Theology is a crucial part of human culture, if not the most crucial. It is so crucial that it must be part and parcel of the government structure of a nation for the nation to succeed. However, the hall mark of secular nations is to downplay theology. Human societies were never secular in the past. There was always theology but only healthy ones with sound God concepts existed across the globe. However, toxic God concepts began to be the norm with the Christian Roman empire of Emperor Constantine. The first Government on Earth to forcibly convert people at sword point and with hell threats. Something similar had earlier happened in Egypt over 3 thousand years earlier but a bit different because Pharaoh Akhenaten of Egypt was not converted to a foreign religion. He merely banned the worship of other deities apart from Aten. He banned also the use of graven images in Egypt, but he did not use hypnotism or terror to zombify billions as is done nowadays in Christianity and Islam, He was overruled by the state after his exit. Constantine's Rome started the mess we are in today when the Emperor converted to Christianity, a toxic spirituality that claims a first century homeless man can forgive people their sins and is God Almighty the creator. It later led to Islam and to the mess we are in today with billionaire con men Pastors holding millions in spiritual captivity as cash cows, people going to Mecca for hajj like zombies, 30 days annual fast, suicide bombings, paedophilia, rape. Just like a man who was my Aunt's friend, promised to buy me a horse in 1985 or so, when I was five years old, the gullible believers are promised paradise, if they believe and embrace all the foolishness in their holy books of Quran and Bible written by unintelligent first century to 7th century nincompoops as absolute and unbreachable truths. So, the world is as a result divided into hate groups who hate upon and kill each other. Credit to Christianity, Islam. Yoruba theology. There has always been theology. A human culture is never complete without theology. You try to do away with theology and you end up running back to it. It is the cornerstone. The Opomulero. You ignore it at your own peril. In Yoruba or Ife theology for example, there are various entities given names like Olodumare who is the Allah, King of the Jinns known to Mohammed's parents who deified everything. He is Ubangiji, Chukwuabiama, Osanobua, Ojo and etc in various Nigerian languages. Once the entity is described to you, you know he is Olodumare. Known as the Great Spirit by American Indians. God to Germanic language speakers and etc. Yahweh and Allah are not Olodumare. A Gentleman is not a thug. Then we have orisas who are energies and can be incarnated on Earth from time to time. For example, Nikola Tesla is Ogun Lakaye (Iba o!) to the Yoruba. His AC motor invention is the principal ingredient or component of modern electricity which has greatly increased prosperity on Earth. Anyone that brings a prosperity enhancing innovation is Ogun. That is the energy. Many Obas were recognised as Ogun. Osun is fertility responsible for the baby boom in the US. Orunmila is empathy. Abanidamoran bi iyekan eni. He offers you advise like he is your next of kin. That is Orunmila. Obatala is the hypothetical benevolent King. That is the energy behind welfare states. Sango or Oranfe is vengeance. So it goes on and all are frequently incarnated but Olodumare is never incarnated and has no peers. Ogun Ajero was my ancestor. There were Onire, Alara, Olofin, Akire, Ewuare the Omonoba. Esu would ruthlessly test your integrity. One was Alaketu but nobody has ever been Olodunare and none will ever be and nobody is last of anything, having no peers. The energy we need in Nigeria today is OYA, to YA as in tear the country into manageable pieces. It is a female energy and it has been recognised. Barbara Bush Jr is carrying it with the whole power of the USA behind her. Barbara Bush Jr is not Olodumare of course but she is OYA as far as Nigeria is concerned. After her job is done, then the new emergent nation states can harness the energies of Ogun, Obatala, Osoosi and etc to immediately start improving the lot of their peoples. Olodumare does not interfere. For Olodumare, what you sow is what you reap. You have everything at your disposal. If you want goodies, then do good. For junks, do junks too. Nothing goes for nothing. In Japan, they have a good theology is why they are not atheists and they do not have 2000 temples in Nigeria to convert people to Shintoism while spreading hatred and division. They sell automobiles and electronics in Nigeria not bullshit. They are co sponsors of the Ifa institute in Oyo. To have peace in your country, get rid of Allah, Yahweh, Jesus and Mohammed. They are devils. It is sad that centuries were lost following those entities but better late than never. OYA's energy will soon become manifest in Nigeria. I will write more on her later. |
AjaanaOka:I do not entirely believe the contents of this link as both Benin and Agenebode bear Yoruba names and in actual fact, the area of Nupoid people including Gwari and Ebira is parts of the NW and NC. That is their abode. Igbo area is majority of SE and part of SS and etc. Those are the demarcations by language. This Nupe history is talking of an ancient empire that predates Benin and Oyo comprising of Nupe and non Nupe http://kinnupeblog.com/onitsha-was-founded-by-nupe-people-by-ndagi-abdullahi/ |
agadez007:I will look for the link but today no body is saying Onitsha is not an Igbo city but we are talking of the history. The Nupe controlled huge territories in the past. They at one time occupied Oyo ile for around 80 years before they were dislodged and many Yoruba towns was in the past tibutary to them at one time or the other. |
AjaanaOka:There are Yoruba of Hausa, Tapa, Bariba, Benin, Ebira, Malian, Portuguese and etc descent and they have it in their oriki but I have never heard of a Yoruba of Igbo descent. That is because Igbos stayed in their villages in the past. Arochukwu were farther East. They are not neighbours to Yorubas. If they were, possibly, they would have been known to the Yoruba as their type of societal organisation is similar to the Yoruba and they also travel but they are located farther East. |
IkpuMmadu:It is better to carry yourself with self respect than to take up the post of a clown when the situation calls for seriousness and there is no need for clowning. There were many languages in the Benin empire which was a Yoruba empire with a Yoruba name Ibinu (Anger) but the lingua franca was the Yoruba dialect still spoken by Ilaje and Itsekiri today. The Ilaje and Itsekiri are the most accurate representative of ancient Benin while Benin city was the capital. That Yoruba dialect was the only language in which Benin officials were addressed. You dont speak any other language in a Benin court which includes courts as faraway as Rivers state, Anambra and Delta that at one time or the other came under Benin influence. It was the language learnt by Europeans in the Benin empire. Benin's Edoid language was limited to the natives around that area. You dont address the Oba in that language in the past. Just like you dont address the Oba in Igbo, the Obi Onitsha, Obi Ussele Ukwu and etc too. The Yoruba language is Egyptian and relatively new to this parts. The language of the Yoruba was Akoko. Now spoken at the edges of Yoruba land in Kwara, Kogi, Ondo and Northern Edo. Yoruba word for box is apoti, for okro is ila. Ugu leaves as vegetable was probably introduced to Yorubas by Igbos as it does not have a Yoruba name as far as I know. For Egusi, I do not know, it might also be an Igbo word. Let me add that the Nupe claim to have established Onitsha and thrived there before it passed from hand to hand to come under Benin influence. They have a meaning for Onitsha unlike most others. Then language zones are well demarcated but in the case of an empire, they post armies and officers and their official language is imposed. A person of considerable intellect should not be saying Benin was not Yoruba. Was it Edoid then? There were more Yoruba speaking towns than any other language in the Benin empire and Yoruba was the language of business. So Benin armies and officers took the language to all their stations as lingua franca but when the empire collapsed, the outposts returned to using their local language or adopted a more convenient one. Anyone should be able to reason that out. |
bigfrancis21:Your way of reasoning is a bit strange. Igbos were not known to any one of Yoruba or Hausa before colonisation because leaving their villages probably was a taboo back then. It was the British colonisation that modernised Igbos. They went to other places first as colonial workers then as traders. By contrast, the Yoruba knew Hausas, Kanuris, Malians, Portuguese, Ashanti, Europeans, Arabs and those people knew the Yoruba too. They lived in Yoruba cities. The Igbos were cut off from the Yoruba by the Edoid people. The Yoruba that knew Igbos were the Yoruba of Benin because Benin was a Yoruba speaking state that had Igbo people in it but since Igbos dont leave their villages, Yorubas farther to the West never encountered them but Anioma Igbos were using Yoruba as lingua franca in the past to communicate with headquarters in Benin. As for Ogiri, it is a well entrenched Yoruba word used for something produced in Yoruba land, so if you insist that Yorubas learnt the word from Igbos who showed up here in the 20th century, then that speaks volumes about your level of reasoning. Why not Igbos copied it from Yoruba? |
On this day in 1946, President George W Bush was born and today is his 70th birthday. I wish him many more years in excellent health and prosperity. I will say he was born under Ofun meji. Ofun meji 'Duro ti asooto to wa ninu ewu' Lo difa fun President George W Bush (Dubya) nigba ti won ti ikole orun bo wa saye. Ebo ni won ni ki won o se Ki ona won le la, ki ise ti a gbe le won lowo le rorun, ki eru won si fuye. Won gbo won sebo Nigba ti won dele aye, ota gbogun, nigba ti won tele ilana Olodumare ti nse otito sugbon won ko ye kuro ni ipa ti Olodumare fi ese won le. Won si segun!. Yeepa ripa odu! Eji ogbe 'Aidala' ati ‘Ofomodigereu’ awon lo difa fun President George W Bush (Dubya), ni igba ti won lo se ayewo fun omokunrin kan ilu okeere. Omokunrin kan ilu okere ti nferan, ti o si ngbekele awon ore ati ebi re ti won ti ta ni owo iyebiye fun apanije ti nje eran eniyan. Awon to feran, to gbekele naa lo ta. Ti ko ba si olugbala fun, iku ni ewe ni yio je ipin re. President George W Bush pinnu lati gba omokunrin naa la. Won ni kan sebo, pe ki aye ma so ohun rere ti won dawole di ibi mo won lowo, ki imole won o ma di okuku, ki aye ma so won di alaimose. Won gbo won rubo. Ohun gbogbo silo dede. Eni a ba ta ka fi ratupa. O wa di eni a ji tanna wo ni ola Dubya! Saaki odu o! Translation Ofun meji 'Stand by a person who is in danger just because he speaks the truth bluntly' made Ifa divination for Dubya when he set out for Earth from heaven He was asked to offer ebo, so that his path would be clear, his task would be easy and his burden would be light. He complied. On getting to Earth, enemies rose against him but he did not waiver from the path of Olodumare which is truth! And he was victorious at the end! Yeeparipa odu! Eji ogbe 'A man can not scale through by himself' and 'I stake my child on this' were those who made Ifa divination for President George W Bush (Dubya) when he went to query Ifa on behalf of a young man from a foreign country. A young man from a foreign country who was sold to a cannibal for a large sum of money by friends and family that he trusted and loved. He was sold to the cannibal by people he loved and trusted. Without a savior, he faced imminent death. President George W Bush decided to save the young man from a foreign land and he was asked to offer 'ebo' so that people will not turn the good he set out to do to evil, so that his light will not turn to darkness, so that he will not be rendered ineffective. He complied and everything went according to plan. The young man from a foreign land who would have been sold to buy a lamp by those he loved and trusted, thereby became someone lamps are being lit to meet. By the grace of President George W Bush! Saaki odu o! Just like the USA is abused across the world even as they have never sought to rule anybody or dictate to any country as they do their best to improve the world. (Many former adversaries they went to war with are now allies with them. Japan and Germany are doing better economically) is exactly thesame way President George W Bush is villified. The Al Qaeda struck the US and achieved the greatest slaughter by an enemy entity on US soil ever, killing three thousand US citizens in one day. It was the worst national situation since the American civil war under President Lincoln, undertaken by Muslims who were trained and helped by the CIA to resist Soviet occupation in Afghanistan decades earlier. The Soviets did not believe in God, which to Muslims is a sin, so- the Muslims used the Americans to fight the Soviets, then turned on the Americans after the episode ended, using as excuse the US support for the Israeli resettlement on the land of- Muslims. They want the US to pull out of Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and all Muslim lands, so that Muslims can organise themselves to conquer the world or destroy it. The President responded in the only reasonable way. He dismantled Afghanistan ruled by the Taliban that quartered Al qaeda and removed Saddam Hussein, a Hitler like dictator that was refusing that his country Iraq, be ransacked for WMDs, he answered to no one, not in his country, Iraq or anywhere. He was a security risk, so his country was invaded and the Allied forces were welcomed with cheers by Iraqis but there were a lot of losses of Iraqi and American lives and the country that was in the 1970s at par with Iran is now down but they are picking up. They should organise their country with income tax for the US effort to be worthwhile. President Bush did the right thing by routing the Mohammedans and leaving them nowhere to hide. Today, they have no headquarters and have resorted to random suicide bombings using brainwashed people. It will soon be time for the final showdown. The Roman empire of Constantine started the rubbish of assassinating the character of God and it must end. God is using President Bush to achieve this. More grease to his elbows and many more years after this 70th. I can never be grateful enough.

IkpuMmadu:The Yoruba for Ogbono is Apon used in Sir Shina Peter's song E jawo lapon ti o yo o, e lo gbo mi ila kana. Suspend the preparation of Ogbono if it fails to draw, go and boil water for okro. So Ogbono is never a Yoruba word, Apon is the Yoruba equivalent but it is not popular among Yoruba, ila and ewedu are the more popular draw soups. |
If the country were well organised with everybody earning income having access to credit, there would have been no need for banks to be overly exposed to the troubled oil and gas sector. Skyebank was exposed to a threshhold of 700 billion but the money is not lost as it is collaterised but it is not performing. Whose fault? Government's fault. They are the ones supposed to organise the country. There are people employing 20 people paying salaries without fail for 10 years in this country with no access to credit. I have been there. |
bigfrancis21:You are not making sense. If you have something to say I will like to learn from you just let it make sense. I never said Igbo copied Ogiri from Yoruba but Yoruba did not copy it from them and ogiri is different from normal iru. So if it is different, it will have a different name, even iru are of different types, you have to say if you want woro or pete while ogiri stands on its owm. So are you saying Igbos imported ogiri to Yoruba land or what? That is why I say your points are not well thought out. Words like ashawo, ikebe are words in Yoruba that are from your direction. Not ogiri. I did not say there are no Igbo words in Yoruba but ogiri is not one of them. Ashewo may be one. I will be happy to see you shed light on any of my positions Please debunk them, I will like you to but they are not a day work o and are not speculations or baseless. All are well thought out. |
bigfrancis21:You are talking rubbish. Ogiri was not learnt from Igbos who appeared in Yorubaland very recently. Ogiri is known all over Yoruba land as a soup condiment with a somewhat offensive yet rich odour not only in Ijebu. I have known ogiri when I was in Ijesa. Yoruba did not learn it from Igbos. Then garri is a Yoruba word learnt by Igbos. Igbos did not eat garri in the past I believe. They ate foofoo and pounded yam. While Yoruba either soak garri in water to drink or use it to make eba with boiling water. The Igbos call eba, garri while the Yoruba do not. To Yorubas eba is made from garri while garri on its own is like corn flakes. It is a more advanced use of cassava than the use for foofoo by Igbos. I hope you wont say the words for mouth, nose, ear, time and etc were learnt by Yorubas from Igbos. |
agadez007:Iru is different from ogiri. Iru is two types iru woro that is still in seed form and iru pete that is mashed. They give a strong taste to soups. Ogiri is a kind of iru but it has a very strong smell. So if someone has a mouth odour, they may say he is ologiri lenu meaning he has ogiri in his mouth because of the somewhat offensive odour of the soup condiment called ogiri. There are many shared words in Yoruba and Igbo. I believe it may be more than shared words between Yoruba and Benin despite that the Yoruba do not share boundary with Igbos and Igbos were not known to the Yorubas before the 20th century. |
rottennaija:Advancing loans without collateral is a criminal offence and bank directors would be jailed for such but the non performing loans in Skye bank are loans to oil and gas companies. They were collaterised but are now non performing because of the upheaval in the oil and gas sector. Not that the loans have even gone bad. The debtors are just not able to service them as expected. So, how is it their fault? There is no reason to sack the board of the bank and replace them with government cronies. No reason at all. |
winner01:A recently founded mission like the RCCG has like 30 thousand branches and growing preaching salvation by sheer luck (grace), automatic forgiveness of sin by a third party, hell fire for unbelief, a first century homeless man; Jesus is God and they are hypnotising people to believe and assassinating dissenters. So, you want that to continue? What kind of industry do you call that? |
For one, Arabic was not the language of Saudi Arabia. The penultimate language of the people of Saudi Arabia was Sumerian and that was the language known to King Nimrod whom the Yoruba in Nigeria know as Lamurudu, father (ancestor) of a Meccan prince that was crowned Olofin Aye in Ife Ooyelagbo, many centuries back. From that Meccan who was renamed Oduduwa by the Ife people, to the present day, 51 Kings has reigned in Ile Ife. When he arrived as predicted by the Ifa oracle, it would appear that Ifa divination was made for him and the popular Ifa verse was chanted. Ogbaragada A difa fun Odu Nigba ti o nti ikole orun bo wasaye. Won ni ko sebo. Igba kan ati omo ori Igba, opo merin ati iwon. O gbo o sebo............ Translation Ogbaragada (Name of priest) Divined Ifa for Odu When coming from heaven to Earth. He was asked to offer ebo. One calabash and cover, four pillars and one chain. He complied. From the odu came the name Oduduwa, a feminine name, wife of Obatala. Just like Obatala has been portrayed as feminine, mother of Ogun, Esu and etc. Ifa is poetry and perspectives and not absolute truth as the Bible and Quran are claimed to be by Christians and Muslims. The name is said to mean 'The source of good character'. I digress. So, the Oduduwa that is much venerated by the Yoruba in Nigeria today is none less than an illustrious prince of Mecca who left the area shortly after the place became uninhabitable for normal human beings, after the fall of Mecca to Mohammedans. The Ife people had been directed by Ifa to not appoint a new Olofin Aye just yet but to wait for a stranger that would come. Presumably, the Meccan prince was directed by his own oracle to Ile Ife, because these things are no different from modern devices hooked to the internet and communicating, for people who know how to use them, which people back then knew how to. He set out for Ile Ife with his entourage, decked in royal garb and with a Meccan diadem that the Ife people called 'Are'. The Ijesa claim that the original is in their possession, taken by Owa Obokun Ajaka Adimula (Iba o!) when it fell off Oduduwa's head during a struggle. Obokun had returned from fetching brine to cure Oduduwa's old age blindness. Thinking him dead, the inheritance had been shared by his brothers who had left. So Oduduwa gave him Ida Ajase, sword of victory with which to take whatever he wants, he struggled for the Are crown which fell off Oduduwa's head and the beads cut, he took the 'Are' crown but beadless which is why the Owa Obokun does not wear a beaded crown in the company of other Obas but only during ceremonies on Ijesa land. That is an Ijesa account. One of many rich accounts of the life of the Meccan prince who became Olofin Aye of the Ife people. There are many others kept by clans, nations, families and etc. So, the Meccan prince is the person seen as the father of the Yoruba being the last main Olofin Aiye that ruled all the Ife people. He lived in a Mecca that was owned by real humans who would fraternise with Shintos, Hindus, Buddhists and etc. I would not know the Sumerian name for the Supreme being but the Arabic name is Allah who is King of the jinns just like Olodumare is King of the irunmale. The pre Mohammedan Allah is Olodumare but the Mohammedan Allah that has compromised the psyche of South Arabians is not. Oduduwa would have been able to speak proto Arabic since the Phoenician descended language was known in the area up to 15 centuries ago even if sparingly. Sumerian was used up till 1000 AD as a liturgical language and Oduduwa left Mecca centuries before 1000 AD. The people of Saudi must wake up to reality. Islam is not their culture. Abraham is not their father. Lamurudu or Nimrod is their father. Islam is nothing more than extreme, violent and illogical Judaism. Judaism is more sensible for not trying to save the world with evil beliefs. Their beliefs and doctrines apply to Jews only and never to non Jews. Arabs have to return to deities and idol worshipping under Allah or whatever the Sumerian name/title of the Supreme being is. Everything must be worshipped without exception. Is Mohammed greater or wiser than Nimrod who worshipped the fire, wind, water, trees and etc? God forbid that a mad man like Prophet Mohammed will continue forever to be seen as the greatest. People must wake up before we all drown. We were sent to Earth by God to enjoy and make Earth better before we return home. Not to die for God or kill people for God or hate people over God. That is insane. All good people are kindred. If a voice in your head is telling you a man is bad because he does not believe the Quran. That is Al Shaytan. One of the Ajoguns who are jinns with bad character. They delight in tormenting human beings. No real human being created by God should take the Quran seriously. A total ban on Islam and Christianty, two perverted or bastardised versions of Judaism across the globe is the only respite, the only way forward. |
The Skye bank board did not commit any offence. Nobody on the Skye bank board committed any crime. They did not break any rule or any law, banking or otherwise but some of their loan advancements had become non performing, probably because of an over exposure to the oil and gas sector which is now at a low but that happens everytime in the economy, banks slow down but their capital is never lost as a result of that, only not productive at the moment, something that will change when things shape up in the affected sector but the CBN removed the bank board and replaced them with government cronies who will run down the bank as directed by the government!. How do you remove the board of a public company and replace them with government cronies? Where in the world does that happen? Give me examples. This is a company worth over 1.5 trillion naira!. And how in hell or heaven will a CBN appointed board perform better than a board that reflects the majority shareholding group, that is Yoruba?. The shareholders' fund of Skye bank is Yoruba capital. A bank built from scratch with shareholders fund. That is how things are run recklessly in Nigeria to favour government cronies, mostly from the North. To rub the ego of people like Buhari who do not merit anything they have. If it were Easterners in power, it would be thesame story in the unhealthy competing field that Nigeria is which is bringing the roof down on us all since 1960. It is why Nigeria is going backwards instead of forward. Nigeria was better off at independence than today. How many countries are like that? The Yoruba too definitely have their own fault but we have our homegrown and age long solution founded on the Ogboni just like the US is founded on freemasonry and a Yoruba led country with the Ogboni as protagonists would be run with common sense. The Ogboni do not rule just like the CIA do not rule. They have a guiding principle which is 'At all cost, be fair to others'. So, let the country divide and let everybody control their banks. Let Hausas have their country and control their banking sector with their Central Bank at least. That will be better for them. In a Yoruba country, I will always support that the banking sector be nationalised and bank chiefs appointed like police commissioners with every citizen and resident having a relationship with the national bank. Enough of the idiocy that the Nigerian experiment is. The country should be disbanded for the good of all. You just do not sack the board of a 1.5 trillion naira public company because you are controlling the CBN. That is immoral. You can not sack the board of a cooperative society and they are not different from commercial banks. There are many of them across the country. So, enough of the foolishness and nepotism of this Buhari government. The intent is to rundown the country. I do not see him as working for Hausa people. No indication of that as he has never done anything for Northern Muslims. He is a liar, cheat and a thief, the most corrupt man on Earth but he is seen as clean by millions in Nigeria when he does not qualify to lead anyone or anything because he is morally filthy or bankrupt. What is the Hausa masses gaining? They are beggars all over the country doing petty jobs, many of them have no skills. The only thing they have learnt is the Quran. Only a small percentage are artisans. Others have no particular skill other than subsistence farming. Buhari wants it to remain like that. So, get a grip on yourselves as Hausa people, save your future and support the division of the country immediately. In your new country, you take total control of your banking sector, education, health and etc. The Hausa masses that have been literate befor most of the masses of the world should not remain at the bottom of the ladder in Nigeria. On this day in 1776, 240 years ago, a group of thirteen colonies in North America joined together to forcefully declare independence from the British empire. The British empire had prided itself on its motto 'No taxation without representation'. So, since the British crown represented by King George was imposing tax on the colonies and the colonies were not represented in parliament, the Colonists decided to break free and declare independence. They refused to pay a newly imposed tea tax on principle and, dressed as Red Indians, they offloaded the shiploads of tea into the sea. It marked the beginning of the struggle with Britain which culminated in independence for the 13 colonies on the 4th of July 1976 giving birth to the most important nation so far in known history. The USA. The USA uses the Presidential system where the President is like the British King but elected for a term and under the strict control of the Central Intelligence Agency. The US is the best organised and most prosperous nation in the Western hemisphere with the nation building philosophy that government hold on the economy or market should be minimal which put them in opposition to the other mega state East of the Atlantic which is the former USSR, a socialist state that believed that government hold on the economy should be total. It was a tug of war that degenerated into open hostilities at several hotspots across the globe. Both nations were well armed. Nowadays, the USSR has collapsed and the successor states are free market states but there are a few successors like Cuba and North Korea that continue still with the system. No nation is freer than the USA. if you are not a criminal and you do not try to make profit under the table, you will be a free man in the USA. Everything about finances, profits, economy and etc is in the open in the USA for every US citizen and the USA has special agreements with banks all over the world covering anyone holding the US passport to take care of that. A US politician would not ever contemplate stealing money to stash offshore. That will not be possible in the USA. The USA is the most important nation in the world and in the Western hemisphere, Brazil is second to the US in significance and importance in the western hemisphere and Canada is at par by level of organisation/development. Brazil is a successor of the Portuguese empire just like the USA is a successor of the British empire. Both are economic superpowers in the Americas in their own right. If all nations were ran seriously and ruthlessly with common sense like the US, the world would definitely have been a better place. India is as free but not as organised, so it is less prosperous. China is more rigid, less free and not as prosperous. Germany, Japan, britain, france and Europe in general are as free but not as powerful. Russia is as militarized, not as free, not as powerful and not as prosperous. The US, since the end of the second world war has been picking the bill for the peace we enjoy in the world. Above all, the US is picking the bill for the peace I enjoy in my own life! I take it personal!. If there were no US, where would I be today?I would have been eaten by Pastor Adeboye of the RCCG and forgotten by all. Many have gone. It is the strong ethics of the CIA that compelled President George W Bush to dig in with me, else I would have been meat for Pastor Adeboye and Bishop Oyedepo. So, the USA to me represent God. God bless the USA! Many more years in prosperity and leadership! |
^^Let's move farward. The Yoruba ancestors were not blacks, thats my opinion. I'm entitle to that. Meanwhile this fact was not discuss in any Yoruba tradition because Yoruba metamophoused to being blacks over a long stretch of time. If we understood 'shi' as darkened or weathered, then the word 'ako-si-bero' gave us an idea of 'wholesale blackness' that the emigrants experienced as a resault of resettlement. The veiled enigma behind the word is, Yoruba language is conscious of such change. Now to me, the word shi is my princess, if I don't adore this word, I would be incapable of conceiving the notion that Yoruba use to be non-black. i don't have the luxury of aclaiming whatever cross my mind, but the few incredible claims i holds may not have obvious anchor than to one Yoruba impounderable word and then my instinct. i can't make my reader buy my argument and i wont throw out my princess to please anyone. The irunmales landed in Ife Oodaye maybe a million years ago or five hundred thousand years ago, I do not know but they landed as soon as Earth became habitable by land rising above the waters. This sounds like scific but it is the truth. Whether they were white or black would be determined by the climate of the portion of their homeworld where they took off from. So no one can tell for sure. Ife Oodaye an advanced civilization was destroyed ten thousand years ago and the survivors founded Ife Ooyelagbo whose successor is the Ile Ife in Nigeria today. |
IkpuMmadu:The word Yoruba was first used by people from Songhai empire whom the Yoruba call Imale meaning Mali. Their traders were allowed to build mosques in Yoruba cities in the past. The word was first found in the works of Ahmed Baba, a Professor from the university at Timbuctu in the 15th century. It means 'people who live towards the South who would not submit to Islam' or 'thugs of the South'. It was popularised by Hausa scholars, poets and etc in written works, it was at first used for the Oyo alone whose capital was called Katunga by Hausas or Oyo ile by Yorubas but it was later used for us all by the mid 20th century. What do we call ourselves and land? We call ourselves by the name of our subnations like Ijebu, Ijesa, Egba, Ajase, Nago, Idasa, Oyo, Igbomina and etc. Each land is also called that for instance I am an Ijesa man from Ijesa land but all Yoruba land is Ile kaaro o jiire. That is the word meaning the land where we greet ourselves kaaro O jiire. That land is from Southern Niger state to the Atlantic and West to Eastern Ghana. Then there is another designation which is Ife. We are Ife people. This includes Yoruba, Fon, Ewe and Ijaw on the East side of the Niger but Ijaw are separate. When Nigeria is divided. I can say all Ife people West of the Niger will stand together, then I believe the Bariba will join the Ife people, Benin republic and Togo will do thesame. Bariba was a powerful kingdom allied with the Oyo in the 19th century and both did not fall to the Fulbe jihad. So naturally they continue with that. Some Nupe were in the Fulbe empire while others South of the Niger are not. So, probably they go with Hausa Fulani or stay alone but the Bariba, Yoruba of Niger and Kwara will go with the Ife people without a doubt. A Bariba nation will emerge like in the past. So, before the word Yoruba came into use, we used 'ile kaaro ojiire' and we use Ife. Ife is more all encompassing as ile kaaro o jiire is for where Yoruba is spoken. |
gatiano:Pigmentation is an adaptation to sun intensity and other physical features are adaptations to one thing or the other. A Brazillian for instance who is white will be markedly different from a white person from Europe. You get tanned which changes your phenotype and get expressed in the next filial generation as genotype. It goes on and on till you become Negroid, Mongoloid, Australoid or Caucasoid as the case maybe but it is not a day job. Most of the people in Australia settled there in the 19th century and early 20th century. Thesame is true for the Americas. The bulk of immigration happened comparatively recently but now the world is becoming a global village and travel will become more frequent as well as intermarriages between groups. So, things will continue to blur. However, if you stay in Scandinanvia, you will become somewhat fairer even within a year and become white and blonde as a group after several generations even without inter marriage, other things being equal. |
gatiano:Are you aware that a Norwegian who stayed in Ibadan for a year will look markedly different from one who did not step out of Oslo?. You will be able to tell by just looking. So if 1000 Norwegians relocate to Oyo state and are given land, they will get darker and darker generation after generation whether or not they intermarry with the Yoruba, they may retain their language but will learn Yoruba as second. So, within 3 thousand years, they would be indistinguishable from their neighbours, the Yoruba by phenotype. Infact, I believe that within 15 generations or less they would have become Negroid. |
Phenotype is adaptation to the enviroment. Nothing more. So any group be they Asians or Europeans. Arabs or Red Indians who settle in Yoruba land, drink the water and eat the food, take the sun rays and feel the wind wlll look exactly like the Yoruba after long enough. |
There is pervasive apathy across the globe towards elections and even participation in politics, hence government in its totality. So much so that some countries have had to legislate compulsory voting and there have been instances where people were fined for not voting which shows that the government of such a country is desperate to carry everybody along. It speaks well of them. However, the problem remains that a large number of people see the present popular democracy as filthy. It is easy to reason with them. A duopoly system of ruling party and opposition party is indeed filthy because people support their party members or leaders even directly against common sense and reason. That is indeed very filthy. So we have groups like the Jehovah witness who live on Earth in different nations without participating in government anywhere because something about it does not seem right. There are also other Christian groups like that. There are some hardcore libertarians too who hold the exact same view as the Jehovah witness. To these Libertarians, the present system is tomfoolery, it is repugnant. Any sincere and impartial observer will agree with the Jehovah witness and the hard core Libertarians. To the Jehovah witness 'Satan rules the world we have today'. One will be forced to agree with them if you consider a nation like Nigeria where a man like President Buhari has millions of supporters. Adolf Hitler and other malevolent dictators had millions of supporters. Go to Europe, you see fighting inside national assemblies instead of them to bow to a superior argument, they brawl. Therefore, the Jehovah witness and others elect to steer clear of it all while waiting for when Satan will be displaced and God will become the head of the world bringing sustainable peace and prosperity to all. There are also extremist Muslim groups who like hardcore Libertarians and Jehovah witness are averse to a democratic system of government, preferring an Islamic system of no elections. Groups like ISIS, Boko Haram and the Taliban are some of such groups. So, Jehovah witness, hard core Libertarians, extremist Muslims and etc insist the present political system on the globe is filthy and they have good reasons for their position. AN OGBONI SYSTEM TO THE RESCUE. If instead of the modern style of elections using universal adult suffrage, we have the Ogboni system whereby people who have distinguished themselves as employers of labor, administrators and etc form an Ogboni assembly that will be in control of the political space and hence the governing board of a nation state which includes the President and Ministers, then all these people, that is, the people who presently have apathy for government, will join the system as Ogboni members. The Ogboni assembly is not remunerated, the members all have their means of livelihood but they legally have the power of life and death over members of the national, state or local governing board as the case may be. They are like a kind of Supreme court over members of the governing board of any political space. The Ogboni operates under the motto 'Children of the Earth, hear, 'No Earthling (Ogboni) must do evil to another, if you do evil to another, you will not prosper, if I do evil, I will not prosper'. This is repeated often in Ogboni assemblies. Take a new West African Yoruba country for instance, in the Ogboni national assembly of that country, members of which get copied all the memos served the executives in the governing board (and more in form of videos), there will be Chinese, Americans, Europeans, Hausas, Igbos and etc who are members as of right using the laid down criteria for membership, they will be in control of the governing board of the Yoruba country, watching the members, but those Ogboni members will not receive remuneration, their meetings will be at their own expense but the task of keeping the nation progressing and on the right path will be residual to them. Such a system will solve once and for all the problem of mass inclusion in government as there will be no dissident groups, everybody will be carried along. Jehovah witnesses, hard core Libertarians, extremist Muslims and etc. Though a global society based on common sense/God like the Ogboni system, will as a first call, ban religion. So there will be no Muslims and Christians in a nation state using an Ogboni system. |
The general doctrine of the Aborisha is 'Always operate with empathy, use your common sense always to determine the right and fair thing to do at any time, if any opposition rises against you in the course of doing that, then a force greater than that opposition will automatically rise for you all the time, without exception. That force is Olodumare in action. When you need something from anyone, anything or any spirit, bow down and worship them like a Gentleman. Do not be an idiot who does not worship idols or who believes Olodumare does not want them to worship idols. Olodumare insists that you worship deities and idols for balance and harmony on Earth but do not indulge in evil. Be pious. Olodumare is not Allah or Jehovah who are always agitated. Olodumare is a gentleman. If your MD will not ask you not to greet the Manager, saying 'Greet only me'. Then Olodumare will not ask you not to worship something, someone or anything. Olodumare is not a demon. Revert to what you were created to be, which is a well cultured and reasonable person. An Aborisha. |
When you are in an executive position in politics in Nigeria whether as a LG chairman, State governor or President, you have two choices facing you. One is to make a budget that fits your expected income from oil money and maintain the status quo of corruption and low government expenditure per capita, the other is to take advantage of the millions of people with an income in your state, organise the state with minimum wage for income taxes, land use charges and etc to make a budget that will be funded 90 percent by IGR and free your state to become prosperous and possibly less corrupt. Such a LG chairman, Governor or President will never be forgotten by that constituency in Nigeria or Nigeria as a whole and his or her successors would be forced to live up to standard. It is that kind of person that has proved elusive in Nigeria whether as a military head of state or civilian President, if such a person had emerged, the country would have transformed even if still corrupt but there are actually no country that is heavily taxed, that is still with a high level of government financial corruption. There is none. The least corrupt countries are the Scandinanvian nations and they have tax rates that is around 50 percent of income. So, a person with full character, meaning empathy, compassion for others and moderate intelligence who found himself or herself in the position of government leader in Nigeria has his or her job cut out for him or her. However, it will need proper articulation to party members, so you also need to be a good debater as part of the character. |
It is a very simple art once you understand it. You are earning income, then you spend less than you earn, ploughing the rest into an asset that will bring you income, provided you do not fall sick and you have no Pastor Adeboye laying ambush for you, then you will soon be a millionaire, even a billionaire, if that is your focus. It is a simple undertaking which you do not need to go into crime to see through. Without any capital, you can make money by selling your physical labour, then save part of the money to use for venturing into business. The lower your capital, the higher your returns on your investment. It is possible for somebody with a total investment of one hundred thousand to recover the money within two or three months, especially if the person is a youth with not much expenses. For example, I turned 4 thousand naira into 53 thousand in three weeks in Ikoyi, Lagos, 2001 by retailing GSM cards. If the OAU had not resumed, I would have gone to half a million Naira, then rented a shop, employed someone, the returns on investment may then drop, but depending on the industry and the season that industry is in, it may also shoot up astronomically to maybe ten million naira or more in three years. But let us use a saturated market like the GSM distributorship that I was in, in which there is no room for any innovation other than organisation and pricing. What you are going to gross in profit monthly will be a bit lower than one percent of your real investment. In such a business, there is little or no intellectual property involved, just trading. So, when I had over 1.5 million naira invested in kiosks, paid rent, stock, equipments and consumables, I stretched myself and I was making over 200 thousand naira a month which was over 1 percent of my capital investment layout, however, the business as a going concern was worth at least 3 million naira. That was in 2009. However, expenses were over a hundred thousand naira a month, so, monthly I was saving around 60,000 at least, after expenses, by 2009. So, if the business was valued at 3 million naira as it was, then the gross monthly yield was under 1 percent, like 0.8. That was the figure I and a friend involved in the GSM distributorship arrived at back then. So, if you have 1.5 million naira only, real money in business and goodwill with customers, you can inflate yourself by having many shops, many employees, then you will use credit to stock your shops in part, with good monitoring, you can go up by 75 percent in a year, even 100 percent, to close at 3 million naira for the fiscal year that is worth, like 5 million naira as a going concern but you will need dedicated employees and I had them. So, with ordinary trading with no propping up, you can double your small capital, say, some millions, every year, I was doing better but you will need many people helping you. On the other hand, an investment in real estate yields 10 percent pa on avg. So, to collect rent of 1 million naira pa, you must invest 10 to 15 million in real estate. If you have a big business worth 200 million naira and it has no intellectual property, it will be said to be doing well, if it can grow by 50 to 100 million naira a year, even with intellectual property. That is a lot. It is more difficult with huge capital. Huge companies like Microsoft, Apple will find it hard to grow by 10 percent after expenses, sometimes their yield maybe lower than real estate, if they grow at all but they have thousands of employees and millions of customers. The rule is 'slow and steady'. One must always remember that a large income for the enterprise one heads is only justified by the number and well being of employees. For example, a SME employing some people in Lagos, maybe making 5 million naira a month and 60 million naira a year is at par with an 600 million naira real estate by gross income. An ongoing production concern in a saturated market, say a bakery or a hotel worth 100 million naira can also gross that profit pa before expenses. So in essence, a concern grossing 50 million a year is an around 600 million naira real estate or 100 million naira venture if the concern is using only bank loans, backed with assets that are at work inside the business like office buildings, industrial machines, patents and etc but a business worth less than 100 million naira can still have such gross profit in Nigeria, if it is a priviledged dealership, licensed distributorship and etc. So it goes on. Very straightforward and simple. Your responsibilities. Not less than 30 percent of company profit should go to the employees, not management. In Nigeria, MDs make 6 million, pay less than 1 million as salaries, pay 1 million to banks as interest and spend 1 million on their children overseas, yet they complain of no market as a result of bad economy in a country where big men like them spend one billion dollars a year on children school fees in Ghana alone not to talk of North America. If Ghana alone takes one billion dollars a year of Nigerian money (forex) in school fees, then Europe and North America will take more than that. So how can the economy grow for your business to flourish if you make 6 million naira, pay staff less than a million, Pay banks over a million, and spend 2 million overseas? Multiply that by 200 thousand for people like you. The ideal thing will be to pay 1.5 or 2 million naira to your employees which will mean like double their salaries, while you explain to them how much the business makes every month end and end of fiscal year. That is the best way to run a business. All my books used to be kept by my employees, my debts, profits and etc. I had no business secrets hidden from my employees and I would be ashamed to spend 5 million on a kid while spending a million on ten of my employees. I would not dare. The problem is that business owners take advantage of the no wage regulation regime in Nigeria to abuse workers. European and American companies do not do this but it is done by Nigerians, Chinese, Indians, Lebanese and etc especially to the lower cadre or rank and file of workers. However, there are still fair minded business owners who use the policy of calculating a certain percentage of net profit that must go to the workers as benefits, these people also have their children working alongside their employees, if not as salaries, they make up the percentage as bonuses to the employees but it is the government that must bell the cat by regulating wages to take income tax. I am not against going to school abroad. Not at all. My Dad schooled in the UK, his brother in the US and some of his sisters, my mother's sister schooled abroad. Many school teachers in Ilesa schooled abroad but back then Europeans, Arabs, Americans schooled here as well and here was better run. If everywhere is equalised or the person sponsoring such education is doing so out of real excess and not squeezing it out of the economy as in his or her employees, then it would be right. |
olajide8:Then you should not be accusing anyone of corruption unless they have been convicted. However in normal countries, unexplainable wealth is evidence of corruption. Such wealth are summarily seized by government. That is the practice in normal countries. |
THE BENEFITS OF HAVING CORRECT CENSUS FIGURES, NATIONALISED FINANCIAL SECTOR AND A RELIABLE NATIONAL DATA BASE. One major benefit of having correct census figures with everybody carrying id cards and having current or checking bank accounts is that all economic actors, including entrepreneurs and wage earners will have access to bank credit and that will of course help the economy a lot. For now, in Nigeria, the masses make do with cooperative societies and the majority of economic actors are not members of any. These cooperative societies do help but the help they offer just scratch the surface of the financial help needed to modernise the economy of all nations. There is no better way to revolutionise everything than to nationalise the financial sector in all states with everybody having a cutrent account in nations with correct census figures. If a huge part of government income is interest on loans, bankdraft charges, bank guarantee charges and etc, then bank MDs will not like Mr Erastus Akingbola of Intercontinental bank invest bank deposits in Asian stocks while the loan market here was not saturated to 10 percent. He made the investment and lost the money, collapsing the bank in the process. So it apparently will augur better for the economy if the financial sector were nationalised in a country with reliable census figures. |
THE IMF AND THE WORLD BANK(THE FG OF NIGERIA WILL STILL DEVALUE THE NAIRA IF........) If Nigeria produces everything Nigeria consumes which is not possible, but assuming hypothetically that it is possible, the Federal Government will still devalue the Naira if their dollar income drops from 50 billion dollars a year to 20 billion dollars a year in one year, especially if that dollar income forms 80 percent of government income. They do that by passing more Naira into circulation. So do not be taken in by a FG telling you the IMF or world bank is telling them to devalue the currency, that is playing the ostrich or playing to the gallery. The IMF and World bank do not do that and being not a talkative organisation like I am a talkative person, they will also not take time to explain to you. That will take a lot of energy better saved. What the IMF does is to urge all Central banks to let their currencies exchange freely, meaning do not try to prop up the value when you have arbitrarily increased the volume in circulation. It is an integrity question. The IMF and world bank are an integrity watch dog. So, for the umpteenth time, realize that the IMF does not and will never ask a country to devalue its currency but they will encourage them to be honest and transparent. Also, if oil income plunges to 5 billion dollars a year in Nigeria this year, then expect Naira to exchange at over N1000 to a dollar, even if we are able to produce everything we consume. Be sure the oil money FG will sabotage the economy. Be sure of that. In normal countries, forex is earned and owned by the citizens while the government concerns itself with the currency it issues, not forex. There are exceptions where a normal country has a national company that earns forex but that forex is often a negligible component of government revenue in that country. In the case of Norway, most of the forex is used for national investments that are offshore in places like mainland Europe. The Yoruba part of Nigeria must be earning well over 50 billion dollars a year in forex from farm produce like cocoa, coffee, cashew, kolanuts, then charcoal, timber and many other things, Nollywood films and etc while a huge part of the forex is in form of remittances from high skilled human resources export to North America and Europe. So our forex in the Yoruba country can not be less than 50 billion dollars a year. No zone can come close. Not the oil bearing Niger Delta or any other zone but we control our forex in private domiciliary bank accounts and when the Yoruba country eventually become sovereign, people like me will struggle to ensure government revenue is always 99 percent denominated in the local currency as a policy. |
How do people become evil? Prople become evil by losing balance, they become evil by veering off the narrow path. The narrow path is represented by adherence to the golden rule 'Do unto others what you want others to do unto you'. Be fair in your dealings with others. In other words 'Be rational'. Every original human culture has a theology with stories that mention the entity representing balance and rationality. That entity in Yoruba theology is Esu, the Igbos call it Ekwensu which obviously is referring to thesame original entity known to a common ancestor group to both the Yoruba and Igbo ethnic groups. The theology of all human cultures mention thesame entity, not as an opposer of God but as a faithful servant and connection between man and God. Esu is the force of balance that you need to remain rational. Esu is depicted as Onile orita in Yoruba, he who lives at the junction. We are always at junctions. Yes or No. Right or Left, wrong or right and etc. This makes Esu a very important orisa. The image of Esu is carved at the edge of an Ifa divination tray as the connection between the physical and spiritual plane. Each of the 256 odu ifa has its own peculiar Esu. Everything is a balancing act and it is with Esu that we achieve balance. If we lose balance, Esu will also be the one to laugh us to scorn. A rational person has Esu as his or her ally while an irrational person will be tormented by Esu. So, Esu is not the Biblical satan. The Biblical Satan who is an opposer or opponent of God, does not occur in original Earth theologies or spiritual practices. It is a perversion that occurs only in Abrahamic theologies. Our ancestors named children after Esu, changed their names to a name that glorifies Esu. There was a prominent Oba Alaketu whose name was Esu. There were many people named Esu in Yoruba land before the incursion of Christianity and Islam. The descendants of those people are now gradually changing their names as a result of the kind of society we now live in. As explained above, it can be seen that Esu in our theology is not evil, it represents balance, contemplation and etc. It is totally different from the concept of Satan. An orisa like Ogun represents courage, prosperity inducing innovation and etc. Osun is fertility, Obatala is good governance, Oya is division and etc. Most of which are also evident in lower animals but Esu is what makes us a higher specie since it helps us to be rational. Animals do not need as much as humans to be rational. They depend more on raw instincts. So when Christians and Muslims say Esu is Satan, tell them Esu is not Satan. No Satan in normal human theologies. REFERENCES https://sites.google.com/site/theyo... https://sites.google.com/site/theyo |
