... As for the Oba of Lagos threatening to throw Igbo that did not vote into the lagoon, your Eze Ndi'Igbo in Lagos and other members of your ethnic group were in attendance. What did they do when they heard that threat?? shocked shocked They clapped in merriment, laughed excitedly like schoolkids, and promised to comply with his demands, instead of taking him to task over his remarks. How come you have not visited them with your campaign of hate? huh

“I’m not ready to beg you. Nobody knew how I picked Ambode. Jimi (Agbaje) is my blood relation and I told him that he cannot be governor in Lagos for now. The future belongs to God. I am not begging anybody, but what you people cannot do in Onitsha, Aba or anywhere, don’t do it here.

“If you do what I want, Lagos will continue to be prosperous for you. If you go against my wish, you will perish in the water.”

The monarch said anybody against Ambode did not wish the state well, adding, “I am for the progress, growth and development of Lagos. Ambode is highly cerebral, he’s a symbol and he is going to deliver the message which I, the Oba of Lagos, have said. And he will govern the state for another eight years.

“He is going on a mission and God will give him the wisdom and knowledge to fulfill that mission. Almost a year ago, I declared that Ambode will be the next governor of Lagos and it will not change.

“From time immemorial, the previous occupiers of this house will say what they wanted after consultations with other people. And this hasn’t changed and it will not change at this time,” he said.

In a veiled reference to one of Jonathan’s predecessors, Akiolu stated that the crisis Nigeria was facing was not caused by the Jonathan administration but by another person he refused to name.

Continuing with his tirade, he said: “If not for the appeal from Asiwaju (Bola Tinubu) and my highly respected maternal father, the Awujale of Ijebu-Ode, all what is happening today is not the cause of the present government. The man who caused everything knows himself.”

In his response, the Eze-Ndigbo of Amuwo-Oriade, Dr. Gordian Dimojiaku, promised Akiolu that the Igbos in the state would support Ambode.

“The mistake of last Saturday was caused by everybody, not only the Igbos. It is not only the Igbos that were responsible for the votes. But we have learnt our lesson. Saturday’s election is going to be a different thing and Ambode is going to win.

“Everybody knows that when you fail the first time, you cannot afford to fail again. We are going to tell our people that Ezes from the 20 local governments and 37 local council development areas are here and that we have sworn with the Oba that we are going to make sure that Ambode wins next Saturday’s election,” he said.

A lie may travel for a thousand miles, but it takes just one step of truth to catch up with it.
It's only the weak and leeches that bash other people who in no way have got nothing to do with the mass murder, destruction of means of livelihood, oppression and injustice in the land.

laudate, here and now can you post such evidence where prominent Igbo leaders have used propaganda and hate-speeches to cause anarchy in the country?
Can you substantiate with facts and figures, in clear terms, how Igbos constitute nuisance in any community?

Can you post evidence of Radio Biafra call for unprovoked attacks or genocide on anyone, here and now?

In the 90s, the NADECO's unlicensed and inciting Radio Kudirat was hitting the airwaves, did any of your elites condemn it?

Before the 2015 general elections, did you condemn the highly inciting Radio Chanji in the North?

Ever since you were born, have you seen or heard anywhere Igbos are on rampage, killing people and destroying means of livelihoods for no just cause?

How many of your elites dare challenge the Hausa-Fulani-Kanuris or Yorubas for their unjust ways? How many of you dare counter the numerous killings and destruction of lives and properties that have been occurring for many decades in the North unabated?

You merely turn blind eyes to the wickedness in the country because your kinsmen are rarely affected. But you're quick to point accusing fingers on the Igbos who have been far from power for 50 years.

The Hausa-Fulani-Kanuri people have over the century propagated despicable, hate speeches in their mosques and still execute the unconscionable, cold-hearted waste of human lives and reckless destruction of means of livelihoods in the North and Middle-belt. And they now have the presidency while the backstabbing Yorubas vice-presidency! Such a misnomer can only happen in the jungle!

A number of Yorubas even go to the extent of carrying wicked lies about how Hausa-Fulani-Kanuri people have been peace-loving and accommodative; that it's the Igbos that always provoke their hosts in the North warranting the pogrom and other heinous crimes against the Igbos.
Yet in the same North and the Middle-belt the Christian minorities and other Southerners are maltreated, relegated to the background and even killed.

You say that Igbos are arrogant, and that they don't respect their hosts while you subtly proclaim that the Hausa-Fulanis are peace-loving and accommodative. You don’t like Igbos but you still fought and killed them to be in this fraudulent union with verm1ns, where parasitic ingrates are favoured by the injustice, inequity and lopsided arrangement in the polity. And your people even had the effrontery to castigate Igbos for seeking a self-determination!

Mister, it's wrong for you to make frivolous statements because you do not like the Igbo man. Though you may be bitter and angry for the unequal exploits and audacity of the Igbos, it's absolute wicked to spread baseless propaganda!

Many of you hold the view that Igbos should be grateful for being allowed to live in their part of the country, in the same 'One Nigeria'! You say Igbos disrespect and denigrate their host when Igbos choose to exercise their franchise right. And you don't seem to see anything wrong in Oba Akiolu's threat to drown Igbos in the Lagos lagoon if they fail to vote for his anointed candidate! The same threat was backed by many Yorubas including Dr Ariyo in the US who even called for genocide.

But here you are, pointing accusing fingers on the Igbos for daring to stand against the injustice in the land and seeking self-determination. And some of you mischievously term it 'chest beating' or 'disrespect'. And if Igbos do not stand and speak for themselves, people like you will still find a way of accusing them of not doing enough to market themselves; that nobody is going to do it for them. Igbos are wiser!

There's oil in Anambra, Abia, Enugu and Imo. The whole of Enugu and Anambra States are sitting on Gas deposits and gas has more value than oil; Coal at Enugu, Lime stone for cement in Abakaliki; rice in Ebonyi State, Abia State - highest producer of cocoa; West Africa's largest market at Onitsha, Anambra; big markets at Aba, Abia state and Nnewi, Anambra.
Even without reliance on crude oil the Igbos have excelled and are more than ever before capable of doing more exploits and competing with the World powers!

I don't blame you for not being objective and sincere! I blame this forced union under which you and your folks hide to propagate falsehoods and had the audacity to do so.

IGBOS HATE NOBODY EXCEPT YOU ARE A SWORN ENEMY TO TRUTH, JUSTICE AND EQUITY.
At the 2015 presidential election Igbos only exercised their franchise right just like other tribes.

If Igbos are the promoters of hate in Nigeria, can anyone tell us any instance where Igbos go about causing mayhem, killing and destroying means of livelihoods for no just cause?

It's only mischievous bigots in the society that turn blind eye to the evil and injustice, and permit the atrocities to flourish in the land because they gain from the lopsided arrangement in the polity.
GENESIS OF HATRED IN NIGERIA

1* “We do not want our Southern neighbours to interfere in our development. We have never associated ourselves with the activities of these
people. We do not know them, we do not recognize them, and we share no responsibility in their actions. We shall demand our rights when the time is ripe. If the British quit Nigeria now at this stage, the Northern people would continue their uninterrupted conquest to the sea”. - Sir Tafawa Balewa (1947)

2* “We the people of the North will continue our stated intention to conquer the South and to dip the Koran in the Atlantic ocean after the British leave our shores.” - Sir Ahmadu Bello (1957)

3* "The new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our great grand father, Othman Danfodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We must use minorities in the North as willing tools and South as conquered territories and never allow them to rule over us or have control over their future"
- Sir Ahmadu Bello, October 12,  1960

Ahmadu Bello, arrogantly uttered the aforementioned statement in a multicultural and multi-religious country and got away with it, and many bigots still hold him in high esteem and even shove it down the throats of other people.

5* ...sometime in 2010, when upon the demise of President Umaru Y'Ardua, indications emerged that his erstwhile deputy, President Goodluck Jonathan, may contest the 2011 presidential election, a prominent chieftain of this same ACF, Lawal Kaita, who was a former Governor of old Kaduna S tate, threatened that the North would make Nigeria ungovernable, should Jonathan or anyone from the South win the 2011 presidential election, claiming that such would amount to denying the North it's birthright of ruling Nigeria.

6* It is in the same North barbaric statements like this were uttered in 2011: ”BABOON AND DOG WILL BE SOAKED IN BLOOD”. And what was the outcome - carnage and murder of many Southerners and Christians in the North, including many Youth Corps members when Buhari lost the 2011 presidential election?

7* That true to that threat, upon the victory of Jonathan from the 2011 presidential election, massive violence was unleashed from the North by a group which called itself Boko Haram and which repeatedly took responsibility for unending mayhem which began with the killing of Youth Corp members who worked ad-hoc for INEC in that election.

8* As the barbaric killings and destructions reigned, especially with the attack by Boko Haram on the UN Building and Force Headquarters in Abuja, the Lower Niger Congress publicly posited that the nexus between the aforementioned threat by ACF's, Lawal Kaita and the Boko Haram's bloody campaigns summarily destroyed any prospects for keeping the Nigeria Union.

9* "It was, therefore, no surprise that in October 2013, following the bold announcement by President Jonathan, presenting the sudden prospect of revisiting the master-servant constitutional arrangements of Nigeria infuriated the warmongering born-to-rule Caliphate whose cause was championed by the same ACF, and who, supported by their allies from the renegade wing of the Yoruba Southwest,  launched a vicious, frontal attack on the initiative, teaming on the floor of the Conference into a majority, and driving the Conference into its first major decision, i.e. NOT TO DISCUSS THE TERMS OF NIGERIA'S UNITY. The rest of the Conference was a jamboree that provided a luxurious platform for the North/SW Alliance, parading itself as a new political party named APC, to fine-tune their violent March to the do-or-die 2015 general elections."

War veterans from different parts of the SouthEast and in the Diaspora have threatened to pull out from Nigeria if their benefits were not paid. They issued the threat at Hill Top Ngwo, near Enugu where they gathered to commemorate the May 30 anniversary of Biafran fallen heroes. Speaking at the event, Executive Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu regretted the nonpayment of benefits due to Biafran soldiers saying “it is a continuation of the same injustice that led them to try to extricate themselves from this Lugard creation called Republic of Nigeria”.

Kanu warned that the indigenous People of Biafra would commence what they called a new wave of freedom fighting to carve a separate state of Biafra from the present Nigeria. He said the implication of what they were doing was that they have honoured their dead and remembered those that fought and died for Biafra” stressing that from this day onwards they would now do proper freedom fighting, the way it should be done.

Kanu explained that though the agitation would begin peacefully, it would entail taking up of arms since according to him, “there cannot be real freedom fighting by drinking a cup of tea”. “We come in peace but we bring hell with us. If there is no Biafra this place will be completely destroyed. Everything will die here or they give us Biafra. So there is and will be no compromise. We won’t retreat and we won’t surrender. We have come here to fight for our country or we die fighting for our freedom,” he said.

“That is why it is very disheartening that you see old men in every blessed month crying and wishing that their money will come to them and nothing happens. The Yorubas have been paid, the Hausa Fulani have been paid and then those of them belonging to Biafra have not been paid. It is an injustice that must be addressed and it is part of the reason why we are doing what we are doing because in the new Biafra we would not have this level of injustice”.

Kanu stressed that it was in reaction to the monumental and serial acts of injustice against the Indigenous people of Biafra that the movement has awakened to fight for freedom adding, “Nigeria has no choice because Biafra will come on or before December 30, 2015”.

The highpoint of the memorial included march past by various divisions of Biafra war veterans, sing song and the unveiling the cenotaph in commemoration of “all those that lost their lives fighting for Biafra and members of the Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra, (MASSOB)”

Do Not Be Provoked To Retaliate

by ENDS | Every Nigerian Do Something

6th September, 2015

This is an important message especially to Hausas and Fulanis, the intended targets of Radio Biafra’s plotted terror.

Do not be provoked, do not be tempted to retaliate. Leave it to the government and justice system to answer to harassment and murder of your people by Radio Biafra maniacs. Do not be played in the usual games that mischievous elements have played and used to provoke chaos over the years.

We have been following recent broadcasts from Nnamdi Kanu’s Radio Biafra. The terror group has been apparently joyous since the events that led to about half a dozen deaths in Onitsha on Sunday 30th August. While the details of the events that led to the deaths are being investigated, the Nigerian Navy has denied it shot directly at protesting IPOB persons. We have no idea if they were shot at, if they were injured and died as a result of a stampede when the navy fired into the air to disburse them after ‘they had overrun a police post.’ Or if certain unscrupulous Radio Biafra terrorists shot at their own people as many of their conversations have suggested they have the capacity to and as is common in world history.

The true details of Sunday the 30th will come out after the Buhari government, concludes its investigation. However what we are aware of is a plan to terrorize Nigeria in reaction to the incidents and this plan by Radio Biafra is in full effect, as several public conversations of the station have indicated.

Callers on Radio Biafra have been plotting to kill Hausas and Fulanis in Igbo states with intention to provoke a retaliation against innocent Igbos in other parts of Nigeria in hope of using this to “provoke chaos and drive Igbos home to Igbo-land.”

These people supported Goodluck Jonathan and his army chief/thief Azubuike Ihejirika during their campaigns that led to the deaths of thousands of innocent Nigerians and now they are angry that a war is being waged against corruption and terror and Nigeria is finally in recovery and they are desperate to provoke trouble. We must not let them.

People were attacked in the North by Hausa-Fulani miscreants and almajiris. While the Igbo were victims of the riots in the sixties up North which led to the civil war, the Urhobo, Ibibio, Edo and other Southern ethnic groups in addition to the Igbo, fell prey to the miscreants who did not discriminate in their attacks during riots, from the seventies onwards. angry But instead of directing your anger against the Hausa-Fulani on www.gamji.com or any other Northern-dominated website, you come to NL owned by a Yoruba man to direct your venom against Yoruba people, other Southerners and various ethnic groups. How blind can a person be? In your blindness, you fail to recognise that other ethnic groups have even been victims, yet you continue to vilify them for your woes. sad

The day anyone will take you seriously, is when you take out a full-page advert in Northern owned media to castigate them to their faces. Or are you expecting me to take up arms against them on your behalf?? Why not go directly to the Northern-owned media to launch these your long epistles against them! Face the Hausa-Fulani squarely, instead of being their mouthpiece! You kill your message with your double-faced actions. On one hand, you are blaming the Northerners, on the other hand you are acting as their mouthpiece by recycling their inciting statements. How unstable. Leave other ethnic groups including the minorities out of your diatribe against the North, and stop blaming every other major and minor ethnic group for your woes!! Is that so hard to do? shocked shocked Onye āghala!

Last word: The Sardauna of Sokoto is dead. His dreams died with him. Same thing happened to Tafawa Balewa. And people have long moved on,since then. Those with rational minds, know that hate is like poison to the soul. So they jettison it, and move ahead to build a future worthy of emulation. Get rid of the hate in your soul. It kills.

There are a lot of garment retailers and fashion shops in Nigeria, whose model they should have understudied before coming to set up in Nigeria. Instead, they chose to impose a South African model of marketing or merchandising, in Nigeria. How sad! sad

This is what happens when you conduct zero due diligence on the shopping habits and consumer behaviour of Nigerians, and you just throw your wares in the market, without finding out how others have been doing it.

Apart from that their prices, were on the rather high side. This is an indictment on the Michael Adenugas, the Subomi Baloguns and co., that throng the festival each year! Why can't they fix the major roads leading to the Oba's palace at least? Or even put pressure on Amosun to do so, before the festival?? shocked

Please this should be on front page! I'm not yoruba, but I like the unity associated with this festival. Good to know this people still upholds their culture and tradition...
LOL!! I know what you mean. cheesy Someone once told me that these aso-ebi wearing folks, constitute the various age-grade groups, among the Ijebu people. And each age-grade embarks on a particular community project within the town, and contribute funds to complete it. undecided

They should contribute towards projects that will improve the infrastructure of the town.

Can you imagine??! This decision is stupidity with a capital 'S'.

Instead of stepping up surveillance and using tracking systems that can be monitored remotely to prevent fuel diversion by the oil marketers, as well as increasing DPR's powers of enforcement, they want to scrap 500 petrol stations! shocked sad A move that will lead to fuel scarcity in many areas, and will bring back the queues. shocked angry

Not only that, the existing 20 stations will now engage in hoarding or round tripping in order to make more money! smh... *chai*
