raumdeuter: More Gegenpressing from Soludo
Chukwuma Soludo, governor of Anambra, says Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), will not win in the 2023 general election.
Soludo said this on Monday in an article titled ‘History Beckons and I Will Not Be Silent (Part 1)’.
“Let’s be clear: Peter Obi knows that he can’t and won’t win. He knows the game he is playing, and we know too; and he knows that we know,” the article reads in part.
“The game he is playing is the main reason he didn’t return to APGA. The brutal truth (and some will say, God forbid) is that there are two persons/parties seriously contesting for president: the rest is exciting drama!

Theflint1: I think we down South make too many assumptions about the North, preventing us from playing politics properly. The North is not one large monolith; just as we have our different tribes down South, there are also different tribes up North. States in the North Central part of the country cry of marginalization from the Hausa's/Fulani domiciled in the North West and North East. In fact, in Kaduna, a NW State, there's a very clear schism between the North and Southern parts of the state; how then do we say these people are one like you've said?
In the current democratic dispensation, the concept of the North being one is pretty recent because since 1999, we kicked these guys (NW/NE Nigeria) in the face election cycle after election cycle, allowing only Southerners or moderate Northerners like Yaradua have access to power, until Tinubu decided for whatever short-sighted reason to allow a feudalist in the person of Buhari access to power.
This 2023 election is them experimenting at proper NW/NE extremist dominance with the muslim/muslim ticket. You do know Shettima is not Fulani either is he Hausa. Hes a Kanuri. |

Theflint1: Well you have a point sha, but I think an Engineer would still have been ideal for that position, knowing whoever would have gotten the gig would most likely have administrative experience.
That said, there's been too many shit appointments by APC and PDP, all in a bid to reward party loyalty. Well the current minister for power Saleh Mamman is an Engr. All over the world, any party that wins election appoints their party members into positions. What we should be more concerned is if those appointed are competent or not. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 12:26pm On Nov 13, 2022 |
Theflint1: Think that's crazy, how about APC that made a lawyer minister of power? Well it can be argued that most of the power sector has been decentralized and the government is more or less a "regulator". It still make sense to have someone that knows the law and can drive policy to man the sector. But Engineering to Defence. Haba now |

Amoto94: Let's start with educational qualification Kwankwanso has PhD in Engineering to Tinubu's College Degree. He was once a Reps Member Tinubu has no experience in the lower Chamber Both were once Senators Two time Governors which is a tie here Served as Minister of Defence, he edges Tinubu out here again He is younger and agile. He edges Tinubu using the above metrics As for a Northerner succeeding another I don't dwell on identity politics they distract from main issues. But PDP dey craze sha. How did they make someone that has PhD in engineering minister of defence? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 10:26am On Nov 13, 2022 |
izzou: Wait naa Make we hear Amoto94 side first.
We will still get to the part of him saying Kwankwaso is most qualified.
That's when you come in Kwankwaso is competent and qualified no doubt but after 8yrs of a Northern rule, it's only sensible that power should shift back to the South. PDP is a disappointment but then from a purely political angle, Atiku was their best route to Presidency as none of PDP southern candidate can match Tinubu in the North. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by larride(m): 9:48am On Nov 13, 2022 |
izzou: You are saying Kwankwaso is more qualified than BAT?
A Northerner just finished 8 years. You have no problem if another Northerner rules for 8 years again? Atiku and Kwankwaso shouldn't be in the race tbh. If BAT wasn't in the same, I'll rather waste my vote on Obi or Sowore than vote Atiku or Kwankwaso. |

EmmanuelScott1: The insecurity in Anambra state is getting worst day by day.
Just now, unknown robbery gang robbed three filling station, a hotel And even snatched a car from somebody.
The disgusting thing about this robbery that happened now, they (the robbers) re driving their car freely shooting gun on the air, no security group appear to counter them.
Soludo is becoming more clueless. FG needs to wade into the issue as a matter of urgency. FG controls all the security architecture. Soludo needs to take a cue from Wike book, invite the army to clear all the criminals while the police mop them up. |
