Do they think the government will yield or give in to there request at this point? It better to demand what is attainable putting the economic situation of the country into consideration than asking outrageous amount which would not be met, even if it's been met today it might lead to owing of worker due to inadequate fund in the future. Nigerians brace up and request for what is fair and attainable.
