Exactly what I told one of my students. She had MSc in related course but wanted to study Process Control/Industrial Automation. I told her plain and simple, advice and encourage one of your children to aspire for the course. I hate lecturers playing with senior aunties.
pls dont discourage people who want to learn.......I have an uncle, he just became a nurse at the age of 62 and he is doing well for himself........I wonder what will have happened of he met a lecturer like you

Integrity is everything for you and many more hypocritic Nigerians when it has to do with another person and about money, yet almost every of you Nigerians lacks integrity in all spheres of life, marriage, relationship, etc.

He who goes to equity must come with clean hands.

I have never seen a country bereft of integrity like Nigeria which is why they celebrate criminals and have a messed up country.

my conclusion. If he had never sin in that way before (integrity wise) let him cast the first stone, but if he has, let him think deeply again about his decision because every human being has a flaw in one way or the other.
And how do we clean up our messed up country if nobody faces the consequences of their actions, because according to you everyone is doing it

You might end up working like a horse and paying for her student loans or any debt she has.

Men need to be smart, some girls are out there to turn you into a working horse.

Debt must be a top discussion for people wanting to marry.

Ok I understand. The educational system is diiferent over there with all the loans and debt. .......but she better be working too because there is no point indebting your self to acquire a college education if u are not going to use it to make money

No silly, that's the perfect definition of a leach
The insult was unnecessary......you may see it as leeching but it's not. People( men and women) in general marry people who would either help make achieveing their goals easier and make their lives better.......I dont know if you are married or in a relationship, but I assure you are an asset to your husband or boyfriend....if not he won't be with you and he is also an asset to you because if he wasn't you would have pushed forward

My own simple.
Both man and woman especially the men, just avoid those with student loans.
If she isn't telling you the amount of student loans she has, run away.

You see all the points you mentioned, especially 6 and 7, most guys will ignore it simply becos of the need to be abroad, they don't care if those ladies make them their slave, but if this points are that of Nigerian ladies living here, especially the independent ones cos they most times have these traits, these thread would have been on page 10 by now filled with insults, look at some of the slow platinum diggers above asking where they can meet them, bunch of hypocritical leeches lol.
how about the women mend their attitude, instead of forcing men to accept bad attitude. ....how is it bad if a man doesnt want an arrogant, rude woman ?

Health / Re: Anxiety In Kano Over Continuing Deaths, People Leaving Ancient City In Droves by lanreHeda: 1:04pm On May 04, 2020
Kazim88:

You are actually right, but also KANO CAN'T NOT FOLLOW SOCIAL DISTANCING AND ISOLATION.

it's like telling a man to fly, or walk on water, this is part of the reality. Their shutdown is not even real. Kano can't be effectively shutdown, they are extremely religious and stubborn.
The almajiri case is a different one.

All interstates borders can't be seal, it is not possible over night... Some Notherners just arrived Lagos today through Cattle truck.

Government CAN'T share palliative even if they is excess resources. It's against their greedy nature.

It's best we work with factors that possible and try to look for solution than saying Kano should self Isolate, which is impossible or the should seal or borders which is also impossible.
Are they the only stubborn people ? Are they the only religious people ?......its sayings like these that embolden them. The lockdown is probably the best to restrict the spread of the virus. Perhaps this Covid-19 issue will open their eyes to some of the serious socio-cultural problems they have over there.
p.s Italians too were stubborn......weeks after the index case, they carried on with life as usual. I dont need to tell what there are facing now

Reality is we have a weak Socioeconomic system with terrible leaders leading the fearful.

Else instead of shouting shutdown shutdown... Like Senegal, many European countries, we should have developed our own instant 2 minutes testing.
Self treatment drugs that is cheap, like the one for lice that is effective, like Chroquine, like the one of Madagascar.

But like I said we elected politicians and civil servants that are not problem solvers but people that can make big fake promises...
Be that as it may, it doesn't excuse the behaviour of the kano populace and their leaders. i can only what would have happened if the 1st case was in kano instead of Lagos. The Lagos state government took initiative on their own before they were supported by the federal government but Ganduje is just saying bring 15 billion naira.
The populace don't follow the social distancing etiquette. Till now in some places, Congregational prayer are still been held.
Kano is arguably the largest city in Nigeria, how they handle the virus is very paramount to eliminating the virus in Nigeria.......because the index cases in plateau, jigawa and borno all arrived from Kano state.

.
All of you shouting "fenced off Kano" from your backyard are funny cheesy.. Fenced by who to protect who.
Do you know how many states you would pass from Kano to Lagos, do you know how many borders, do you know the resources in finance and man power required, do you understand the resultant effect of the seal off politically...

Kano indigenes with the new strain of the virus are freely roaming about coming down south and you are in your backyard ignorantly shouting lose border, .

Better face reality and stop deceiving yourself
and What is the reality ?

Nairaland is becoming an engine of promoting hatred, bigotry, social unrest and it is becoming a threat to the national security, moderators are always looking for flaming concocted stories to push to front page in order to push their wretched agenda of dividing the country.

How can you say people are leaving Kano in droves when we are in the city and people are all going on with their affairs especially today when there is an ease of the lockdown, this is misinformation and a wicked attack to the image of Kano and Kano people.

Seun please do something as soon as possible before the situation goes out of hand. These days I am always promising myself not come back to Nairaland due to high amount of insults and hate speech direct towrds the North, Huasa people and Muslims, but I always end up coming back because of the familiarity with the platform.
From the person always calling Igbo people "Igbos" and pigs........Classic case of pot calling kettle black

Well, my advice is that if a man thinks it's a bad idea to give his gf money, let him stay on his lane, no be by force to have gf, an d to the ladies, don't allow men insults you because of the peanut they give you, find something doing, double ur hustle, invest in your life and family, and u will see men that knows and value your worth will get n after you.

God bless us all.

So have no issue when its the man doing do excessive spending........but if the lady like in your case, doing the spending then its bad abi ?

I remembered vividly of how a crazy guy I met will always call me to borrow him #500, at first I felt how is #500, I can actually give the money to a beggar, but this guy keeps coming all in the name relationship asking for more. He went a step further, that whenever he wants to come to my house, he tells me to prepare food for him and he even tell me how he wants the meal to be prepared n served. So one fateful day like that, this guy calls again and said babe I'll be coming to your house o, you know my favorite, ensure you put enough animals in my soup, na im I con tell am say oga, if u are coming branch market and buy animals wey u want, I go cook am when u reach, he con tell me say im no fit but anything, shey bi I no follow am talk. When he came, he was expecting the usual, na im I con change am for am say when I asked him to buy something he said he can't, n me sef I no fit do community service work. That was the last time I hear from the guy.
So @Op what do you want to call the guy? Smart guy or Golddigger? If u think u can't spend your money on your gf, it's fine, girls sef don wake up. Even the Bible talk am, there's a time for everything, a time to take, and a time give. If u can't tell a lady to take, then don't expect any lady to give you in return.

I rest my case.

Then u understand......what the OP is saying men should avoid ladies with the same baehaviour as the guy in your post.........people that keep taking and never give
