Politics / Is Increase In Minimum Wage The Answer To Our Problems In Nigeria? by largie(f): 7:45pm On Feb 21, 2009
I really don't think raising the minimum wage should be the focus of our labour leaders.I would want to think that enforcing the provision of the basic human needs at affordable cost to the masses is better. If these things are readily available for the people then the little anyone is paid will still go a long way.Or is it that i don't understand how things work.

don't you think you should rather be sympathetic ?she has all her system running haywire and this is something she can't controll.she is directly feeling the impact of pregnancy what you are feeling is her reaction to the impact and you 'want to call her bluff' If you don't want to hurt her feelings and your relationship i will tell you to soft pedal and accomodate that and even brace up for more of it.I will advise you meet other guys well experienced and ask them how they pull through.Welcome to the women's world.Go on the internet and get to understand all that happens to a woman in pregnancy and what is expected of her partner.show her more love that way it gets easier for both of you.
good luck

hi dr.
i am 34 weeks gone and i tell you it has been a roller coaster event but thank God it is almost over.lately i have been experiencing a very bad backache i'm tempted to swallow a few pills of ibuprofen could you pls advise me.I'll want to know what to do to avoid a posterior or lateral presentation of my baby, also i have heard a lot of scary tales about how epidural leads to c-s eventually and i am at the point of making my birth plan do you mind giving me more insight to it.I am so scared of straying away from my natural childbirth stance,in fact i am praying to have a supernatural childbirth.
Thanks

Let her go for an ultrasound scan first to see the baby she wants to 'kill' if after that she still wants to go ahead then she is evil.I advise her to take heart and be strong for her kids. Then put a plug in her private part must she sleep around without protection in the name of love

I remember when my friend had a baby and i paid her a visit with my 3 yr old son.As soon as i carried the baby my son just froze all the smiles he had on and we thought it was a joke soon he moved to a corner sulking.Soon the baby needed to be breastfed and his mom took him from me as soon as my son saw it was my friend that was nursing the baby he started warming up to my friend and guess what he said 'ugh that's your baby' when i said no it was my baby he said u are kidding me right.we all laughed

Family / Fair Weather Friends by largie(f): 7:49pm On Jun 18, 2008
We have this family friends that are good as long as we are ones giving emotionally or otherwise.Being christians and the fact that both families are from the yoruba speaking tribe we did not see anything to it for long time.Few occasions that I had to ask them for favors were always like I'll call you back and afterwards calls starts getting into voicemails that were returned. There was an incident the husband sold 3 fairly used laptops to us and later came back after 6months to ask if he could pay us back to have at least one of those laptops at the price he sold them because they got expensive.Still we felt it was okay until they started behaving funny when we needed favor from them. The situation now is that they are in a financial stress and want us to bail them out but deep down me I don't want to.Could someone advise me on this please.
thanks

Health / Re: This Is Not Right, Yuck Man by largie(f): 11:32pm On Jun 11, 2008
There was a similar case i witnessed in naija but in that case it was with a baby.you know the main form of drying clothes is hanging them on line,in which case all these mega house flies will visit your clothes and leave their deposit which might be eggs.If you now put those 'washed' clothes on your baby without proper ironing ,there is the chance of the egg settling in the pores of your baby's skin and in a matter of hours the eggs turn to maggots. If NEPA or whatever they are called decide to strike it hastens the incubation.
In short it is good to iron your clothes especially if you have to spread it in an open space
Properties / Re: Why Pay House Rent In Advance? by largie(f): 1:50pm On Jun 10, 2008
This is also one of the causes of hardship in the country. You'll see that once there a law against this act there will be almost 40% decrease in hardship. Also we would notice a higher percentage of the unmarried young men thinking about getting married and looking forward to a bright future.
Landlords asking tenants to pay 1 yr -2yrs in rent is not helping at all.But i doubt if the present set of leaders will do anything about it because who are the landlords we are talking about?

@Paul_Smart

Naija is very blessed, but we don't know that cos the grass is always greener from the other side, each season comes with its own kind of fruit. So all year round there is something affordable You don't need a truckload of whatever fruit you are buying. The crops we have in Nigeria are natural and just like they are meant to be,taste these bio-tech stuff and you'll know the difference.I'll still prefer to give my kid fresh fruit and vegetable. In fact giving him multivitamins daily will not be my idea thrice a week will do.
