I didn't even bother to read.
I am starting to lose so much interest in politics lately, and coupled with the fact that almost everybody seems not to understand themselves here

One minute, BAT, Obi is the man for Nigeria

The next minute, Nigeria cannot work even if Jesus rules.

I no even read am bros. Na banters dey make me stay here.
You should know I am a firm believer in Nigeria. Nigeria is not going to break up, nobody will break it up but we can salvage it through tedious hard work.

It is not going to happen overnight. It will take years and decades to correct all wrong but I trust Tinubu to set us on the path of prosperity.

That is why I am voting for Renewed Hope.

Some tardiness on his & LP part for the unbiased us sort of understandable given the last minute foray into presidential contest. I doubt if Obi & LP expected the level receptiveness he has gotten, likewise APC who expected him to eat into PDP SE& SS votes & PDP expected him to fizzle out like other mushroom parties, both now are having to restrategise due to current turn of events a shock Obi victory though still very farfetched is not outside the realms of impossibility and before Oga Dayo starts getting excited No am not putting on a bet of 10m on it grin

However what is not acceptable is waiting till end of January for Obi & LP manifesto.
They have released a manifesto tonight.

He is not President yet, but was still imposing candidates in most States in the SouthWest. The current Senate President and the House Speaker are also his chosen Candidates, now imagine what powers he would arrogate to himself as President and C-in-C..
Lmao. He impose the Senate President on the Senators in the NA?

He imposed the House Speaker on the Reps in the NA?

The same Senate President that lost his party ticket to go back to the senate? cheesy

BAO that won in Ekiti wasn't even his preferred candidate but he still campaigned and work for him.

Oyetola his own candidate lost the guber election in Osun.

These examples are just this year oh.

Oga I am serious, I understand he joined the fray very late, and so the delay can be excused but it is 3months to election so he better hurry up except he no longer wants to be taken seriously.
They drop one manifesto, when the public outcry to the emptiness of the manifesto was raised on SM, they quickly withdraw it.

Dont worry, before the end of January, they will release a new one.

I disagree; God forbid the level of agitation increases which is a possibility, and my fear for an Atiku win; they may have no choice, especially of the head hunchos of NASS believe they would head their regions, dont underestimate selfish interest of politicians most especially Naija Politicians.
Lol. It is simply not going to happen. Constitution amendment no be joke.

After the Senate or house assembly "might" have passed it, the other house has to concur on the bill also after that, they will send it to the State house of Assembly for assent. 24 State house of assembly have to assent to it before it can become law.

It is simply not going to happen except it is what the Governors wanted because it's the Governors that have most of the Senators, Reps and House of Assembly members in their pocket. You do anyhow and you simply lose the party primaries for reelection as the Governor control the party structures in their respective states.

Regionalism is a pipe dream that is not going to work. What is realistic is fiscal restructuring and decentralization of power.

Someone told us that APC candidates and members in the SS are running away from associating with Tinubu.

Tinubu went to Delta, all the SS APC candidates were there. Omo Agege was behind him solidly.

He went to Bayelsa and the same thing also. Even Tonye Cole (Amaechi candidate in Rivers) was there with him solidly with Timpre Slyva and the rest.

Today Tinubu lands in London for to prepare for his engagement at Chatham House on Monday and Ben Ayade is with him gidigba.

Make una no dey take some people serious for here. cheesy

My preffered restructuring - return to regional goverment 6 regions, going by the article provided by OasisX seems Tinubu version is more fiscal.
No president has the power to disband the current system of govt we have, that power fully reside with the NASS and the state house of Assembly.

What the President can do is work with the NASS to deliver on more resource control and other forms of fiscal restructuring.

The NASS will not even legislate on anything that involve opening up their budget, not to talk of scrapping themselves. It is not going to happen.

The APC presidential candidate noted that too much powers and resources have been lodged at the federal level since the inception of this country hence he plans to review the sharing formula.

He stated that the existing arrangement has been problematic because “state governments are closer to the people and must be more responsive to local needs and aspirations.”

Tinubu said, “his administration will embark on a review of the federation revenue allocation system to recalibrate the division of funds amongst the three tiers of Government: Federal, State and Local.

"More funds should be allocated to the States and Local Governments so that they can better address local concerns and fulfil their expanded constitutional obligations to the people,” he said.

Tinubu also disclosed that his government will work with the National Assembly to review the existing exclusive legislative list and give more responsibilities to states and local governments.

According to Tinubu, the focus areas of his government will include, crime prevention, prisons, stamp duties and certain forms of taxation.

The APC presidential candidate said the actions will “promote stronger governance at the state and local level, thus reducing political congestion and competition for resources at the federal level. The performance of federal, state and local governments shall improve while the people will benefit by having more political democracy and economic development more closely at hand.”

Most of these people dont even know what restructuring is, ask them what restructuring means and see the kind of shallow they will give you.

We havent been oppurtuned to have the presidential debate, hence my question to you being a known APC man, you are not compelled to engage, leave out or reserve the uncouth lingo for those who duel in such.

Tinubu's case is different, he will most likely turn Nigeria to his private Business like he did Lagos. Buhari did not impose any Candidate on Nigerians, he even allowed Saraki have his way as Senate President. Something Tinubu would never have allowed as President, he does not believe in people's right to freely chose who governs them. Plus his current health and Old Age will make him a liability to Nigeria....
Lmao. No wonder Tinubu candidate is the one ruling all the state in Nigeria.

Hogwash.

The most thrown around word is restructuring. What exactly are you restructuring?

No President even have the power to restructure anything, that power lies with the National Assembly.

From what I was able to gather, the marketers say its not from them. They said because NNPC is unable to distribute fuel to the various depot due to pipeline vandalism, some independent companies who own tank farms have to lift the petrol from NNPC and sell to marketers. They claim those ones are responsible for inflating the price.

They also said some very big marketers have their own tank farms or they can afford to buy in very large quantities from those who own tank farms hence the reason they can still sell at 180 naira.

Those of them who are small players don't have a choice. They claim they don't even get the fuel at 180 so they can't sell at 180.

NB: I have not verified any of these. Just putting out what I heard from the marketers. grin
This is an interesting perspective.

NNPC some days ago said they are able to distribute fuel across the country with their reserve for 34 days without issues.

This is just like the unadulterated fuel saga where some people fùcked the rest of the country with bad fuel and the govt lacked the balls to punish them.

Lack of consequences is what is emboldening these criminals in corporate wear.

When will you guys stop this blame game? Any system or policy that requires people to be of their best behavior to function has failed from the get-go. What is APC doing doing to make it impossible/discourage small-time marketers from jacking up the price?
Which blame game did you see in the post? If you cant read my post devoid of your tinted political bias, better skip my post when you see it.

If all the major marketers are selling at the govt approved price while the small-time marketers are behaving the way they like, it is up to the govt to whip them in line.

Please ooo... When did LGAs start having full autonomy?
Buhari signed Executive Order 10 for LG and Judiciary autonomy and the Govenors took the FG to court.

The National Assembly has passed the LG autonomy bill but because it's a constitutional amendment, it needs the concurrence of the State house of assemblies.

Currently 20 state house of Assembly has voted on the bill, 16 voted for and 4 voted against. The 4 that voted against are Lagos, Benue, Ekiti and Adamawa.

On the part of Lagos, they want the FG to recognize the 34 LCDA that was created so they can be funded directly.

Out of the 16 left to vote, 8 must vote for the bill for that part of the constitution to be changed.

All three major marketers like Oando, AP, Total, Bovas are still selling fuel 180.

It's the small chain marketers that are jacking up the price of fuel.
