We should attempt such wealth by solving fundamental economic problems.I expect man of his pedigree with such a resources to have come with a nongovernmental solution to power problem in this country if he is that proficient. We need to emulate guys like Mark and Gates of this world instead of running after political office. Hello. Oga, your feedback shows that you dont understand how the upstream oil sector is structured, and how projects are coated in the industry. Secondly, if you go through Makinde's assets declaration, he listed all his companies (about 5 or 6 of them) and the assets of these companies, in addition to his personal assets. If you strip his own personal assets away from the company's own, I believe his personal assets would be worth far less. I feel he declared both his personal assets and company's assets, to be on the safe side. Those companies have been in existence for at least 10 to 15 years. Some of their assets were acquired after making lease payments over several years, before finally completing the total cost. It would take a good financial analyst to break it down for you, and unfortunately I do not have the energy or time to do so. Finally you said that " I expect man of his pedigree with such a resources to have come with a nongovernmental solution to power problem in this country if he is that proficient...." Really? Who told you he did not try to, but his efforts were rejected by the govt in power? Why do you think he decided to seek political power in the end? He once spoke about decentralisation of power supply, using Turkey's example of setting up mini-IPP Grids to reduce electricity supply problems. What happened? That idea was ignored by govt at that time, over 6 years back. And he was called all sorts of uncomplimentary names.. |

Yet you claim igbos hate or are deceiving Yoruba Christians. You are a big liar. Come up with a better story.
The evidence on the ground says otherwise. Oga, the only Igbo churches that those Yoruba people do not attend, are the ones where the services are conducted in Igbo, because they don't understand the language. If you go to TREM which is owned by Bishop Mike Okonkwo, there are hundreds of Yoruba people who worship there, because the services are conducted in English. If you go to Lord's Chosen Charismatic Revival Church in Amuwo Odofin in Lagos, you will find many Yoruba people along with Igbo, Edo etc people attending their services. The owner is Rev Lazarus Muoka. Revival Assembly Church in Lagos, owned by Apostle Anselm Madubuko, has a large population of Yoruba worshippers as well as Igbo worshippers, followed by worshippers from the Niger-Delta. Few Northerners from the Middle Belt attend the church, too. Please visit these Igbo churches in the SW personally, before you rush to comment, so that people will not make fun of you.... |

I am Bill Gates delivered to computing industry, Ford did the same to automobile. Mark did his own to social media etc these are revolutionary brand which commands huge wealth. Oga, you are still missing the point. Makinde did not get any fictitious license, o. He does not own an oil well, neither does he drill for crude. So how has he destroyed the environment? He is just one of the major oil service providers to IOCs in the upstream oil industry. He is not the cause of poverty in your country, neither is he the antidote to it. If you are looking for the cause of poverty, kindly face those elected politicians who have plundered the nation's wealth over the past few decades, and have also made myopic policies to impoverish the citizens. The Shell companies, Total, Chevron, Unilever, Julius Berger etc, have made billions from this country. So why is this country still the poverty capital of the world, despite all their activities? Oga, calm down and do the research. Most jobs in the upstream oil industry, are denominated in dollars. Secondly, the materials, equipment, and resources are also done in USD, which runs into multiple figures. Convert that into naira, and see the figures jump up. Thirdly, his company holds the Nigerian and West African franchise for a number of significant equipment used in the oil industry. Let me give you a little example. Gas turbines cost a lot of money to import and install. A 65kw gas turbine can easily set you back by about 150,000 USD or more. If you hold the franchise for a good brand of these turbines, and you are able to sell and install about 10 units across West Africa per annum, do you know what kind of figures such a company would be recording in naira? Now, let us assume the firm makes a 20% commission on each turbine, isn't that a good healthy revenue at the end of the day? And this is just one of the multiple projects handled by the firm, o! |

grandstar: Trains and it's related infrastructure are very expensive to build. Nigeria's entire budget for the next 4 years is not sufficient to build trains to cover the entire country Also, the trains are being built using foreign borrowing. Worse, what the amounts that they charge commuters isn't enough to cover running costs that means government is heavily subsidising them. Rather than run a profit, they are making heavy losses.
That means the railways can not service the debt borrowed. The country is simply storing problems for the future. So because it is expensive to build and a lot of debt has been incurred, are you saying they should not build or finish the new rail line or put new coaches on the rail track? So passengers and commuters should continue suffering on that route, by using that old Lagos-Ibadan road that is always clogged with traffic? |

D long epistles are filled with questions which u couldn't answer. So u actually d one playing antics by trying to avoid answering d questions I asked u cos u no that d truth is in d questions I asked.
Aren't u trying to paint Johnson black without even hearing his side of d story? Once again ur double standards& subjectivity on display. If u can show where i casted aspersions, i would b most glad. There's a difference between "casting aspersions" & doing an analysis. What I did was analysis like its done in football. And my analysis were filled more with questions than comments so as to stir ur reasoning. But because ur emotions has beclouded ur sense of judgement, u aren't able to distinguishe between "casting aspersions" & analysis.

Nothing is clear in d lady's story. So far u haven't been able to tell me how u can grab a woman's breast in other to pin her down & still b able to blow her in d back at d same time. People should be able to see that a fight against a pastor is not the same as a fight against the church. Biodun stepping down should not amount to COZA crashing except if my fears are confirmed that COZA is all about Biodun and not Jesus.
A true Church should be able to hold firm if a pastor goes off the pulpit indefinitely. But many of these Pentecostal churches are all about their Daddy GOs and senior pastors.

British Calidornia to UK as a kid so I saw it all. First hand. I assure you that the first few months was because the airport was new. It immediately started detiorating. Nigeria airways initially was doing fine along with the first privately run international airline owned by chief victor Vanni until corruption and Nigerian mentality killed them all. Nigeria airways you will buy first class ticket on our 747 jets. The pilot will refuse you climbing upstairs to the first class because he has kept his girl friends there. You will book flight but on your return journey you will be stranded abroad because no money to fuel the aircraft. Passengers have to contribute. Nigeria airways officials will buy staff tickets for 5% the normal cost. Government officials will refuse to pay or delay flights as a big man is comming. Bros I saw it all personally. The rot in Nigeria Airways started during the 2nd Republic. Before that, Nigeria Airways was doing rather well. What happened after that? The politicians connived with some of the airline's unscrupulous staff, to mismanage the firm. Nigeria Airways took on the name in 1971 and once had 30 aircraft, including the best available aeroplanes at the time... A lot of the gossip that emanated from that era which you recycled here, were grossly exaggerated, and most of it took place during the 2nd Republic. I still recall family and friends travelling in 1992, on first class tickets via Nigeria Airways, and getting good seats, on a smooth flight. Nobody is denying that Nigeria Airways did not deteriorate, and ended up with huge debts before it was finally shut down, but at a certain period before things went downhill for the airline, it was run by professionals, during the era of Gowon up till when OBJ became military head of state. And it was profitable during that era. I still maintain that airports in many parts of the world are run by public officials, employed by govt. And their airports work! It is just our own people that have refused to do things properly. |

U are basing ur judgement on one person's side of d story when u haven't heard from d other person. So ur thunder will not fire anybody cos even u can't prove that d lady is actually telling d truth. So if u can't prove she is telling d truth, what will ur thunder do to u for supporting someone who accused another falsely of rape? So keep ur emotions to urself & present superior argument not emotional outburst You have written another long unecessary epistle to justify Johnson the attempted rapist! Ok, o! Me, I cannot pity any joker who assaults a woman. He got served the kind of punishment he deserved. Next time, he will think twice before embarking on that kind of salacious adventure. Oya, I am waiting for you to write another long epistle to defend your brother Johnson, who attempted to rape a helpless woman, after assaulting her ..... |

lexy2014: That's good. Which brings us to d question, at what speed was she able to do this? Was it at lightening speed when u consider that her mouth is up& d guys dick down below& that d guy was behind her? She was pinned down with d guy grabbing her breast (u still haven't told me were she was pinned down& in what position) & she was blown in her back.
This is what d lady said below. Compare it with what u said.
“Johnson insisted on having sex with me and when I refused, he hit me on my back, I was so pained that I bit his manhood. I didn’t mean to harm him,” she said."
Did u c anywhere she said that d guy magically appeared in her front making his dick available for her to bite off? Cos if I were to hit someone in d back, I believe d safest place for me to remain is behind d person not in front of d person until d person decides to turn& face me You are writing all these long epistles because you are so determined to support Johnson the rapist, and castigate the lady who is his victim. The accounts of how he assaulted the girl are clearly spelt out, yet you are ignoring it, in order to paint the lady black, for defending herself... continue. The thunder that will fire rape supporters like you is doing press up at Bar beach. |
