It is a BFP

I've had one failed cycle in the past and I also changed hospital because I didn't like how the hospital I used did their thing.

I prepared myself for more than 3months because of some circumstances beyond my control. I ate healthy, lost some weight too.

My husband and I prayed about two hospitals separately and God spoke to us to use a particular hospital on our list.

Did all my test and everything came out fine. Started the procedure and it was cancelled because my period refuse to stop.

Started again and everything worked fine.

I got 10eggs, 4 fertilised, 3 made it to day 3 and I had a day 3 transfer. Then the 2ww began. The most dreaded 2 weeks of my life. I had my transfer on a Monday, rested till Thursday and resumed school on Friday. I didn't take my bath from Tuesday to Thursday. I also didn't use deodorant or body cream for 1week. I drank a lot of water, ate pineapple core for 5days. I took avocado and banana all through the 2weeks even till now.

I did a home PT on day 12 and it was positive. Also had my blood PT on day 14 qnd it was positive.

Thank you for your response. Pls was yours removed via open surgery or keyhole (laparoscopy) I know Dr. Know better i just feel open surgery will take a longer time to heal than keyhole. How was your healing process like? Pls check your mail. I would love to further discussion with you sis.

I’m embarking on my ivf journey but fluid (hydrosalpinx) was detected in my tube with multiple cyst but my dr gave me the option of doing open surgery to remove the affected tube before my IVF procedure as it increases the chances. Anyone with similar experience?

I had it. I've removed mine. I'm presently on my 2 weeks wait after embryo transfer.

Hydrosalphinx is not embryo friendly. The fluid flows back to the uterus and kill the embryo. Your doctor is right about removing the affected tube before IVF. Just go with your doctors advise.

With all other factors ok,you should get pregnant with the ivf procedure.

Hello mamas. I just did hysteroscopy, and a lady told me now that based on her experience, she will advice i wait for 3 months before trying to conceive, because it can result to uterineadhesion.

I want to ask pls, is there any mama here that has done hysteroscopy too but has a different view? Pls eppp!

Our doctor didn't say to wait, but i also would like to hear from someone that has been in this boat.

Doctor only said, i should come back in two months do they can check if its properly healed, then my ivf procedure can begin, but i on the other hand wanted to be trying naturally, and the lady says its a bad idea.

Thank you so much.

Just go with your doctors advise.

I did a hysteroscopy and didn't have to wait for 3 months. I think I did my IVF about 4 weeks after the procedure.

I think hers is operative to remove fibriod that is why she has to wait.

Update:
I went for the hysteroscopy last week, i was placed on general anaesthetic i think, because I woke up 2 hours later.

They removed the fibroid in my uterus, which they showed my hubby. I have an uncomfortable pipe i have to carry around for a week before its removed.

The cramp is so much, omg.

Now they are saying before i begin my ivf procedure, i have to come for another hysteroscopy re check in two months time to be sure all is well, which i will be paying an additional 200k plus.

I didnt know it will take this turn, its more than I bargained for. I tried to use another clinic and i was told i will do all the pretest and hysteroscopy because they can only use their results.

Sighs, this journey is crazy, I have no idea what to do at this point. Lord have mercy

Thank God the fibriod has been removed. Just stick with your clinic.

IVF most times doesn't go how we plan it financially.

Noting beautiful comes easy.

All the best sis.

Good evening mamas
Quite a roller coaster journey.......
7 eggs retrieved
Only 2 fertilised
Was called upon to discuss day 3 transfer as we only have 2 embryos left and it's better to transfer than wait till day 5.
Grade A 8 cell embryo was transferred finally.
Still on progesterone support alongside folic acid.
Do we have someone that did a successful day 3 transfer?

Started taking pineapple core today and daily avocado#banana smoothies.
Any support ideas during this 2weeks wait?

Trusting God for his miracles over this cycle. Amen

Baby dust.

Baby dust to you.

By God's grace it will stick and you will get a BFP.

Hello mamas in the house. So I'm about to start my ivf process with nordica, done all tests.

I was told i will have to do sonohysteroscopy, to scan my uterus for any abnormalities. Now they said they can find something there (most likely fibroid), and this can be a potential threat, even after i conceive.

So they said i have to do hysteroscopy to check properly and take out what's there, before i can begin the ivf process proper.

Someone is telling me that it's just a way for them to milk me, I'm a bit confused and worried. The hysteroscopy is going to cost about 300k +

Pls who has been in this situation? How did you go about it pls

Nordica to like fibriod matter. I think you should seek a second opinion like someone earlier wrote.

And Dr Kingswill joins the saints. This life no balance at all.
Very very painful cos even though he had his lapses,he was a very good man with a good heart. Aside from giving us a discounted IVf of 850k He gave some of my members free iVF and some were to cycle wt him this month as compensation for a failed cycle or those who had issues with eggs not fertilising. It is well honestly. May God rest his soul. This is a big blow to our IVF and TTC family.

Sad one. May his soul rest in peace

Any sperm count between 10-20 million is regarded as low. This is less than 7million

Progression too is low

This is low sperm count also known as oligospermia.

Oligospermia is written there. Google for more information.

Happy Sunday Mamas...

Been a while. I hope everyone is doing great.

I'm happy for the success stories and successful deliveries also.

And to everyone that got negative results (bfn) and those trying naturally, I want to encourage us to please not give up. There is no room for giving up.

Like someone said above, take some break and thereafter, go back to the drawing board. One thing is sure, you must carry your child/children.

Sorry that this is coming late but some of us here that have been in contact with me already know but I still want the rest of us to thank God with me as my son (yes that one you know ) will be 13 months in a few days.

It was just like yesterday when I started my 1st IVF journey that resulted in this child (after 6+ years of infertility).
He is the strongest and fastest growing baby I have ever seen (not joking at all). He started walking at 9 months and right now has started understanding and pronouncing some words. (His father and I are always in awe).

God's gift indeed maketh rich and addeth no sorrow.

To Him be all the glory.

Trying naturally for now till further notice.

Thank God for you. God will bless and keep him.

Good evening beautiful people,
Please I want to go for hysteroscopy, I stay in lagos, who knows how effective LUTH is and what's the cost of doing hysteroscopy with them?

Don't bother going to LUTH. I know someone that was supposed to do hysteroscopy there early this year, when it was time they postponed it saying they lack something in the theater to use for the procedure. Till now they have not called her back. Check any private fertility clinic, it can't be more than 250k. I did for 200k in George's lekki for 2018.

congratulations for your bundle of joy. I have no ivf doctor yet the only doctor am seeing for now is just general hospital doctor and one private hospital doctor cos to threeat the ulcer.
I was st eve @ ikeja in year 2014 after reading some success story about them in this group hoping to use their clinic but could not go back due to financial issue. naw i heard they have moved to lekki. i have been preparing my body in so many ways. but fear is holding me back
Am swimming in confusion everyday thinking of ulcer, my age, corona is out there, lockdown is out there what if my appointment day fall on the day of no movement?
adoption is not easy, 0ne million question with no answer in my head everyday is wearing me out
pls. I will appreciate if anyone can recommend a good ivf center around ikeja cos i no longer have the strenght to go as far as lekki.

St Ives still have their office in ikeja. They have different branches. Ikeja, Ikoyi, Akowonjo and Abeokuta. You can still go back there, they didn't move. Just Google their addresses. All the best to you.

Good morning mamas , hope we are all doing well. Please I have a question bothering my heart so so much and it’s giving me serious sleepless nights. I am 30 years old and currently in the USA doing my masters , i had my first child through ivf In Nigeria. I still have some embryos at the clinic I did my ivf in Nigeria. But am thinking whether to start a fresh ivf cycle here in the USA because my Nigeria passport has expired and it’s going to take months to renew another passport also with this corona virus pandemic I dnt know when the airport would be opened . When I did the calculation coming back and doing it in the USA it’s almost same price because of the flight tickets and accommodation in Nigeria , I wouldn’t want to stay with family. So they Dnt know much information about my plans. Since they were not aware of my first child. It was btw me n hubby. The drugs in the USA are covered by insurance So I only pay for the procedure alone
I am really confused whether to do it in Nigeria since I have frozen embryos. Or start a fresh cycle in the USA
But what happens to the embryos in naija.
Please house I would appreciate a reply in other for me to decide properly
Thanks mamas

You have a good deal in the US so go for it. You can discard your embryos in Nigeria when you don't have need for it anymore.

A lady called me from the thread precisely on the 21st of December. She's not registered. Just a guest. Her case was secondary infertility. Her last hormonal profile showed high prolactin which she treated and BM stopped coming. But she was still not taking in.

My advice was simple.
Use dieting to ensure prolactin is down. Don't just rely on chemical drugs.

Cabbage daily
Alligator pepper
Ewedu leaf soup( she couldn't get this because she's in the east)
Vit b6 from ovulation.

She called yesterday that she just tested positive and I bless God on her behalf . I had to share this to encourage another person. Especially those dealing with high prolactin.

These remedies have always been here. Take this thread seriously. We lost a lot on NL data loss, but there is a lot more to learn if you can be patient and read.

Baby dust to us all kiss

Nice one.

Please what diet can I do for low progesterone?

Mama, how are you feeling now? Just seeing your message.

I had hydrosalpinx of the left tube and I have my baby now to the glory of God.

I didn't take Yimucao or xixian cao but I took serrapeptase and astragalus and I didn't feel any cramp like pain.

Thank you so much. I feel better now.

I was also doing castor oil massage but I stopped. Ithink that was what caused the pain because I no longer feel it.
