Malawian:Wrong. It is just like trying to quit pornography at once by blocking access to all pornographic material. You will stay clean and suffer your konji but the day, you come across easy access to pornography once again, you will relapse into a worse state. The only difference is that it's worse, far worse with drugs. You're not dealing with konji but severe deprivation worse than hunger and thirst. It's not a good place to be at all. Rehabilitation is mind training to a level that if you see the drug again, you won't take it because you know it's bad for you. You don't do that by locking up a junkie in solitary. |
Malawian:This is a wicked method for rehab. Do you know how bad withdrawal symptoms are especially when you go cold turkey? Rehab centers are much better where the victims can be supervised and cared for. |
The way these people shout terrorism these days |
Destructuve extraction. You're not only stealing the honey those worker bees hustled so hard for, you are destroying their combs as well and unaliving their unborn generations. Just because honey is sweet |
With this kind of money. What do you want that you can't buy? |
They have every reason to request a court wedding. You want to make her a baby mama or what? Stories where a woman gets pregnant and moves into a man's house with no official marriage but just inlaws meeting inlaws never favours the woman. What will she do when you say you don't like her again or you complain over every little thing just because you want to marry another woman. You throw her under the bus with no loss on your part. If that lady is wise, court wedding is a must or she should not even move in with you, the Op at all. |
For what reason? How many people are in Abuja that warrants this expensive transport system? When people are complaining of not finding jobs even in the capital and costs of rent and living is so high, continue to build white elephant projects to siphon more funds. |
Beautiful classic. Rides like aboat though |
Talking of maintenance, just look at the slick tires of that tricycle. 100m braking distance enough for it to go under trailer and come out at the other side. We really have a long way to go in this country. |
What the hell? |
Friday morning will be really gangster for you. It'd get worse by 12 noon same day. I hope you don't faint in the mosque ![]() |
For her to go into coma, she must have held her neck tight for nothing less than 4 minutes. |
Phranx1:It's insane. A friend sold his Camry sport 2.5m barely 3 years ago. |

Siberia01:Are you joking or something? Have you not read that this is a new strain spreading rapidly from DR Congo where it has recorded a significant number of mortalities especially in infants. It is also more contagious than the last epidemic of 2021/2022 as this can spread by contact. The authorities are not moving fast enough on this in my opinion because cases are already being reported in Europe as well. |
laivwire:An update: I went for the interview today carrying along the sponsor's documents. The VO didn't look at them as it didn't make much difference. At least it showed proof that the application is in process. She asked when the application was submitted and said it's no suprise if it's taking longer than expected. She said she'd hold on to my file and I scan the soft copy of the declaration of commitment once it's ready. She'd then forward the file for processing. She added I'd have to come with the original copy when coming for the visa along with German health insurance (I didn't include that in the application as well). |
We like to fool ourselves a lot. If we are to lay out all salary levels in Nigeria today, up to 80% would still be earning less than #150k yet some people are saying #400k is average salary. Where you wan see am? This same naija where people with over 10 years experience are earning #250 - #300k with overwork. Banks and the big 4 can only hire so many. If you earn above #150k, consider yourself earning well. The rest are just lucky to be in the right field and right company at the right time. |
The 504 wagon was used by banks then along with the Isuzu tiger. Usually dark blue with tinted windows and high suspensions. There was this Rrrrr sound peculiar to the 504 engine. Sadly it's door handles always broke easily. The 505 evolution too was sick back them. The peculiarity about the V-boot was the checkered seat, the single wiper blade, loud radiator fan and that bounce when you're on the highway. |
The real wheel doesn't look like everthing is working perfectly like you say. That's an expensive fix right there |
There's an elantra picture thrown in there. |
Hannania:Thank you 😊 |
derah213:Thanks. How do I check. Is there a website? |
He's lucky. Countless drivers have died while trying to negotiate an escape from kidnappers. |
I watched the video of his capture and hoped he wasn't african because he was covered head to toe. 2 years is a slap on the wrist for this level of thievery. It would only encourage others to use his tactics. |
Kirssey:Thanks for the feedback. It's Cat B but I'm applying from Europe. The wait time is about 4 months. I wouldn't want to push him but I'd talk to him about it. Since the best I can get is a rescheduled AD, I'd just wait it out and reapply. I realized many others are caught up in the same situation as well. There's longer delays to get appointments at the foreign office. I guess the application traffic is pretty high. |
Hannania:I'd appreciate if I can get your feedback. My appointment is next monday and I intended to use a sponsorship letter. My host has applied but is yet to get an appointment at the foreign office so I don't have it. He's suggesting I go along with a retinue of documents showing his income, mails and all other documents he's exchanged with the foreign office and explain to the VO I'm not totally convinced about this because the consulate is not the foreign office and besides, there are many others in the same situation. I also don't want a rejection as this can affect my future applications. Should I risk it or just pass and apply for another interview date? |
Wow, this was my church when I stayed in Kontagora. Let me check our WhatsApp group right away. |
stagger:What a tragedy. Looks like you've done more farming after that. Has it been profitable so far? I realise we have common interests in cassava and maize and thats my reason for asking. I've been on a career break from farming for the last 2 years and looking to restart. Is it advisable considering the state of the nation now? I know food is expensive (which is good for business) but the persistent food inflation and unpredicable government policies are becoming too complex to analyze the possible outcomes in 2025. I am also looking at production for commercial supply using forward contracts. Have you tried something along that line? I'd like to hear your thoughts, thanks. |
betabread:We are largely deficient on data collection and analysis especially for agriculture and we need these things to properly optimize our operations especially on climatic conditions, cost to serve and commodity prices. |
They had better open those border gates in good time |
Tayorshd87:Its pathetic because if public transport systems are good, efficient and timely, there would be fewer cars on the road with much better quality and less accidents. Its the same corruption within the traffic mgt systems that lives within the government and the citizens. Is #500 egunje worth the wanton loss of lives? No, but we are yet to see things that way. Thats why we all talk about the complete mental reset we need in this country and Africa as a whole. A reset that would only come with visionary leadership that we desperately lack. The system is rotten, top to bottom and that reset seems improbable. Thats is why those who are able, dump the country and continent as a whole, never to return. |
For over 36 years that the FRSC has been established along with other traffic management organizations, they are still yet to develop an effective vehicle monitoring system that ensures only functional cars move on our highways especially these long vehicles. For how long will easily fixable problems like brake failure and overspeeding be cutting short the lives of innocent road users? Rip to the dead. It's not brake failure that killed you, it's the corruption of traffic wardens and officers. |
