That was a myth peddled in the 90s, by some clueless health workers in this country, to reassure unwary patients.... You can only avoid the triggers, and this tends to minimise it's occurrence. Asthma that can even develop in adulthood. How do you outgrow it, if you develop it as an adult? |

Makon alone have branches in Texas, South Africa etc. I remember when he donated equipment worth millions of naira to electrical section in Unilag. The guy is a philanthropist.
In year 2012, he was the first person to buy two Capstone Turbines in Nigeria. He installed one in his lagos office and the second one in his village in Ajia ibadan to power the village. I was there that evening when the Turbine was commissioned. A woman said that was the first time he will see electric light in 30years. It is good to check his profile This is kind of people we should have in senate, house of assembly etc. If God can help makinde, he is capable of helping me too. His company also sells and installs gas turbines in different companies, in Nigeria. I know 3 companies in Port-harcourt that bought gas turbines from his firm and paid in USD. They also signed maintenance contracts, that spanned 3 years for each unit. |

CodeTemplar: You just said your own mind but eben at that I don't believe you.
No this is another probable scenario. Artificial intelligence is a relative new and evolving field and has been impacting all aspect of industries. It has been shown that AI can help to better monitor oil wells and improve the overall efficiency of these well over their lifetime. If you, Hedonini, have the required formula of AI to deliver this services to an oil well with enough reserve, Will you try to own an oil well as a solopreneuer or try to offer it to the oil wells owner?
The emphasis here is being in a vantage position to fulfill your potential of wealth creation. Be honest with this one when you finally reply.
Remember this trend is very common in STEM based career path. The big industries in this world depend on brains to run but those brains hardly try to stand on their own because the cost of competing with established brands is astronomical and the venture itself is risky. The part in bold type refers. You have said it all and you have said it well. The barriers to entry are high in many STEM circles, if you decide to take it on as an entrepreneur. Not only that, you need to be aware that technology changes very fast, in the world today. If you have a nice formula today that can earn you millions, bringing it to the market and making it commercially viable, takes a lot of time, energy, iteration, resources, testing etc. I can tell you that within 2-3 years of launching it into the market, another firm, or competitor or individual could develop something else, to rival your innovation. So many companies have folded up due to the use of technology which suddenly became obsolete, or the kind of tech that could not easily adapt to new changes which arose later, within the marketplace. |

Hedonini: So a person has this much potential, ability and skills, yet they are docile and diffident enough to remain mere salaried employees? If they're so sure of their special skills, why not use it as solopreneurs (if not outright entrepreneurs) to make the money on their own? Oga, not everybody is wired to be an entrepreneur. Some people are not good risk takers. And being a good entrepreneur requires you to have a certain appetite for risk taking. Some engineers can make a lot of money for their bosses or companies, simply by being good or adept on the field, when it comes to execution of plans, programmes and projects. And they are able to do it, because they have corporate support, tools and a solid internal infrastructure to back them up. Others are able to land huge contracts or generate sales for their companies, for the same reason - the presence of an existing skilled team that gives them high-level support, resources, and networks to land the deal. This does not mean that they would be able to replicate the same success in a different environment, where such structures or resources are lacking, if they decide to strike out on their own. |

The new owners of the flat will just end up getting rid of those things, after they buy up the apartment, because most of the time, those fittings do not conform to their taste. It is just a huge waste of money putting it in there, in the 1st place! |

This is totally unnecessary. So he only lost 30% of the respect he had with you? In my own eyes, he has lost 50% of the respect I used to give him. First of all, he should realise that Dino does not own the hearse. Secondly, the hearse belongs to the undertakers and it is only hired for a day. Thirdly, Dino despite his infantile antics is a bereaved man. You do not mock a man who is burying his dead, just because you want to trend or show off. Finally, there are more pressing issues in our country that deserve attention, not the private affairs of a man who is paying his last respects to his departed mother. |

Biodun556: A second look at Seyi Makinde asset declaration. Have you ever seen an asset declaration form? Are you aware that when you list your assets and the value of each asset, the authorities still have to locate each asset, physically verify it and assess its value, to ensure it is accurate after the form has been filed? This is the only way they can confirm that you have not undervalued your assets, or actually under declared what you are worth. So what on earth do you mean by " anticipatory looting," when only physical assets are expected to be listed in the asset declaration form, and those assets still have to undergo physical inspection by the authorities? |

It can only be a private nursery school. The Op should state the name of the school, location and local government. Why are you so sure that it is not Kogi? Do you know all schools within the length and breadth of the state? Kogi is one state where you can spend 6 hours driving up and down, and you have not even reached the end of your journey, within the borders of the same state. Even if it is a private school, is it supposed to be in such shambles? Aren't there educational standards that should be kept by private schools anymore? Aren't there relevant govt supervisors or educational authorities in Kogi ministry of education, that are expected to monitor them and ensure they conform to a set of approved standards? Can students learn any single thing under such inhumane conditions? |
