If not, the intense heat will drive all of them into a frenzy such that they won't give each other space to figure out how to open the door. A similar fire incident on the Otedola bridge in Lagos reflects this scenario where all passengers in a commercial bus were consumed because they were all struggling to exit the bus at the same time. 16 Likes |

Man is smart and he wants to cash out. He practically has the first mover advantage and if he can max out his profits and returns before competition creeps in, he can literally monopolize this lucrative industry. Totally removing subsidy now will enable him sell each liter of petroleum products at prices never seen or imagined all while souring crude in naira....and yes, he can still export same petroleum products and earn in dollars. |

Habbeyy:Yes, I experienced this in camp in Bayelsa. The water smells and emits so much oil it stains the bucket. The food also strongly smelled like soap due to the water being used. Crude oil is unlikely in this instance, it's likely due to the sediments of the borehole contaminated with some ferrous compounds. They may have to treat the water in the tank before use. 1 Like |

Maeve7:Just to add, I don't think there's a law but if it is proven that the woman is not in a stable state (finance and living space), the odds are not in her favour. She also can't rely on child support which will evidently stop after one or two months and won't be sufficient in itself. I don't think the husband would even want to take the daughter in. @msjackson, I had to run through your old threads and it's good you document things to refresh your tree of knowledge. Having known close people in similar circumstances, I would advice you move on. There are some battles you leave to fate. Your priority should be protecting yuor daughter now because the girl child in this kind of circumstance is vulnerable to life's vices. If you can, send her to a boarding house or your parents' place so you can focus on getting your life together. You need a job now even if it means squatting with friends until you get something going. If there's no job, start a training in nursing, catering or whatever, in 3 years max, you would be well equipped to make money on your own. You can then get your daughter back and give her a good life or perhaps get remarried...and please don't waste time with men who would only want to chop you and run (except its just the sex you need of course) Last paragraph, don't waste your time and efforts on a protracted battle with your husband. If yoou're so inclined, report him to community courts like Ordinary President or something. Otherwise, close that chapter and move on like I profferred earlier. All is well. 3 Likes |

Ozap:It largely depends on the career path you want to follow. Having gone through 4 years of tertiary education, you should have a slight idea at least of what trajectory you would like to follow. Failure to do this will slow your career progress tremendously as you won't be building required experience to make you more valuable and earn higher as you develop in the following years. If you're all about the money though and looking for what study can fetch you more money, the only one I can recommend is HR or something related to corporate Communications. If course, you will need additional certification and experience in these fields to earn a good living. |

Happy Sunday my fellow nairalanders. I wish to seek diverse input in remodeling this house below and will appreciate ideas. Originally a 3 bedroom, the Master bedroom (ensuite) at the lower left was sealed from the living room area and let out. The rest of the house has been empty for a while. I plan to refurbish house and rent it all out but I am searching for the best way to optimize the design. My thinking is to seal off the private sitting and join it to the let out room to form a room and parlour and then rent out the other side as a 2 bedroom apartment. Additional ideas will be appreciated. Nagode. The house is in Ibadan.
