I believe this post is for Oga @adeneti

But just to chip in one or two things concerning the discussion so that people will not be misinformed. Although i also do business on Nairaland and I'm not trying to block anyone's business but it seems @adeneti is right.

Oga @Adedward, the truth is there is no way a 4x4 (1200mm x 1200mm) aluminium casement window using Original Tower materials will cost you 28,000 with installation. Attached is a waybill of materials I bought last year directly from Tower Aluminium and each unit of our 4x4 window cost us about 47,000 or so..

The purpose of this is to inform the people who don't know the difference between China (light and thick) profiles and Tower profile. If you quote 28,000 for a Client another contractor quotes 48,000 naira the client would think the other person is trying to cheat him.

All I'm saying is, be truthful with the material you want to use. There is nothing like "Tower standard". If you don't buy from Tower, it is not Tower.

This same thing happens in roofing. For example, Some people quote 0.45mm "Tower standard" for house owners for 1200 whereas Tower sells for about 1700 direct from the Factory. So how did they get their own for 1200? Some clients would even call me thief because they don't know the difference.

I've been doing business here for many years and One thing my clients know is you always get what is agreed on. So, Oga, try to make your advert very sincere.
Nawa ó, "Tower standards"

Consented, from quarry, let's say 30tons 90k. Transportation to those places will be up to 70k since most Quarries are outside Lagos

1) A Ditch is made round the borehole for casting of the legs
2) The leg is placed inside the ditch and properly levelled
3) The levelled leg is casted using granites, sand and cement.

After casting, it ll be allowed to stay for like 4 days to dry up before installation continues.

After the geophysical investigation, the best point is drilled. The drilling should be properly completed and flushed with compressor or pumped out with Ac pump. To make the water clean on time.

In constructing a handpump borehole, the first step as usual in any borehole drilling project is to conduct a geophysical survey first.

The geophysical investigation should be focused at getting a suitable point where good aquifer can be hit at a shallow or medium depth. Usually below 50m (165ft).

The installation should not go to a depth more than 30m (99ft) for it to be very effective with minimal jacking

Good morning, please I would like to know the implication of using a ring type of septic tank compared to the use of the common rectangular shape type. My engineer suggested I use two of the ring type to serve five toilets and soak away for the kitchen section only. What is your view of this?
It doesn't take longer time to filled up.

It is usually done where space and fund is not readily available for normal septic tank.

And also you don't need to dig a soak away for it as its done for normal septic tank

Good morning to you Sirs,
What could have been a cause for a well *conga* to get dry and solution to it.
Water table is low or you couldn't dig into the aquifer.
you can dig further, if you meet a basement rock on the way, that may pose a problem and waste of fund cos blasting might not give you what you want

......................................................

Question: Lagosians, You would agree with me that buying an affordable Land on Lagos mainland is becoming very tough!
In fact one cannot run away from BUYING SWAMP and worst is the SWAMP LAND doesn't come cheap (cheap is a relative term tho wink )

For some years now, we have been scouting for Landed properties within amuwo Odofin axis, satellite. And so far 100% of all the land we have been to has been Swamp, some disguised as Dry but its just Sand filled

I have gone through several threads where suggestions have been made how to build on a swamp, suggestions of a soil test, the need of a structural Engr and all that.

We have concluded that since all the land within this Amuwo odofin axis is Swamp/waterlogged, let's find out how much it would cost to get foundation before commiting any fund. The agents around says 3.5m can do a PILE FOUNDATION at these AMUWO ODOFIN axis For a ONE STOREY Building...

Please how feasible is this? can 3m or less erect a pile Foundation for a duplex at this area in Lagos?

Please pardon the long write up, the absence of a Dry affordable land in Lagos has made one to rethink building on swamp. Thanks as you drop your input.
This thinking is wowed. 3m should give you a good piled foundation for a duplex.
AgricultureRe: Which Do You Consider The Best Option For A Farm - Well Or Borehole? by Larwin(m): 12:43pm On Jul 22, 2018
@kunleweb

It depends on your fund and location.

If well is going to work fine, why not go for it. But you ve to consider if the well water can be drinkable for the farm workers and visitors. Also will the well water not be seasonal?

Well cannot attract unwanted visitors. What you can do is to channel a pipe out for the community use. You definitely ve to give back to the host community.
