ikechu1278:Eeyah! This matter dey pain you too much! But you can lie, sha. And when you are not lying, you are busy exaggerating stories that you made up out of thin air. Check all my posts on NL. How many people have I claimed to know personally? Were they celebrities or politicians? List their names here. I have never claimed to know Obama's family, Mandela or Buhari's family etc. All that one is a huge figment of your imagination, and it underscores your propensity for exaggeration and falsehood. ![]() As for tribes, yes... I have relatives from different tribes. Again, I ask you, why is that so difficult for you to understand? And why do you find it so offensive?? Do you know how many different marriages occur among people from different ethnic groups in Nigeria?? So why does the scenario of having relatives from different parts of Nigeria, become a problem to you? Maka, why?? Na wah for you, o! For some folks, their parents come from the same village, it is their destiny. For others like us, our parents come from different ends of Nigeria, and so did our grandparents. It is the blessing of God, especially when the offspring of such union also grow up to marry outside their ethnic group. Don't burst a blood vessel on account of this issue o! Free your mind from hate. I am actually beginning to feel sorry for you because of the myopic hatred that has blinded your view! ![]() Listen, in the early days of my career I worked for a newspaper house for several months which also had a few other publications, under its belt. I have since moved on to other things. In the process, I got to meet a lot of people, including one of the Graham-Douglas daughters, as well as their cousin at an event we covered. I built a few friendships during that period. Two of my friends from school also worked for their family in Port-harcourt. So what makes you think that knowing a member of the Graham-Douglas family is an impossibility?? I don't get it o! And where did I ever claim that I knew the entire family?? Did I ever use the word 'entire'? Your hate is making you irrational. And you then claimed that I stay on NL 24x7. How is that possible?? Even if I do, is it your bandwidth that I use to log on to NL?? Chukwu biko! ikechu1278:Again you are digressing and digging yourself deeper into a hole. In Alabo Abiye's article, there was no mention made of a university library, o! And you are also contradicting yourself. You claimed "this is a house library, notice how it resembles a common library." Are you claiming that Graham-Douglas's library cannot be classified as a library, because it was a house library?? Or because it does not fit your ideology of what a library should be? Which one ?? The dictionary has already defined clearly what a library, is. But because that definition which is accepted worldwide, does not fit into your myopic view, you have decided to split hairs on the definition, by creating your own subjective classification, of what constitutes a library, and what does not. Okay, o. ![]() As for your assertion that you visited many homes of rich people and you could not find a library, I want to ask if you tried to find out from them if they even had one. How many rich homes did you even visit, by the way?? As I told you earlier, libraries are often found in the homes of the intelligentsia. These folks may not necessarily be rich. So this strange attribute of equating wealthy homes with the possession of libraries, cannot hold true 100%. And for the record, the contents of a home, are the reflection of the owner or resident's taste. Some folks like having a library, because they are avid readers. Others do not. From your assertion, it is obvious that you are clueless about a lot of things. So do not use the few homes you have visited, as a yardstick to judge the rest. ![]() ikechu1278:Wow!! You are frothing at the mouth over this issue of Col. Ojeh. And in order to prop up your weak assertions, you are displaying a lot of aggression. Take it easy, o! All your hypothetical questions simply point to the fact that your shortsighted perspective and warped mind, refuses to believe one Degema colonel who fought under the Biafran army committed atrocities in Rivers State, while wearing the Biafran uniform. What a pity. The Ijaw people are quite large, o. ![]() And your summations about Graham-Douglas' detention is still making me laugh. You had to reach into the realm of psychology to make your point. It still does not cover up the fact that you lied when you said 'eastern indigenous' folks burnt his property and books, when this assertion was not expressly stated anywhere. So stop running from pillar to post. Why would the eastern indigenous people harbour such animosity against Graham-Douglas? And what caused this animosity to grow, to the point where they had to burn down his houses and books? I asked you this same question previously, and you are yet to provide an answer. ![]() Renegade soldiers have been known to carry out acts of intimidation and violence while in uniform. Those who were tagged 'saboteurs' in those days were not attacked by the indigenous community, their punishment was often meted out by the soldiers after the civilians had pointed out, who they felt was a 'saboteur.' So the fact that Graham-Douglas was placed under protective custody by the brother-in-law of Nwanodi, does not mean that some disgruntled elements among the Biafran rank and file, who were unable to openly show their hostility against Graham-Douglas due to the fear of their superiors, could not have done some damage to his properties, using other means. However, I will not pass this off as the gospel truth like you have been doing with your own subjective thoughts, because the jury is still out on those who destroyed Graham-Douglas' library. ![]() How come none of the eastern indigenous people that you want us to believe launched the attacks against Graham-Douglas' property, were ever arrested and brought to justice in Biafra?? If you know of any, please state them here. Don't get worked up or launch ad hominem attacks - just state the facts. As for the your query on why the government has been unable to provide verifiable proof of atrocities committed by the Biafran soldiers, don't forget that Gowon's policy of 'No victor, No vanquished' was instituted to do two things: (a) bring the Biafrans back into the Nigerian society without reprisals, (b) prevent any further discussions or reports about the war on the Nigerian side, in order not to let the wounds of the civil war fester, so that people can heal quickly. Even Ogbemudia did the same thing, when he refused to publish the report of the Justice Omo-Eboh Tribunal of Inquiry into Rebel Activities, in the old Mid-West region. ![]() But now, a lot of water has passed under the bridge and people are beginning to talk about what transpired during the war. Afterall, it took Alabi-Isama almost 40 years to publish his own account of the war titled 'The Tragedy of Victory." Others can still publish their own war experiences tomorrow once they have the chance. Didn't Achebe write "There was a country" which contained his memoirs about the war, over 40 years after the civil war ended? What I have noticed is that each time the minorities from the East, or non-Igbo from the old Mid-West, attempt to talk about their own war experiences, it gets dismissed out of hand by the pro-Biafra group, or they are derided as being 'unsubstantiated.' It is similar to what you have been doing on this thread. ![]() Now if you can read all what has been stated here with an open mind, then it would help to cure the myopia that has blinded you. I am not a fan of long epistles. So, if you must reply kindly keep it short. And oh yes... kindly lose the anger and get rid of the aggression. Next time you are tempted to lash out in a wave of fury, please remember the words of Abraham J. Heschel: "In a controversy, the instant we feel anger, we have already ceased striving for truth, and have begun striving for ourselves." Your post is a perfect example in this regard. |
IGBOPRINCE:Na wetin?? Kèdụ ife ị nà-aghò ̣ebe afù? Am suspicious of the way you are calling my name, o! ![]() Anyway sha, how body? |
meziedc:Thanks for showing us how shallow your brain is. So you are now God who can foretell eternity, by claiming that: "that in a billion years to come the black race will never come across an idol like him." Abeg, swerve! ![]() |
Truckpusher:God bless you for speaking your mind, jare! If God wanted all of us to think alike, He would have created clones. As long as your opinion is not hate-filled or negatively impacting anyone, or destructive to anyone's well-being, please feel free to offer it. ![]() |
ikechu1278:Hahaha! You are too pathetic for words. You are the one trying to save face by being aggressive, and spewing out 4-letter words and insults in every other line. The Graham-Douglas' family are human beings. They do not live on the moon, or in outer space. They have family, friends and acquaintances, so it is not impossible that someone would know them. Not everyone is as clannish as you. I know people from different parts of this country and I also have family from different ethnic groups. If you bet your life's savings, you would lose! Quit being daft. Go and hug a transformer, if it does not please you! ![]() ikechu1278:Continue swearing. In your small myopic mind, you fail to realise that people can have offices in their homes or entire rooms where they stack books, journals and documents, which invariably becomes a library. You are still looking for a separate edifice like the type that exists in a university, despite the fact that a clear definition of what constitutes a library has been given to you. The Mirriam-Webster Dictionary defined it as 'a collection of books, or a room in which books are kept.' So the dictionary is wrong, abi? You still cannot accept the truth. What a pity. Home libraries exists in Nigeria, and have been in existence for ages among the intelligentsia. Go to a lot of universities. You will find many professors who live on campus, have a room that has been turned into a library in their homes. Oh, I forgot that you grew up in a village where such things were unknown. If it was an Igbo man whose books were burnt, you would have readily accepted this fact without question. How pathetic. ikechu1278:You were called out on your lies, and in trying to justify that lie you are digging yourself deeper into a pit. ![]() Your last post emphatically stated that the expatriate lady whose comments I quoted, noted that Graham-Douglas' house and books were burnt by 'eastern indigenous'. A fact that was NOT recorded in her interview, since there was no mention of the perpetrators. When it was brought to your attention, you did a U-turn claiming that since the Biafran soldiers were guarding Graham-Douglas and her husband on the orders of Aguma, the culprits were the 'eastern indigenous.' You were even the one who brought Aguma into the conversation in your last post, and ended up focusing on what he did. So why are you now claiming that you did not focus on Aguma? Receive sense, I beg. The fact that Biafran soldiers were protecting Graham-Douglas, Nwanodi and others does not automatically mean it was the eastern indigenous people who burnt their houses, simply because it was not stated in that interview! Your conjecture is appalling! Ok, if you still insist they were the ones, then why would they burn up their houses, when they were under protective custody? They were under the protection of the state. And like I asked you before, were the poor minorities, common man and masses in Biafra who did not agree with Biafra ideology, given such protection during the civil war? Am still waiting for an answer. ikechu1278:Again I repeat, you are so deluded, it is pathetic! Nobody mentioned that Degema was an Igbo town. Not Alabo Abiye, not me. The point being made by Alabo, was that the Col. Ojeh was acting as a Biafran soldier, not as an Igbo soldier. He could have been so intoxicated by power or indoctrinated by the prevailing ideology of the day, that he saw any dissent from any quarters (even if it came from his own tribe), as something to be ruthlessly dealt with. All the Rivers people that wrote on the war, were they up to 20 people? Did they all come from the same communities?? Was the war fought by the same set of individuals in each territory or sector? Was it the same battalion or platoon that went into each different community in the present Rivers State? So why would a Col. Ojeh feature in all the books by those Rivers people? As for reaching out to an NL member to verify if a Col. Ojeh existed, I laughed when I read that one. How old is this NL member, that you are reaching out to? Does he know every single person in Degema? Even on my street, I don't know everyone, so how can one NL member know everyone that comes from his ethnic group, and be sufficiently bold enough to vouch for the identity of this Col. Ojeh? As for the Asaba massacre, it was a project by some folks from that area who went into the past to record eye-witness accounts from survivors, and also went into the archives to unearth the documents, that brought all those atrocities to light. If the non-Igbo minorities decide to organise themselves, document eye-witness accounts from survivors, and conduct the same kind of research on what transpired during the war in their communities, just as the Asaba project did, the findings would shock a lot of people. ![]() You are so determined not to see the truth, even if it came and hit you right in the face. Oya, continue belly aching. When you are done, take a dive into the nearest river, if my response does not please you. |
ikechu1278:Eziokwu!! Why are you spewing insults simply because you cannot accept the truth??! Yes, I know a few members of the Graham-Douglas family. Why does that offend you?? Is it a crime to know them?? Are they not human beings?? I did not know the man himself but I know his daughter and grand-daughter, as well as a cousin of theirs'. Tell me, how many people have I said that I know, and why does that fact send you into a rage?? ![]() In your last post before this one, you claimed Graham-Douglas's library was never burnt because he did not make reference to it in his book. I cited an interview with Judy Nwanodi the expatriate wife of an Easterner who was resident in Port-Harcourt during the civil war, and witnessed the fact that Graham-Douglas' house and books were burnt. She never even quantified the number of books! So where did you see the word 'few'? I fit borrow you my contact lens, o! What is a library? The Mirriam-Webster Dictionary defines it as; librarySo in your view, a house cannot contain a library? Going by this definition, you are dead wrong! And Judy Nwanodi never made reference to who burnt Graham-Douglas' books - whether they were the eastern indigenous people or soldiers!! So why are telling lies, here? Where exactly did she mention 'eastern indigenous' to use your own words?? Ok, if you insist it was the eastern indigenous people who burnt Graham-Douglas's property, on whose orders did they do it? You cannot even fully exempt the soldiers from this scenario, as it has not been proven that it was done by the indigenous people. And you are here launching an attack online, using falsehood??! Chai! Yes, she mentioned the fact that her husband and Graham-Douglas were detained by Aguma who was her late husband's brother-in-law, for their protection, and so what?? Was this thread about Aguma, or what he did and did not do?? Was my post about Aguma or Graham-Douglas, so what is my business with Aguma and why are you making him the focus of your response in this post, when the issue is about Graham Douglas?? Are you for real?? In what way did Judy Nwanodi's interview disprove the article written by Alabo Abiye? Was it because Aguma offered protection to Graham-Douglas, that you felt it exonerates Ojukwu from the rumour making the rounds that Graham-Douglas was slated for assassination? Can you say for a fact that the detention was not part of Ojukwu's plan to deal with him at a later date? Was the same protection offered to the poor masses, common man, and displaced minorities who did not agree with Biafran ideology? Kindly let us know. ![]() As for Col. Ojeh, you are the one trying to play smart, thinking everyone is as dumb as you are. Is it every single soldier that committed atrocities in the war, that is known to all and sundry?? Many of the minorities who suffered during the war, are yet to tell their stories either because of the trauma or deep-seated pain they went through. People process grief in different ways. Your fellow NL member who disclaimed Col. Ojeh was your first sole authority on the Degema soldier. Now, you have turned round to claim, "going by every war history worldwide known to men, individuals that did such atrocity are well known, well discussed and well written about. " What a strange sense of reasoning. Like I said earlier, majority of minorities have not written about their suffering during the war. When they eventually do so, the revelations would be shocking. If you had produced the entire list of officers who served in the Biafran army and his name was not included, then you would have had a valid point! ![]() If it was an Igbo community that said a federal soldier committed atrocities against their community, you would never have said such a soldier did not exist because third parties did not mention his name in their books or articles. Please get real and stop playing to the gallery. ![]() |
MrPresident1:Guy, if you say the Igbo and Yoruba are the same spiritually because of their Christian beliefs, then it means the Yoruba are also spiritually the same with any Sayyawa, Kanuri, Bachama or Fulani who believes in our Lord Jesus, accepts His redemptive work and obeys His commandments, by living his life according to Christian tenets! There are Fulani Christians o, but very few.Do you have any idea what Northern Christians in the far north go through, in order to practise their faith?? Are you aware that the pentecostal churches in Sokoto are located outside the town?? Am going to stop here as I do not want to turn this into a religious thread. So, please do not generalise about the Yoruba and igbo being the same spiritually, if you cannot extend your definition to cover other ethnic groups, using your biblical criteria! ![]() |
MrPresident1:Guy, I was enjoying your post until I got to this part where you said: "the Yorubas and the Igbos are essentially the same people spiritually, both are however presently dislocated from spiritual heritage, we both came from the same source." Haba! In what way? ![]() How can Yoruba and Igbo be the same spiritually?? No talk am again, o! I have plenty of Yoruba and Igbo friends that will vex if they read this one. ![]() And if you say the Yoruba have no concord with the Fulani, then it means you have not been to Ilorin or the Middle belt where some minority Yorubas reside. Many of them have intermarried with the Fulani, that they now have a clearly defined culture of their own that is a mixture of both tribes. It is not unusual to find some Ilorin indigenes that speak both Yoruba and Fulfulde.Guy, take am easy o.... this your analysis no just jell at all. ![]() |
@ Ayobabas, Abikubu, Wale6run, PenSniper, you guys should realise that the person you are exchanging words with, has a mental problem that defies any solution. Please ignore him. His modus operandi to insult, vilify and pour vitriol on anyone who does not share his view, as if God did not give all men freedom of choice. He always derails any thread he gets into, with his insults and cut & paste propaganda. This thread was getting really interesting with people either confirming or debunking the myths that have been held concerning non-Igbo minorities in the east, during the civil war. Now what has happened? It has been derailed and the search to unearth the truth has been compromised. Just pray for him because he needs spiritual deliverance from the psychosis that has taken hold of his mind. |
Ojukwu got all his properties and his father's properties back, all over the country when he was pardoned and brought back to Nigeria in 1982. It was Shehu Shagari's government that pardoned him and gave him his properties back, and that was why he joined the National Party of Nigeria (NPN) in the eighties. |
ikechu1278:I know about the burning of Chief Nabo Bekinbo Graham-Douglas' library, because I know members of his family. And till today, his descendants still make reference to it. Chief Nabo Graham-Douglas, was a Kalabari man, who declined the offer to be the Attorney General of Biafra, shortly after he had been serving as the Attorney General of the defunct Eastern Region. Graham-Douglas was later appointed the Attorney General of Nigeria, at the start of the civil war! ![]() This made the Biafrans label him as a saboteur, because they felt upset that he declined to serve in Ojukwu's Biafran government, but later went on to accept a position in Gowon's cabinet. As a result, his properties in the East were targeted. ![]() I have not read Chief Nabo Bekinbo Graham-Douglas's book in full, but I have come across a few people who actually summarised excerpts from his book. Two scholars Kingdom E. Orji PhD & N-Ue, Uebari Samuel of the University of Port-Harcourt, made reference to his book in their paper titled Nigerian Civil War and Refugee Crisis: The Fate of the Minorities in the Former Eastern Region which was published in the IOSR Journal Of Humanities And Social Science (IOSR-JHSS) Volume 16, Issue 2, PP 45-57, e-ISSN: 2279-0837, p-ISSN: 2279-0845: .....Nabo B. Graham-Douglas in his work: Ojukwu‟s Rebellion and World Opinion captures this prism when he undermined the case of united Biafra and asserted the autonomy and desire of the ethnic minorities in Eastern Nigeria to remain within United Nigeria, where they felt they would be able to realize their legitimate aspirations rather than stay in Biafra, where their land would be regarded as a natural lebensraum by the much more numerous Igbo whose treatment of the minorities in the past and even during the war, had left much to be desired (Cited in Osuntoku, 1989:88-89) http://www.iosrjournals.org/iosr-jhss/papers/Vol16-issue2/F01624557.pdf?id=7785In an interview granted to The Nation newspapers, dated October 12th 2011, Judy Nwanodi, the 76 year old expatriate wife of the late Chief Nwobike Nwanodi, recalls that the houses of the late Chief Nabo Graham-Douglas was ransacked and burnt in Port-harcourt during the war. She also states that their legal books were taken out and burnt and Graham-Douglas refused to rebuild the house after the war. The house is said to still be located on I.B Johnson Street in Port-harcourt. It is on page 30 of the publication. If you have access to ISSUU, then you can read the rest of the interview here:http://issuu.com/thenation/docs/0ctober_12__2011/30 Also after the pogrom in the North against the Easterners in the sixties, there were reprisal attacks against Northerners living in Igbo land, which were carried out by the Easterners themselves. With regards to Col. Ojeh, so you believe the NL member who mentioned that Col. Ojeh does not exist in Degema is the sole authority on the civil war for you?? How funny! You need to consult widely. This is a country of over 150 million people, and the people of Degema and Abonemma exceed 2 million. Like I asked you before, "do you know the names of every single officer that enlisted in the Biafran army, or served with them from 1967 - 1970?? Why are you then doubting if the man existed?? " ![]() |
ikechu1278:If you read the book, then paraphrase it here or provide a short summary. I don't see why you need to insert four letter words into your speech. ![]() As for Graham-Douglas's library being burnt, it was a well known fact by his friends and clients. Who knows why he didn't write about it? I merely suggested it was a painful experience for him, but to you it is B.S. Okay o, Mr. B.S, since you know him better than others, tell us why he didn't mention the destruction of his library in his book despite the fact, that it happened! As for your comments about Col. Ojeh, do you know the names of every single officer that enlisted in the Biafran army, or served with them from 1967 - 1970?? Why are you then doubting if the man existed?? |
lygn19:If you ask nicely, then I will translate. And yes, this is Onitsha / Asaba dialect. |
adeitoro:Who is Ifeanyi? What are you calling him to come and see? Your spelling of words in Igbo is atrocious, so you had better go and learn how to write properly, before asking people to tell you the meaning of what you have written. Kà ọ dịzịa nọòf̣ụ. Oya, mèe yā ǹnwọò run back to Google translate with your sorry ass in order to decode what I have just put down here. |
lygn19:Onye àbànì ḍì ẹgwù! Onye nzuzu! Jèe zùlụ ikē! The disease worrying you is a spiritual one. Go for deliverance. |
lygn19:Hmmn, the curse has started manifesting on you!! |
theDEVILisHERE:May that war you mentioned locate you first, and your people. And since you mentioned the word 'slave camp', I guess you are currently residing in one, and what does that make you? A slave. |
theDEVILisHERE:And may those passports continue to get them in trouble, as long as they keep disturbing the peace of Nigeria. |
lygn19:Am NOT from Edo, but I have relatives married to Edo people. So all your own curses are upon your head and will never leave you! You are so cursed, that anything you lay hands on will turn into a problem for you.And those curses will not only continue to land on your head ten million times over, but it will make its way down into your generation, descendants and lineage, from the minute you read this post! Anuofia. ![]() May you never do well in this lifetime and the next. You will forever be miserable with the hate and lies you keep recycling here, if you do not provide proof to show Laudate is from Edo. You lousy ajō ̣mmadù . |
thegov:Hmmn, answers to these questions depend on a lot of variables: 1 what is average cost of space in petrol station - It depends on that specific petrol station. You need to discuss with the owner. 2 how long will take for the installation - Ask Johnstin. I think he said 10 days? 3 the require strength of staff need for a plant in a petrol station - Just 2 people for a mini skid. As your operations go bigger, employ more staff. 4 how can l sale sale to small retailers and what cost will l be buying the gas - To sell to small retailers, you need to approach them directly and market your services to them. The cost of the gas varies from one depot to the other. In Lagos, you need to contact NAVGAS, NIPCO or PPMC depot, to find out their prices. Sometimes, only one of the depots have gas. At other times, all 3 depots have gas. TOTAL depot and OANDO depot in Apapa also stock gas, but their prices are usually slightly higher than others. |
johnstin: laudate:Hi, still waiting for an answer. Would appreciate your prompt response on this issue. |
Swissheart:Even many Lekki communities no get light! Festac too, na di same thing - epileptic. |
adeitoro:Efulefu, when and where did I use Google translator?? If you speak Igbo properly, you would understand exactly what I wrote here. For you to have mentioned Google translator, it shows you are grossly deficient in the language and you need the application to decode what has been written here. You are a typical ekwensu. Oya, go back to google translator to check the meaning of that word! ![]() |
Kulas:What did he steal from you?? |
Delafruita:Who called the letter a petition?? ![]() |
lygn19:And I will repeat it again, may Chukwu Okike deal with you severely and make your life hell, if you continue to spew out such stupid lies about me! Idiiot! I make comments on issues that I have information about, either becuase I want to set the record straight or I just want to make my views known. Since when has that become a crime on NL?? If you do not want non-Igbos to pass comments about your affairs, then post your comments on a Biafra-related website. If you have a problem with atbu1983, why not face him directly? Lousy, misguided fool like you! Your stupidity quotient continues to rise by the day! Who are my kinsmen?? If you do not provide proof here, may it never be well with you! |
lygn19:Last time, your brothers called me Yoruba, for disagreeing with them. In their stupidity, they failed to realise there are 150 other ethnic groups in Nigeria. Today, you are calling me an edo thief. I mèlù ̣ya n’efù. Simply because I commented on a few threads pertaining to Edo people, and since then your shallow brain has jumped to the false conclusion that Laudate is Edo. May Chukwu Okike twist your mouth, and strike you with an incurable sickness, if you do not provide documentary verifiable evidence to show that Laudate is Edo. Anuofia! Onye efulefu like you! ![]() And you went further to write an epistle about what Edo people were said to have done, or did not do, after jumping to a false stupid conclusion about where Laudate comes from. Where did I ever write about a break up or say it ..."is because they want to steal Niger delta oil??" to use your own misguided words? Must you tell such bare-faced lies?? O ̣bù ̣ala? In the past I would even have tried to be rational by offering an explanation. But today, I cannot be bothered. May God punish you without ceasing, you idiiot! ![]() |
ekenedegreat:Which bro, are you talking about?? This guy registered on the 22nd of October just to make this single post, and has not shown his cowardly deceitful face again, since then. And you are calling him bros, without checking if he is actually telling the truth, or if he is lying. Or are you part of his Umu nna? |
ikechu1278:Have you read Chief Nabo Graham-Douglas's book from cover to cover? Or have you seen any extensive review of the book online? Kindly post the URL here. It is possible that Graham-Douglas did not want to talk about the burning of his office and law library, because the memories were too painful for him to recite, or to dwell upon. This does not negate the fact that it happened! If someone quoted just an excerpt from a page in that book, does it mean that the rest of the pages in that book do not contain anything pertaining to what Alabo Abiye wrote about?? Alabo Abiye did not claim that Col Ojeh of Degema was Igbo. There is nowhere in his write up where he classifies the man as an indigene of that tribe. Rather he notes that the man hailed from Degema, and he was a Biafran soldier! He was reported to have committed those atrocities as a Biafran soldier, not that he was an Igbo. Why do folks like you keep trivialising the pain of non-Igbo minorities?? Atrocities were committed by soldiers on both sides (i.e. both the federal soldiers and the Biafran soldiers). War is evil and it breeds casualties. Deal with it! |
