You saw Kadaria Ahmed a pro APC, say there is a problem if any candidate doesn't get 25% in FCT.
This one is not on Obidients. They are just exploring a loophole in the constitution that they did not write Theres no loophole in the constitution concerning this particular topic. Subsection 299 of the constitution already clarify how the FCT should be administered as a state in this kind of situation. |

BlueRayDick: I once dropped a link of what my guy Ndubuisi Ekekwe has to say about tracking tankers to actually get a true and fair picture of what we actually consume . The guy proposed how to actually track what we consume and how we should plan for it. He never got a call of mail from Buhari’s government ; they are cool with listening to Kyari’s stories without any verifiable evidence to back it up .
Nigeria’s problem is that a whole lot of decision makers are politicians and they think the political effect of their actions is more important than the actual and factual effect . 🤦♂️ Wait, I thought nnpc has implemented this already? |

GloriousGbola: we have always had a subsidy. what happened is that under GEJ's admin a large number of briefcase/ shell company marketers entered into the system. this was never fully addressed.
ironically or unironically, i believe mofe boyo of oando is slated to become petroleum minister. people may start having to actually account for these ridiculous numbers rather than just pull them out of their asses with no consequences It’s a racket from deep inside NNPC, politicians and the private marketers. If Mofe Boyo is from Lagos or Ogun, I doubt how that will work. |

liveLongNprospa: Larride do you in all honesty believe we consume 60 million litres a day? Of course not, I think we consume around 20-30m per day. The rest is diverted to our neighbors. That has always been known. If you travel to any of our borders, you will see petrol stations there always with product. |

izzou: I don't understand this paragraph
Or do you mean our fuel consumption is lower than what they are supplying? Our consumption has been increasing astronomically since 2013 I believe from 25m suddenly to 60m when the subsidy regime started and private marketers started imported fuel into the country. Both the NBS, NNPC and even the Minister for petroleum has always provided different numbers that we are consuming a day. Kyari said we consumed around 60m a day even when close to 100m litres seems to be entering the ground daily. That’s why they are doing trying to put trackers on trucks and some coded projects along the way. |

BlueRayDick: Baba, there are businesses u can do in naija but most of it u must be on ground to run it at infancy before u can think of putting other people in charge. Even if u want to run a pure legit business, u must know so much about the unethical practices in that line of business for u to be able to plan against them impacting ur business negatively.
Let me share a story.
I went to see a friend one day and from his house we went to a big hotel closeby to have a drink. He ordered Hennessey which the waiter brought, my friend opened the drink and claimed its a fake Henny. He was pissed and asked them to call the manager whom he accused of selling fake Henny for the price of original.
The manager swore upon everything he held dearly that they buy their henny straight from distributor and there's no way they will sell "apongbon" Hennessey. My friend was so convinced it was fake and asked the manager to sip to confirm. The man confirmed the drink was fake but confused how a fake Henny made it into their stock.
In order to compensate us for our trouble, the manager asked the waiter to bring another bottle but it turned out fake as well. The third bottle was brought and it turned out to be fake. At that point the manager was embarrassed and started pleading. It then struck him that some of the staff ran a racket in the past where they buy fake Henny from home, bring it to work and exchange it with the original they have in their stock.
Like do u know the negative effect the incident will have on their business if we made a big deal out of it? That is just one of the ways in which people can ruin ur business in Nigeria if u don't research well enough about the unethical practices involved in ur line of business. Nigerians are just purely fraudulent with little or no consideration for the owner of the business. |

liveLongNprospa: I know lafarge sells to wholesalers for 4400 for supaset and 4300 classic. Now those wholesalers sell at retail by adding at most 500 naira to that price.
Lafarge always ensures that the price difference between them and Dangote isn't more than 500 at most. And right now Dangote retail cement price is 4700 in delta state. Meaning the company price is around 4200-4500 if buying from Dangote gan.
So I dunno where he said they make 50 percent from. The cement business profit only fully shows when you are a wholesaler and you have to sell alot of cement to see profit that is reasonable. The trucks used to deliver the cement to wholesalers are usually free or factored into the price given (someone can correct me here).
50% of a minimum price of 4000 is 2000 naira. Make baba stop am abeg😂😂 Well I wish I can get my hands on that interview, whenever I come across that interview again, I will surely drop it here. |

BlueRayDick: I disagree with this position in bold. Dangote cement being priced higher than other brands might be due to a lot of factors other than distributor's margin. For example it could be due to branding and how acceptable the brand is ; It could be due to the fact that Dangote is a market leader like indomie in the noodles market(which makes indomie more expensive than other brands), It could even be due to the marketing/advertising effort of his business managers who have imprinted it in people's mind that Dangote cement is a better brand such that u are willing to buy Dangote's cement cos u feel safer due the the quality product they promise in their adverts and marketing effort.
I honestly don't think wholesalers just price Dangote cement higher because they feel like doing so. Whatever the case may be, Dangote the man surely knows about it. Let’s wait for Prosper to tell us the factory price of Dangote in comparison to Lafarge and BUA. |
