sign be you the principal applicant or family member benefitting from the lottery but as the principal applicant you have to sign dsp 122 page 2of2.

Do you mean DS230 Part II,i think you should call KCC to inform them about it,if they will ask you to re-fill another form and send or you should just ignore it.i think this help.

Good morning forumites,hope those current for October have perfected their documents,has anyone received his/her 2NL aside @earnestleon that does not base in Nigeria. I want to suggest that if all successful selectees can have a 3 day fasting and prayer for us to have a successful interview like it was done in DV 2013 forum, I think this will help considering the success of DV 2013 selectees.

candytos: Hello house, wanted to check my visa status, put in my case number but got the response invalid case number.what do I need to change or do to have a valid case number for visa status check? Someone has talked about it once on one of the pages but cannot locate that page again. Thanks

If i could remember, he said that you dont need to put the zeros that you have on the case number in the visa status check. hope this help sha

candytos: My testimony continue: with God n advise from members n reading past postings on this thread we prepared n were able to also cut cost for our dv interview.
This morning wife n I prayed n made positive confessions from a wonderful book by Rev Adetutu Coker " I am destined to win, we prepared and packed our docs for the interview. We also took the holy communion as a family n left home at 5.30am n got to embassy with our kids at 6.30am. Therewas alreadya long queue, we joined n went thro all security. We paid and presented our docs to a Nige Nigerian lady we were told to sit n wait for our number to be called. The hall was jammed with ppl both immigrants n non immigrants, with some standing, not enof seats. I started praying in tongues n thanking God for our visas but my kids were tired of the whole thing n wanted to go home. At 9.15am over 1.5hrs of waiting we were called to window 17 with a young ruddy white American. We exchanged pleasantries n he showed us our forms n told us to sign, which we did.
CO: swear to say the truth
Me n wife: swore
CO: highest qualification
Me: told him
Co: line of work in relation to degree
Me: told him
Co: asked for family pix
Me: showed him
Co: saw honeymoon pix asked location
Me: Ghana
CO: like to visit Ghana
Me: nice place
CO: asked abt some pix on earlier visits to US
Wife: Responded n we all laffed
Then CO typed for about 5mins n returned all original docs keeping us in suspense, finally said congratulations n welcome to America n gave two pcs of paper for PP collection n UCIS payment. This is God's doing from beginning to d end may His holy name be praised forever in all our lives IJN amen.
I pray outstanding success n divine favor for all members of this forum awaiting their interview success is theirs IJMN amen. Baba God noni.

VISA FEE REMAINS $330 EACH

The questions will be based on what you filled in the forms you sent to Kentucky, your academic qualifications, your relationship with your wife and kid. Please make sure that all details are consistent starting from the online lottery application, DS 230 and all your documents. Any inconsistency will throw up suspicion for fraud.

Really sympathise with you and with this you CN,you should be current in October,hope you have sent your completed forms to KCC,I will advice you to keep praying to God to bring a helper to you which I believe that He will do,I pray to God that this golden opportunity will not skip you by.

kevwe_flex: Embassy will not tell you when to go for your medicals. The thing is that, medicals has a life span of 6 months. So if you know you will be traveling soon as your visa is approved, you can go ahead and do it. But folks prefer to do it few weeks (like 2 weeks) to their interview so they can have at least 5 months plus of it before they travel. Something might hold you up before you travel, you never may know. So my candid advice is to wait till it's like 2 weeks to your interview before you do that. I think it takes about 3 business days to come out.

Then for NPC office in Lagos, I think the Lagos folks can help you with that. But I heard it's in Babs Animashaun in Surulere.

kevwe_flex: Once the embassy notify KCC the number of visas available for a particular month, I guess KCC now sends d form to embassy. When the cut-off numbers are released and your case number falls in that range it means you are current for that month and most likely going to have your interview. So for applicants with case number =<5000, u ve from now till October to get ur documents ready if they aren't. So if you were smart, you'd have started preparing your documents ever since you submitted your forms to KCC which I believe is an ample time.
I don't think DVs are done in Abuja, I've not heard anybody going there for such case. I stand to be corrected.

Thanks for all round attention,first i need to know the meaning of 2NL,i think the embassy will notify the selectees on the hospital that you will have your medical and also necessary documents that will accompany the selectees for the interview and where is NPC's office in Lagos that i can authenticate our birth cert.

Thanks for the info, but is it tha KCCDV has sent the forms to the CO here in Lagos or Abuja because October is just like 1 and half months away,like how many months will the selectee be given to prepare their documents for the interview.

9, marital statue: including my present marriage, i have been married ________ times. i did not fill the space though i filled married at the top
34,previous military service i fill NO and left other question under the heading blank
43a have you ever applied for a social security number? NO and i left give the number --------blank
i and my wife signed the signature space but left our childred form unsign.
can all this amount to mistake? what should i do to save the situation?

yemmylag: Thanks,she won the DV lottery,the only problem is that the guy that plays for her inssisted they will arrange someone else as her hubby instead of her husband.she's married with a kid now.she has the print out with her.

Since,she has the print out herself,her case is solved then,let her just go to www.dvselectees.state.gov,she will get the form there and fill it correctly then scan or send to U.S.,she doesn't need to fake anything.
