My hubby and I have had no financial secrets since marriage. He uses my atm regularly and it's almost as though we operated a joint account. This has worked for us until recently.

Now the issue is this: I'm saving for my masters school fees(distance learning) which invoves thousands of pounds. I had to defer it last year due to financial constraints. So from the beginning of this year, I had already started making plans to pay. Hubby promised to assist but each time he puts away some money, something always comes up to make him use it up.

I wouldn't have minded much if it was just that, but he turns around to deplete my own savings, promising to pay when he has money. I know he has no other means of income and cannot fulfill that promise.As it stands now, I've not been able to save a dime, and my fees is due in 2 months.
So I told him he is on his own as far as this month and next month's salary is concerned, cos I'm saving every bit of it. Some money being owed me at my place of work for months now was finally paid me yesterday. I didn't want to tell him at first, but later did this morning.

He said he was disappointed, that I've started keeping secrets from him. That he only spent my money because he was broke and not out of carelessness. I told him there was a cause.

He spends money as he sees it, and does not believe in saving for the rainy day. He is not frivolous, but will start projects he had earlier shelved due to lack of money as soon as he sees money. For e.g, He has been talking about hosting a big time baby dedication, and the whole family travelling to the village next month for holiday, which are all capital intensive projects, when he knows he cannot fund it with his salary alone.

I think he wants me to allow him use my savings, then hope for a miracle to pay my fees. I know he's not commited to my academic pursuits, though he claims to. He once used up money I had saved for a proffessional exam, promising to pay b4 the closing date, only to tell me to forgett about an exam I had fully prepared for a day to the closing date because he couldn't raise the money. I had to run around to borrow and pay that same day.

So, ladies and gents, am I wrong to have barred him from touchingmy money for thisperiod or not? Should I stop telling him how much I have exactly? Share your thoughts.

Op your a very right but. will advice u open a separate account and save there, so it will not look different to him, some men sha they like awoof....anyways just to. Save him feeling bad

Singer Omawumi has given birth to her second child - a baby boy. Omawumi welcomed her bundle of joy in the early hours of today in a hospital in the US. Mother and son are said to be doing great. This is the second child for Omawumi and her husband, Tosin Yusuf. Big congrats to them.

Kano – The application for the admittance of former Jigawa governor, Sule Lamido and his two sons-Mustapha and Aminu- to bail, is to be determined on Tuesday by an Abuja Federal High Court.
This is because the judge who heard the money laundering case being preferred against the suspects by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission is proceeding along with her colleagues on vacation, which will terminate in September this year.
But in Abuja, no fewer than two vacation judges will be sitting to hear critical matters arising in the judiciary during period.
Vanguard learnt from sources close to the former governor, who is being besieged by supporters at the Kano Central Prison, that his legal team would move into Abuja on Monday to prepare the grounds for the release of the Lamido and his two sons.
It was learnt that the bail application paper has already been assigned to a senior judge in Abuja who is likely going to give the suspects bail on very stringent terms.
The legal team is likely to argue that former governors of Adamawa and Imo states who were arraigned in court on the dame day with Lamido and sons were admitted to bail same day and that there was no justification to deny the former foreign affairs minister similar gesture for a bailable offense.
A visit to the Kano Prison on Sunday by one of our correspondents showed that no fewer than 1000 persons were queuing to have a glimpse of Lamido as a mark of their identification with him since being thrown into the reformatory house last Thursday.
The politician is reported to have told his admirers that his spirit was unbroken and that he would come out of his current predicament unscathed having been kept in prisons before for the sake of democracy advancement in Nigeria.
It will be recalled that the police had to contend with the supporters of the politician in Kano a Federal a High Court before being able to bring him to the court for arraignment last Thursday.

When they day comes, watch out whether she would pester you on phone when it is past the time you arranged for the outing If she pesters you on phone, she is a hungry girl! Contented babes don't get worked up because of outing at an eatery. The hungry one will pester you not because she wants to see your face but because she is dying to consume hungrily those things she has vowed to order when both of you finally get to the eatery
