eph12: The season we finished 2nd was a one off. It was obvious that we only got there because other top teams were flopping all over the place. Immediately they sat up we were back to where to 6th which was where we finished the previous season.
The Europa we won was only prioritized when he realized that he couldn't do anything in the league. It wasn't like in the beginning he made the decision to throw away the league and go after Europa league. Did he?
Lukaku played as the striker for most of last season especially when Mourinho was here. Rashford played from the wings. Still everyone took turns to troll Lukaku for his weight, first touch, misses, poor control, etc. And this same Lukaku was a success because he scored 15 goals playing as the main striker? Should Lindelof had scored more than him? Lukaku started just 12 games in the league last season while Rashford started 20. You can go figure who was the main striker. Ole signings has been superb and yet we are struggling to keep clean sheet. |

eph12: Which of these players can we count on now? Which of them could we count on while he was here before he was sacked?
It was said that he was requesting for new players when the ones he brought in has done nothing really worthy of note. Ibra lost a lot of chances that season, we ended up 6th in the league. Matic has never been a player you can count on through out a season. He was never for us. Pogba has always frustrated every united fan. Dalot we don't know his position. If you think Lukaku was a success good for you. Ibra lost a lot of chances and we finished 6th because Mou priorities the Europa league over fighting for top 4. That season we won the Europa league and Carling cup. Even Miki play better for us in the Europa league. The season we signed Matic and Lukaku we finished 2nd on the table with a goal difference of +41 with Lukaku being the club highest goal scorer. Last season was a bad season generally and yet Lukaku was still the club highest goal scorer. Maybe you need some perspective on how you rate flop or success. |

eph12: I remember that Mourinho was criticized because probably all the signings made during his time flopped. It's may be early but OGS signings have been impressive. Not totally true. Mou was criticized for his style of play majorly. Even when we were winning Lana and adisa were constantly criticizing him and don’t believe he’s the kind of manager we need. Now the players he signed: Zlatan - scored 27 goals in all competition and help us win the Europa, Carling and Community shield. Bailly - Was immense in his first season before injury started. Lindelof - Be the judge yourself. Pogba - Our most creative player. Blows on n off. Lukaku - Lukaku scored 27 goals in his first season, being our highest goal scorer for that season. We finished 2nd that season. Scored 15 goals last season, still our highest goal scorer. Matic - Immense the season we bought him, last season he became a liability due to loss of pace. Fred - Dont know where to place this one, I still believe he will come good. Dalot - Same as Fred. Sanchez - FLOP |

SIRcumalot: As long as Woodward is still allowed to make footballing decision nothing will change. We have close to five managers since baba Waka, even if by some really bad mojo they are all bad (which is impossible) why is the person doing the hiring still allowed to continue? Including Matt Judge. The fücker is the one responsible for contract negotiations and transfer negotiations since 2016. Total overhaul including the head of our scouting network Marcel Bout and Mick Court is needed. |

Lana1: So if OGS gets sacked who do we now hire to replace him?Coz i dont see any other high profile manager with experience that is available. Unless we want to go for another noob manager and go through all this process again. I sincerely don’t know. If you notice, I’m not 100% Ole out, though I believe he’s tactically not the kind of manager we need as his system thrive on spaces behind the opponent, nothing is wrong with counter attacking system but we need to be able to break opponent down when they sit back because 70% of the teams we will play will sit back and want to hit us on the counter. He need to find a way to do that. Most importantly, we need to get rid of these players, we need be sincere with ourselves, it has to come to a time when we accept those players we think will come good will amount to nothing with us and move on from there. OGS need to be sincere with himself and stop the favoritisms or else he will blame himself. We are no longer in the 90 and early 20s. I wish him well. |

Lana1: Lol. Question:
Should they make Ole Technical Director and sign Poch as manager?? Ten hang of Ajax maybe? I really do not fancy Poch especially against the top teams. His team selection is always awkward. |

Lana1: We had 8 shots on target today. Which is much better than what we've played so far this season. But as usual, poor quality killed us because we have a striker whose prick only gets hard when he sees a top 6 team. We have two number 10s that cant score, assist or create chances. We lack a natural RW. Our central midfielders only had 2 passes between them all game.
Ole has his problems no doubt but these players will be the end of all of us this season. I agree. |

Lana1: Tbh, you said it and everyone else also said it. But as the club no gree buy players nko? What do you want people to do? No amount of optimism or pessimism here will change anything over there.
Those running the club need to do better.
And for the record, i believe we are playing better. But poor quality in midfield and attack due to the same recurring problem every single year is what is letting us down. I do not believe we are playing better. Our play is still labored. We are finding it hard to create chances or break opponent down. To even string passes together seems like rocket science. While I believe Ole is not the manager we need, every manager needs quality player and less of favorites. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by larride(m): 3:05pm On Aug 31, 2019 |
Lana1: Yes o.
It's no surprise our best players so far have been the new signings. But Ole and Woodward thought we were good to go for this season. SMH. When I said it here that we will suffer this season by relying on this bunch of shite players, they say I am a pessimist. They say the players are good enough, they are now fitter and plays the way Ole want them too. They say he will use Yoot and Greenwood hasn’t play up to 50mins for football this season. There’s hope though, at least Chong was on the bench today. |
