They will tell you that it's Tinubu and Adedibu telling the states to vote PDP too and they are obeying him

By the time you analyze who was voted in presidential elections in the SW vs SE you see a familiar pattern too. PDP has always won every presidential election in every SE state in the past 24yrs but evidence doesn't matter na agenda matter pass

Na only for SE apathy dey. Other regions don't sit at home on election days

Ask them to bring stat of total population vs actual votes for every election to compare
Lagos with population of over 15m has never had over 2m people at the polls.

The same in almost all the SW states. You'd think voter apathy is in just 1 region.

Any thing to excuse the series of bad and terrible leaders they elect.

The owners of Nigeria have repented and want new blood there, not old cargoes anymore. They are finally doing the right thing.

https://www.nairaland.com/7485963/2023-ex-generals-actually-backing-obi

Former Presidential Olusegun Obasanjo and other influential Nigerians are said to be backing a paradigm shift from the old order in a bid to enthrone new breed of politicians to run the affairs of the country.

There are strong speculations that some influential ex-military generals and former heads of government have thrown their weights behind the candidacy of Obi. These speculations followed Obasanjo’s disposition and romance with the former Anambra State governor.

But it will not be out of place to conclude that the show of interest the ex-generals in who becomes the president has also always been the tradition since 1999.

Nigeria’s democracy since the inception of the Fourth Republic has always been influenced mostly by the powerful retired generals.

The likes of Obasanjo, retired Lt. Generals T. Y Danjuma, and Aliyu Gusau, as well as retired Generals Ibrahim Babangida, and Abdulsalami Abubakar, among others, have either consciously or unconsciously seen themselves as custodians of Nigeria’s core national interests.
I thought we are taking back our country from owners of Nigeria? grin

Make una dey play.

Apart from Lagos, all other SW states has rotated among most of the parties.

Ogun State
1999 - 2003: Baba Oshoba (AD)
2003 - 2011: Otunba Gbenga Daniel (PDP)
2011 - 2019: Amosun (ACN/APC)
2019 - date: Dapo Abiodun (APC)

Oyo State
1999 - 2003: Lam Adeshina (AD)
2003 - 2007: Rashidi Ladoja (PDP)
2007 - 2011: Alao Akala (PDP)
2011 - 2019: Ajimobi (ACN/APC)
2019 till date : Seyi Makine (PDP)

In Oyo state, no Gov has done back to back until Ajimobi did it under ACN/APC. The same Ajimobi lost his senatorial district while he was an outgoing Gov because the people says the man talks anyhow while APC still won the other remaining 2 senatorial district in the state.

Ekiti State
1999 - 2003: Niyi Adebayo (AD)
2003 - 2007: Fayose (PDP)
2007 - 2010: Segun Oni (PDP) Court annulled the election
2010 - 2014: Fayemi (ACN)
2014 - 2018: Fayose (PDP)
2018 - 2022: Fayemi (APC)

Ondo State
1999 - 2003: Adebayo Adefarati (AD)
2003 - 2009: Olusegun Agagu (PDP)
2009 - 2017: Olusegun Mimiko (LP)
2017 till date: Rotimi Akeredolu (APC)

Osun State
1999 - 2003: Baba Bisi Akande (AD)
2003 - 2010: Olagunsoye Oyinlola (PDP)
2010 - 2018: Rauf Aregbesola (ACN/APC)
2018 - 2022: Oyetola (APC)
2022 n counting: Adeleke (PDP)

You will look at this and say one man is controlling the region but your own region that has been voting zombie way since 1999 is the one that has no leaders.

Bunch of clowns.

I like your ways and how you give creative excuses when you're shown evidence of worse things happening in the SE

When talking about other regions its because they are easily controlled

When talking about SE with similar or worse evidence it's because elections are rigged, they are chameleons

Oyo went to AD to PDP to ACN to PDP its because they are easily controlled.
Enugu has been with PDP since 1999 its because they vote on credibility and don't follow sheepishly

Presidency Oyo has voted AD PDP APC PDP. It's because they are easily controlled by one person

Presidency Enugu has always voted one party PDP. It's because they follow credibility and don't follow sheepishly

So they don't rig in other regions or chameleons don't exist in other regions

They evidence are there right in your face
No need to take him serious again.

Most of those have been rigging elections.

There are some few elections in the SE that were not rigged and we know the outcomes. Like Rochas, Peter Obi etc.

That of OUK though free and fair, but the people wanted him.

Another point you need to be aware of is that, some politicians are like cameleon. They are saints when contesting but become thieves once they get there. Eg Rochas
I'm sure you are having a laugh while typing this.

Credibility is relative here.

The main point is that they don't follow anyone sheepishly. You have to convince them. Unlike other places where someone can control the entire political space of the state or region.

So unless the election is rigged or legal powers are used, you can't win elections in SE simply because you belong to a party or your godfather.
So kindly tell us why APGA has been winning Anambra election since 1999. Soludo that ran under PDP lost but when he contested under APGA he won.

Tell us how PDP has been winning Abia election since 1999. Orji Kalu won on PDP platform before creating his PPA and his stooge Theodore won under PPA before moving back to PDP and Ikpeazu from the Orji Kalu camp still won the third time.

Tell us how PDP has been winning Enugu election since 1999

Tell us how PDP has been winning Ebonyi election since 1999.

We all have the time, please lecture us.

Donjazet2:
Larride, I keep repeating this here that the presidency is beyond one man.
Someone here once asked me if I went back in time today to 2015 despite knowing what I know whether I will still vote APC and I said yes. Because despite the failure of the party's administration, their emergence has inevitably led to a better democracy for Nigeria.

Even though the PDP has failed as an opposition, Nigeris is still not a one party state and that we have relatively strong electoral laws today and hopes of a freer election next year is because of the fact that both parties don't want either of themselves to rig the other out in the states they control.

So APCs emergence did pave the way for the present Obi phenomenon. If APC did not win, they would have most likely splintered after that election and we would have no choice. We would have been like our African neighbours. One party for 50 years just like PDP had bragged. Just like we see in Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe and the likes.

That's the same thing I'm doing today, campaigning for what an Obi presidency REPRESENTS. A campaign not backed by looted fund's. A campaign funded and energized by the common masses. An Obi win gives him a chance of telling the establishment, none pf you put me here, the people put me here and I will work for them..
That's the beauty of what the Obi presidency represents. One who is outside of the establishment. One who no state Governor is backing with looted state funds or corrupt money. One who is being pushed by the average citizen.

So yes. That Buhari was a failure does not mean we don't move on and fight again for a better choice. Buhari failed but democracy survived.
This us not I am asking you and this Shalaye doesn't even cut it 1 bit.

You have no moral right whatsoever to criticize those that campaign and voted for Buhari. It shouldn't even be in your talking point because you are as guilty as they are except you are a shameless hypocrite.

The irony that your Peter Obi DG is a man that took part in the arms deal scandal, you know the one where they shared money meant for arms and ammunitions for the military.

Nobody is asking you not to campaign and vote for whoever you want but you especially should not be using the "They brought Buhari to power line" when you know you were part of those who brought him into power.

Obi handed all missionary schools back to churches'management for effective management but still provided resources and requipping of all of them plus increasing and prompt payment of teachers salary for better education.

2. I campaigned and voted for buhari because I believed that as a former military general, he would be better equipped to handle the insecurity issue and that he wouldn't be easily controlled by the Cabal. I also believed he would fight corruption based on his work in ptf. But he failed woefully!!
Lol. Before Obi became Gov, Tinubu handed back 48 mission schools back to the missionaries in 2001.
I expect you to tell us Peter Obi legacy in Education, not telling us he returned missionary schools back to the missions.

Good that you owned up to the fact that you campaigned and voted for Buhari in 2015. If the Buhari you campaigned and voted for is who you now term a failure, what right do you have to criticize those who campaign and voted for the same Buhari?

Oga whatever you may perceive as Obi's shortcomings, Tinubu's is 10 times worst.
We have to make a choice because one of them must rule us by this time next year.

Whose will be better?? That's the question.
Statistics has shown us that Obi performed better than Tinubu "relative to resources available".
Obi jas astounding legacies on education, rural development and economic balancing in the state.
One of the only governors not to borrow a single dime throughout his tenure in office, do you know what that means? A governor who at the time of leaving office was not owing any single salary or pension. A governor who has not received a penny from state government while others feed fat on state resources.

I could go on and on but I'm sure you already know all these but is trying Soo hard to give yourself flimsy reason why you would be a coward on the sidelines. Sorry for that word but it is what it is. Saying you're not voting is an absolute surrender to the wicked politics being played. Keep playing the ostrich.
Which statistics? Oluwole own abi which one?

Peter Obi didn't borrow a dime as Governor or what is this that I read?

Mention 1 Peter Obi legacy in Education. Let's start from there.
