I think the simple maths to this is to divide your portfolio , have two mindsets if possible . 1. Trader mindset : you have to constantly be up to the task of viewing your charts , gluing to the news e.t.c then you flow with the system . When you notice downtrend , close your longs . Either you flip to short or you wait to buy at possible support point of the market ( note ; I said possible because the main support point is difficult to predict but if you are good , you can get the range of the bottom correctly e.g 55-51k) 2. An investor mindset : As an investor , you don’t care about the market crash, since as an investor you don’t buy all your portfolio at once . You see crashes as an opportunity to add more . Kindly note that to become a successful investor is not easy in any space . There are rough patches . You need to be brutal to stay consistently profitable but trust me if you can hold your nerve and never put all your eggs in one basket , you gonna win big . Example of an investor in this space is Michael Saylor . So pick anyone that works for you if you can’t do the two. As for me , I prefer being the two but not everyone has that ability tho |
