You people should stop understating the importance of the language. Jobs that are okay with just english are few and far in between and are fiercely jostled for by the hordes of applicants who can't speak german. Chances of landing those jobs are ultra slim.

Learning the language is paramount. The best time to start is before you travel, the next best time is as soon as you land....and just so you know, employers are looking for professional german language levels not Ich heiße.

Thanks for pointing it out but I do know what I am saying.
Even EU citizens many times take over a year to land a solid job not to talk of A1 level german africans who need to dedicate time to learning the language to a professional level. You are only going there to do unskilled jobs if poorly prepared.

The 20 hour limitation also remains something to worry about in comparison to job seeker visas of some other European countries where you are allowed to work full time for the same 1 year.

Reading your previous thread in April 2023 leaves no hope to be desired. I don't know what you're still looking for in this marriage if not death from loneliness and hypertension.

For your wife to suggest counseling means she knows there's a problem..but for her to know and not suggest any amends means a bigger problem.

I don't support divorce especially for kids' sake but please stop looking for happiness where it doesn't exist.

When it comes to innate intentions like these, there's nothing you can do to change her mindset. Not counseling, not trips, not money.

Look for what makes you happy elsewhere but please be careful.

So you do not need a big land. You can comfortably grow yams, onions, pepper, tomatoes, etc at the back of your home. You can sustain your home with some and if there are extras, you can sell and make some money. Less people to farms. Less encounter with herdsmen. No security fear. More food at home. More money saved.

Some people grow out fish in their homes. Some snails and for some it is chicken. They save a lot and have more to eat.

Good concept. Hopefully it can be extended nationwide by all.

The EU are the biggest losers, they lost their cheap energy source, lost so many industries to the US, lost money funding Ukraine.

While the US on the other hand is losing money funding Ukraine, at a time when many countries are cutting down their dollar reserves. And also lost its status as world's superpower.

Russian cheap energy powered the European economy, especially Germany for decades making them highly competitive. Now they're left to buy gas from Norway, US, India at 3× the previous price.

Chinese industrial power was second to none before the war now imagine what it'll achieve with all this cheap Russian gas.

While your writeup makes alot of sense, I would disagree with some points. The USA is STILL the world's super power. No country comes close, not even Russia. I agree the EU lost the cheap gas deal but of course that's for the short run, new strategies are being put in place to their benefit and even Africa can take a piece of the pie in the instance of natural gas supply (Good for us). Russia has lost that hold over them.

Yes, the US is pumping funds to Ukraine but they are not silly, Russia is also incurring losses; to the war and in their trade. Even if China produces 90% of global goods, they need buyers. The US and Europe still remain some of the strongest global markets. I don't see Africa and India with an equal purchasing power.

I am only familiar with the Peugeot 504 and 505 evolution era where Ibadan to Lagos was done in 1 hour. I also remember how the V-boot bounce was popular back then. Volvos were known for the unique loud engine noise and the Datsun was a popular Ibadan taxi (Brown and yellow).

Of course, the luxurious buses were always on top speed and flash you to shift lanes when coming.

To add after reading some comments:
People tend to estimate the travel time not from their houses but from when they see "Goodbye to Lagos" or "Welcome to Ibadan" sign post.

I agree with your submissions except for the payment part. I don't think Reddit pays their contributors and this is because it's a forum for honest objective content.

Today on nairaland, it's all about content for traffic because of the uprising of social media handles like instablog and the rest.

The frontpage is still an important page as that was keeps people on the site and money flowing but more work needs to be done on building the relevance of objective topics, ones not created to advertise or drive people to blogs.

An idea is a page for topics driven by people's likes (or votes) as opposed to "views" which can be manipulated using clickbait by users like scient.ist and iLe.gend. This puts the power in the hands of the users and not the mods or bots.

Users should also be able to down vote crappy threads or comments as well.

He gives me no support in the small provision business I do but for like 3yrs now I notice that he has change. The only time that he gave me money to add to my business was when I first started it. Some times as a mother and wife, I take things from the store that we use at home. So whenever this shop runs down, he never gives me money, I am always taking loans to fund, then when I finish repayment, I take again. Never buys my clothes or give me money for my hair. When I ask he says he opened shop for me. I have been taking loans to fund the shop because I don't have a helper but my husband looks the other way. We live in a student environment, a student came to buy pure water and stole my phone, my husband didn't bother or think of buying a new one. He's a plumber, whenever he comes back from work and it's like there's a bill, he tells me he doesn't have money. He hides his phone from me so that I don't see alerts. I wear clothes, ppl see me then praise him assuming that he's responsible for them but this man has not given me money for clothes in years. Not even for pants or pads.

I have reported him to ppl but he comes back even worse. He gives me money for food on Saturdays. So I cook a pot of soup and stew which the money will carry...imagine my kids taking rice and stew to school Monday to Friday because they have to eat eba as dinner. This is where I sometimes secretly take them to the shop to change meals. I complained and he said that they have to eat what he has as they are even lucky to see food.

I asked him if he was ready for marriage and he said YES. He married me well. Did everything. But I hate that I married him.

Please, I don't know what to do. I am overthinking because I am already in a 190k debt I don't know how to pay or when. His brother abroad reads my messages then ignore. My brother is old I can't ask him for anything. I feel I married a wicked man. Now we hardly even talk without quarreling.

I just want to know

I think it's really unhealthy to set rigid time goals for milestone achievements. No one knows tomorrow and it's out of our hands really. You can crush 80% goals only to fall ill or get fired or the economy goes bust and you feel you failed.

I think it's better to line goals up and achieve one at a time. That gives a more positive outlook of what your success is at a point in time rather than what you weren't able to achieve.

Who set all these lifetime goals really? Hearsay or tradition?
