From my analysis it would take 15 billion dollars to build pipeline to transport oil from the north east basin to the ocean in calabar ...or at best ebonyi so you can then use the calabar river to move them

So you need at least 1 million barrels per day production for like 20 years to make such investment worth it

See the bigger picture. The north is north interested in ferrying their crude oil to Europe in exchange for dollars pounds and euro printed in the white man's backyard. They are saving their gold... they're now drilling crude oil. Next, The north will get a perfectly working refinery to refine their crude oil and boost production and productivity in their region... They already have a son, Dangote, who will make this happen for them by first testing and gaining experience using southern oil revenue to build his own refinery in Lagos through his brother who is president.

While southerners are externally divisive and greedy and won't allow things work for the common good of all... No refinery in the south is working... Europeans keep paying the thieving southern politicians and those in position of power to steal crude oil from south and ferry to Europe to aid their production.

Your mum's lifestyle has roots in her upbringing. If her parents had been very strict with her and also had the resources to ensure she either gets good education or learn a valuable skill she would not end up this way.

Because the hard and sad truth in today's Nigeria is that a woman who has no education and no skill/handwork will still need to survive and fend for her basic needs like food, shelter and security.

If the education and skill/handwork is not there to help her find and utilise opportunities around her to meet these needs, she will default to using her body to earn income because sex is also a product that sells in the market.

Another contributing factor is that your mum likely has a wild/free and stubborn spirit and it takes a very disciplined and principled father/mother to break and tame such kind of children before they get to adulthood were they can no longer be tamed and moulded. Again, her upbringing.

So, Ehis, just know that your mum still loves you as her child but she can no longer help herself. To break free of the habit she has now learnt to help her survive, she needs another lifeline, a fresh start. She needs to be put in a place where she can learn a productive skill, she needs money to support her rent, feeding, clothing and transportation, and she needs to go to a new town to start life afresh. Who will provide the resources for her to do this? You? Her parents?

You see that's the reason she's still doing what she's doing even though it's not what she's proud of, otherwise she won't be crying. In there in her heart is a woman who wished she had good education, handwork and living under the protective care of a husband. But those are things that she will find extremely difficult to acquire given her age and current situation.

It's a hard life bro.

Just channel your pain into an energy source to fuel your ambition to succeed and perhaps help lift your mum out of the trenches. Make sure you make the right choices today and every other day ahead with respect to your education and training and skill acquisition. Flee from people and lifestyle that will lead you astray to become wayward or irresponsible. There's a battle ahead you'll need to fight and you need all the knowledge, success, humility, ambition, drive, discipline, empathy and motivation to help you win.

I just pray God helps you and helps your mum live long enough to a point where you can lift her up from her situation.

And this your story should be a warning to every father, mother, parent, brother, sister, uncle, aunty, relative to a female child or anyone who has a female child in their lives. Especially if you are male, please do your best to ensure that little female child gets the right training, education and discipline to help her succeed in life so she doesn't end up doing prostitution to survive.
