ROFLMAO!! I beg re-post this thread in the Careers/ Job Vacancies section. |
QatarPlayboy:Guy, na wah for you, oh! You are just focusing on different inner-city roads, but the major Benin-Auchi trunk road, you have refused to even see his shortcomings concerning that issue. With respect to the 300,000 jobs he promised, it was Oshiomhole himself that said it on TV, radio and newspapers. Are you telling us that the media lied against him? With respect to the moribund state-owned industries, you have not been able to document any well-researched facts, to counter the comments made by posters on this thread. Guy, abeg swerve! Come back when Oshimhole decides to address each of these issues. ![]() |
honeychild:LWKMD!! Chai! Babe, you dey wicked, o! |
QatarPlayboy:In what way have I made another man's state my prob?? Can you even see your pattern of thinking? I go through Benin regularly. I have businesses that I handle there. I have some relatives who even work there. Are you saying that as a Nigerian, I have no right to pass a comment on what happens in Edo State, because it is not my state?? If Onolememen is Oshiomhole's problem, what stops Oshiomhole from dragging him to ICPC or EFCC or the courts along with those other 5 companies he awarded contracts to, but failed to perform?? Or couldn't he have taken his case to the public domain and made noise about it, so that GEJ and the others would have intervened to get Onolememen to either fix the road, concession it, or refund the money the state govt spends on fixing the road, if the fed govt is unable to fix it? He knows how to make noise about Okonjo-Iweala, and how America gave submitted a list of corrupt people in Nigeria. He should apply his peculiar talent in this area, to getting the federal roads fixed. Chikena! Did Fashola not fix Ozumba Mbadiwe in Victoria Island which was a federal road, and then placed a toll-gate at the end of Ozumba just at the beginning of Lekki-Epe expressway which is a state-govt road, in order to recoup the money spent on fixing that road?? Why is Oshiomhole suddenly becoming loquacious now, yet he was not as vocal when Onolememen was refusing to fix Benin-Auchi road?? ![]() I repeat: Let Oshiomhole find a way to fix the Benin-Auchi road, and get his refund. Let him also sell off state govt shares by getting investors to resurrect the moribund state-owned firms, and let him create the 300,000 jobs he promised. Is that too much to ask?? ![]() |
SupremeXYZ:In what way?? |
muzzol:Guy, please remove Clark from that equation. The lady he married was already a medical doctor, who had been divorced from her former husband with two children. Unfortunately, she lost those children in an accident. May God rest their souls. |
QatarPlayboy:Is there a problem with you? Must you resort to insults to get your points across? Where is the trash in my post? If you feel you have a superior line of argument state it clearly, without any insults, because if I choose to respond to you in the same manner you started your post, you will be the worse for it. For your information, I visit Benin regularly o! So I am not a stranger to the place. What do you find so offensive about asking the state govt to fix a dilapidated federal govt road?? Other states, where the governors repaired federal roads, did they tell you that they did not write to the Minister of Works to fix their roads, in the first instance? Was it not when they did not receive any response, and the roads were turning into death traps that those state governors, embarked on the reconstruction and repairs, by themselves?? ![]() What has Osiomhole gone through on seeking govt attention to repair federal roads, that Fashola did not go through? ![]() Did it stop Fashola from grabbing the bull by the horns and executing the task, when they saw that fed govt was not going to come to their aid? Don't forget that for more than 2 years, Fashola was starved of federal govt allocation because he created additional LCDAs out of the existing LG areas, in defiance to fed govt directives. ![]() Let Oshiomhole fix the Benin-Auchi road and get his refund. Let him also sell off state govt shares by getting investors to resurrect the moribund state-owned firms, and let him create the 300,000 jobs he promised. Is that too much to ask?? |
bokohalal:Guy, everyone on this thread can see that the only bozo here, is you!! Yes, there are federal roads in Lagos that the state govt would not look at. But most of the Trunk A roads in the state connecting major districts, have been fixed by the Lagos state govt. If a major road causes residents to spend upward of 3 hours in traffic, in a way that hampers economic productivity within the state, and represents a major source of accidents that can claim the life of many citizens, it would be irresponsible for the state govt to look the other way, simply because the federal govt has not gotten its acts together to fix that road. ![]() So, if it takes 6 years for the federal govt to fix its own roads within a state, should the state govt turn its back on the sufferings its commuters go through on that road?? That is one area that Fashola and his team recorded significant progress. They also fixed state-govt owned roads and installed toll gates to recoup the cost from the road users. ![]() |
48noble:Guy, take am easy and stop repeating Sanusi's words like a parrot. He has 3 wives already, with a large number of sons and daughters. Why does he need a 4th one? Am not convinced about all that story he has concocted up here. He does not have to marry the girl to establish links or friendship with Adamawa kingdom. His unmarried, single sons can grow up to do that on his behalf. Look at him still talking about marrying a princess who will give birth to princes, at his age which is over 50! All the pikin wey im get, never reach??! Chai!! |
To tell the truth, the OP BolaAdeyemo sounds like a very strange guy. Cooking is both a skill and an art. Those who know how to cook, and those who lack culinary skills, exist in each and every single tribe. His points would have made sense, if he was comparing food from two different cafeteria which exist side by side, which are owned by people from different ethnic groups (i.e. Yoruba and Igbo). If an Igbo woman who does not know how to cook, decides to prepare a meal for you, two things will happen. You will either vomit, or complain. The same goes for food prepared by any woman from any other ethnic group, who is not gifted in the kitchen. I have eaten different dishes from various parts of Nigeria, and quite frankly, I have enjoyed most of them. ![]() I really can't say which one I have enjoyed more. So this argument basically is pointless to me. Just my 2 cents. |
dialfa:Guy, when are you going to carry out the assignment I gave you??! ![]() |
bokohalal:Ok, now I get your reasoning. The federal roads should be left in its deplorable state, so that it can continue to claim the lives of unwary travellers, as well as the time of those who spend hours navigating the craters on it, simply because it would take the state govt a long period to get a refund of the money it has used to fix it! ![]() Erha me!! |
bokohalal:Is there a law that says a state government cannot repair a federal road? How many federal roads did Fashola repair in Lagos, on which he later turned round to collect a refund? Others should copy his example. Repair the road, and collect your refund. |
oshiosense:Why the name-calling??! Did I ask you if Oshiomhole set up any industry or company in Edo state?? You must be the real ignoramus, here o! For your information, this is what Oshiomhole himself promised residents of Edo State last year! Edo to cultivate 300,000 hectares of farmland by 2016 |
oshiosense:I am not an Edo man, so please do NOT reach for the tribalistic handle. ![]() I have friends and relatives that simply live there, who can easily verify these claims. You stated that Edo Cement was sold to BUA, but your recent comments present a different picture from your previous post. Instead of letting people know that BUA upgraded and extended the existing facilities at the old Edo/Bendel Cement Company in Okpella, you made it seem as if BUA was setting up a totally different company, altogether! As for the fertiliser company Dangote is setting up, don't worry people shall inspect and verify your claims as that project has been on-going since 2012. Now, which one is the 3rd company?? |
bokohalal:Guy, your question is rather funny. Someone said 3 big companies are opening up in Edo State. I asked for proof. Instead of letting that person respond to my enquiry, you have butted in with a question that is totally unrelated to the previous enquiry that was made. ![]() What exactly is your point?? ![]() |
oshiosense:3 new companies, ke?? Where dem dey? Oya, post pictures of each of these sites, highlight current on-going works at each stage, so that we can read, inspect and verify progress of works, at each location. ![]() Your rhetoric is rather baffling! Even last year, the Azura Power Plant site which was done with a lot of fanfare, whose siting in Edo had nothing to do with Oshiomhole, is yet to kick off till now. There are too many promises, and too little action! ![]() |
kaycid77:Guy, but these pictures you posted are pics of Yoruba food that they used to serve us, when I was in school in the South West. Is that not 'eba,' over there? And I can see 'efo riro', ponmo, bokoto, eja osan, panla, eja aro, and other Yoruba stuff etc, inside that plate in another picture, there... Guy, why you dey fall my hand now..?? ![]() If you had posted picture of 'white soup', we for understand... ![]() Oya, this your assignment never finish... go and post pictures of 'ikokore', with pics of bush meat and pounded yam - the type you find in Ekiti, that makes people belch in satisfaction...post them all here!! Chai! I miss my Yoruba friends who used to carry me to different bukas in Lagos! When you have done that, then go and find photos of 'edi kaikong,' and other Efik foods and post them here to complete the picture. Then let viewers be the judge! |
kaycid77:A lot of Nigerians also eat Chinese Food. So are the Chinese taking over Nigeria?? Just asking! ![]() |
Mortiple:So the Igbo do not mock other tribes, or make jest of them? Is that what you are saying, or what you want us to believe?? ![]() In your view the Igbo should not be mocked, but they are free to mock others, right?? Have you gone through most of the Biafra-related topics in the politics section?? Even those that have nothing to do with other tribes, are thrown into a free-for-all wrestling match by the time the pro-Biafra internet e-warriors enter the thread, and begin to unleash their venom against other ethnic groups. As for what qualifies anyone for a ban, please read the posting rules. Most people ignore them, while the moderators too prefer to look the other way when such rules are flouted. kenconsult:Chat you up, ke?? When?? I don't get it, oh! |
osemwengie1:This is the best comment I have read on NL, this month!! ![]() |
Guy, I tire for Oshiomhole matter, o! If he is not accusing Okonjo-Iweala who has moved on with her life, he is busy alleging that America gave him a list of fraudulent people! Imagine! Na the Edo Line matter pain me pass. I know how many times some of my relatives passing through Edo state, used to shuttle between Lagos and Benin, using Edo Line because of their good safety record. By now, Edo Line should have graduated to deploying luxury buses in its fleet, traversing the whole of the different parts of Nigeria. But what do they have on ground, now??! ![]() |
Yeah, what is the update on the UN invitation?? Updates, anyone?? ![]() |
My brother, I weak o! I no know say you sef, see am. ![]() |
BlackBaron:I agree totally! Our supply chain systems need heavy dose of improvement! Our logistics/transportation system is highly unstable, grossly inefficient and extremely expensive! ![]() Take our rail system for instance. In other countries, it is a fast & efficient way of moving large volumes of cargo and customers at an affordable rate. The one we have here, is anything but fast. Is it efficient? Mba! Affordable? Maybe. But when you look at the delay in terms of delivery time, and the lack of adherence to a proper schedule, you are better of entrusting your cargo to haulage companies on our rickety roads, and taking your destiny into your hands. ![]() For the past few weeks, I have been searching for a ferry service that can make regular scheduled trips between Lagos and Ogun state, with a further trip to Edo/Delta State, in order to reduce travel time on the road. It is like searching for a needle in a haystack. Bros, let me stop here. I don't want to develop headache, biko! |

Lack of infrastructure (roads, tracking system, etc) is a MAJOR problem!!
