Guys, does having a PhD degree increase your chances of getting a better job opportunities in Nigeria or anywhere else?

It goes both ways.

Having a PhD won't place you ahead of others in terms of pay but of course, it is beneficial.

In Europe for example, the base requirement for a research job is a doctorate. You still have many steps after that though, post docs, R2 level all the way to R4 for which you must be self- motivated of course.

I have other friends who got jobs in oil companies, NGOs as soon as they concluded their doctorates because they had more skills than simple research or simply having a "Dr" appended to their names. Some were already good with econometrics, programming or lab skills.

In Nigeria, PhDs are only good to help you become a lecturer.

Simply do the CNG conversion and you're good. That should add some #2m to the budget. interstingly, V12s are not so bad for long distance travels especially if they have variable valve timing.

What happens if you pay a full year rent and the landlord issues a quit notice?

I can bet you won't find that woman again. Better pay normal agency fee after the 3 months and be the direct tenant...and why would you take a loan to pay rent? Are you financially balanced already? If not, continue squatting and managing until you can afford your own place.

I believe it's the same. Placing sentiments aside, with over 100k people dead, almost a million injured and several millions in Dollars expended, the madness must stop.

Realistically, there's no way Ukraine is reclaiming lost territory except World War 3 erupts. Stop the wanton waste of lives and resources and focus on rebuilding.

Interesting. The admin said I can't cancel the contract until March next year but they can help rent it to another person starting December. In the meantime, I would still carry the rent and avis dues, naturally. I have not visited the place but I can.

Can I sublease with the knowledge of the admin? Perhaps I shoot them a mail on that but I don't know how they would take it.

At the moment, I'm just in severe pains for paying rent and dues in a room I don't stay.

Cancel the contract. When you get the visa, you can stay in your uncle's place until you find a house and register it. You would usually get a 3 or 6 months visa first. That affords you some time. Just be open to living in a shared apartment, if you don't find your preferred type of house within that time.

An answer will be appreciated please. I am yet to get feedback fromthe Alien office regarding my sponsorship letter application filed by my uncle. Due to the high demand, I have secured early student accomodation in Stuttgart and the bills are beginning to rack up on a room I have never been to especially as I paying double rent in another european country alongside.

Even if I get the SL today (which I am not sure of), I still have like another 6 weeks before a visa approval can come. Is it advisable to terminate the contract and seek for accomodation when I get the visa and finally move? I learned seeking accomodation outside student dorms in a city like Stuttgart can be a treacherous and expensive experience.

Try the archives or luxury hotels. You may need someone on ground to do that for you.

If it's a collision, many passengers would have been knocked unconscious to begin with.

If not, the intense heat will drive all of them into a frenzy such that they won't give each other space to figure out how to open the door.

A similar fire incident on the Otedola bridge in Lagos reflects this scenario where all passengers in a commercial bus were consumed because they were all struggling to exit the bus at the same time.
