RomanceRe: I Was Offered This Job - But I Want To Turn It Down (photos) by Laird(m):
Airforce1:
I just want to follow that profession which makes me happy
and that is Music.
Airforce1......Let Me talk to You. I did Music and Iproduced a 12 track album while in my 400 Level in Medical School. I had dreams and ambitions even planned to possibly Drop Out if My Music picks up...even now I look back.and laugh

I suffered so much....funneling my pocket money and even borrowed but paid back working with 2 producers, beat making, remaking beat to taste, voice recording and revoice recording to taste, audio mixing, audio mastering and audio remastering to taste. All this took Me months and made Me financially unstable for almost a Year. I even fell sick later on and almost died.
Songs were ready, some people liked some songs, I gave My Demo CD to Popular Celebrities, Some Musi cMarketers, Some high networth people and people around. Some people made Promises then but no record deal in sight.
Music is capital intensive WITH NO GUARANTEE OF GETTING YOUR MONEY BACK . Money for Beats, voice recording. Voice mixing, song mastering, 4 to 5 music videos because the first video might not bring in financial success, Money to pay radio Dj's for radio play even America self Music Companies dey bribe radio DJ's or pay the Radio Stations or buy Radio Stations to get their Artiste songs played, Money for blog and press interviews and mentions, money for Music video play, money to eat and look like an Artiste.

In my opinion it takes 15 million naira to make and promote an Artiste in Nigeria. I even saw the CEO of Hip Hop World and HipTv Ayo Animashaun some weeks back when he brought his Children for treatment at my former workplace and i PERSONALLY treated them and I asked him if 15 million naira is enough for an artiste to budget for 1 album production package and he said Yes.
In the USA, it takes 1-3 million dollars to bring out an artiste music album project with heavy promotion and publicity and that's why Many Artistes in America also depend on record Labels to finance their Music.

WizKid was singing and was on radio and TV and was still in School and only dropped out when Music started PAYING him MULTIPLES Of what he could earn in Salary from Education
SKales however musically wasn't Financially there yet (That's why EME and Banky W did not renew his Contract or release an album for him even though He had some good songs but He wasn't bringing in Satisfactory Money) so Skales sensibly finished School and graduated to secure himself despite being on TV and Radio while in School

I work in my profession pending when I have the funds to sponsor my music passion or get a Record label who can partner with Me on my terms.
Nelly was still hustling( doing/illegal work until his Music Career financially picked up), Dr Sid can still go back to Dentistry or travel Out abroad as a Medical Skilled Professional after passing foreign exams to work as a Dentist if Music is no more bringing in financial income for him.
Super Producer and Singer Pharell in an interview adviced Music Artistes to have a backup Plan( Career, skill, business) in case Music does not work out.
Reginia Askia once rules the TV Airwaves in Nigeria but now works as a Nurse In America.
Even in America, Musicians and Artistes get dropped / sacked or abandoned from Record labels when their Music albums or Singles do not deliver Expected sales targets or expected financial returns to the Record Label Company. Yes OOO, record label companies in America set sales targets for musicians and artistes signed to them(The record labels) the same way Nigerian Banks set Bank Customer Deposit Targets for the bank's Staff.

In Conclusion;
Have Your day job and profession and work at Your day job until Your passion begins to PAY YOU FINANCIALLY in MULTIPLES of Your Day Job then invest the MUSIC MONEY while You are still cashing in Musically

Also Nigeria is in economic turmoil.now so it would be difficult for Companies Brands and Show Promoters to bet or invest their Money on a New Artiste, they would rather go for established artiste's who even though are more
Expensive would be believed to give their brand, company. Product and event the Exposure, awareness , acceptance and possible Financial returns they desire.

So rush back and collect Your day job, work on Your music and education part time,
If Music begins to make millions and billions, resign and face Music and invest the Millions and Billions
Till Music is paying well, Keep working at Your day job and saving.....SUCCESS IS NOT always EASY
RomanceRe: Say No To Broke Men, Ladies Be Smart! by Laird(m):
As a woman, you need to use your YOUTH and BEAUTY to attract the best man who is financially stable as possible. This is not gold digging this is being SMART. Think about your children, think about
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Op Your above statement got Me cracking...

So as a Woman After You use your youth and beauty to possibly attract the most financially stable man, what of when the Woman's youth and beauty passes with time, what would the Woman now use to still keep the financially stable man who can STILL use his FINANCIAL Stability to rent or acquire another so called Young and beautiful woman/girl

Why did You not talk about a woman using her intellect or intelligence. Which right thinking intelligent and Financially Stable man would want a wife who is NOT intelligent and has only Youth and Beauty which DEPRECIATES, a woman who has little mental capacity to assist the Children in doing homework and assignments when the Man works late or is out of town on business or job trips, a woman who cannot manage his business Empire if the Man is not around or is no more.
Mark Zuckeberg's ( The Young Facebook Billionaire's) wife is a Medical Doctor from a top ivy League top ranked American University which is Stanford University and is the First person in her family to go to University. To enter Medical School in America is not an easy task.no matter how brilliant You are. Doctors are the Highest paid Professionals in America.

The rich young and old billionaire's that marry Bimbo's or Airhead's that is Beautiful Girls without Brains regret it later except those that were previously married or have inferiority or self esteem or facial image issues because the Women are just Eye Candy not a life partner or feel they need Someone who is not smart enough to outsmart the billionaire financially.(TRUMP) I cant imagine marrying someone with Shallow communication skills, can't contribute intelligently to creative progressive discussions, can't discuss intelligently, see the Guy as their Personal Financial and Life Insurance Policy, Can't take Business Davy decisions, can't make financially intelligent decisions which are based on intelligent data and information research and analysis....not opening a supermarket or boutique because my mates are doing it,

Guys and Ladies...... Don't marry an intellectually shallow partner whether a Man or a woman

No hustle or menial job in China because China has over a billion people in China; The african and nigerian men married to Chinese women have shops where they sell stuff and the chinese land lords can't officially and legally rent the Shops to the african or Nigerian husbands or demand heavy bribes so the Chinese wife rents the shop in her name and when police raids the Africans ; the men hide while the Chinese wives take control of the Shops and handle the shops until the coast is clear

Technology MarketRe: World Fastest Transportation To Be - Hyperloop To Undergo The First Test-run by Laird(m): 11:07pm On Apr 08, 2017
sonyike:
Do you remember Hyperloop, the high-speed tunnel train that will be the fastest means of transportation. Hyperloop will undergo test run.

The first tests of Elon Musk's revolutionary high-speed transport system could begin soon after Hyperloop One, one of 12 companies competing to make the idea a reality, completed its test track.
The company has finished work on its 500 metre long testing tunnel, which is situated in the Nevada desert, near Las Vegas, and has a diametre of 3.3 metres. It is expected to run initial trials on the near-supersonic speed train in the first half of this year.

Hyperloop One announced the news alongside 11 proposed routes for the super-fast transport, all of which are in the US. The longest proposed route is 1,152 miles from Cheyenne to Houston and the shortest 64 miles from Boston to Providence.

It would take an average car 17 hours to travel the longest route, which would be cut down to just an hour and 45 minutes on the Hyperloop.

The radical mode of transport, which could also travel from London to Manchester in 18 minutes, is being designed to hit speeds of up to 800mph. Designs for the Hyperloop look a bit like a train, but rather than running on wheels, its pods levitate and travel in a vaccuum. The frictionless environment allows them to move with little air resistance.

The development follows last month's news that Hyperloop Transportation Technologies, another competing company, has started building the first passenger capsule. The pods will be able to carry 28 to 40 passengers at a time and depart every 40 seconds, the company said. They could be ready as early as next year.

The Hyperloop is the brainchild of US billionaire and Tesla chief executive Musk, who proposed a competition to develop the technology out of frustration with the alternatives.

Projects are being considered in the United Arab Emirates, India and central Europe.
