I believe the simple explanation for human existence offered by Yoruba theology which is that as soon as Earth became habitable, land rose above the water and started to expand, it was then that Olodumare created man to live on the land or rather men from outer space already created by Olodumare landed on Earth in space crafts and colonised the place. That first protruding land above the waters is called Ife, now called Ile Ife. Fe means expand, so Ile Ife means the home or starting point of expansion. So, those early Ife people being Mongols or Caucasians would depend on the habitat they came from. They spread over the Earth and have been wiped off many times, whole civilizations of them, so much that we can see the pyramids built by some of them in Egypt but we have no idea how they managed to build it. The present Ile Ife is the successor of the Ife Ooyelagbo inaugurated by the survivors of a global wipe out that happened ten thousand years ago, the penultimate Ife was Ife Oodaye. The last Ife Ooyelagbo is the one in Osun state Nigeria. There is also another site on Igala land which I believe represents the capital at a point before the Igala were conquered by the Jukuns or so to start the Attah line. So in that wise, I see all peoples as Ife people and DNA agrees to a large extent that we are one but we also carry non human DNA, we even carry unexplainable DNA. For example Rhesus negative people have ancestors who were extra humans in a sense. They somehow managed to become humans without having same ancestors as Rhesus monkeys. Apparently, they landed from an extraterrestrial civilization where humans emerged on their own without sharing ancestors with Rhesus monkeys, then landed here to mix and interbreed with Rhesus positive humans. That is the way I see it for now. The irunmales, Ogisos, Annunnaki and etc descended from space but they still all were Ife people in Yoruba theology. So Igbos moreso are also Ife people to me. Before colonisation, Igbos were city shy, they lived and died in villages of less than 2000 people. Arochukwu are the first state builders to emerge from the Igbos directly. Their settlement pattern is like the Yoruba and the Eze Aro is like a Yoruba or Efik monarch. Presumably, Arochukwu emerged when some Nri Igbos sacked an Efik nation and took over the civilization in a way similar to how nomads sack sedentary cultures, only this time, it was an ultra sedentary culture of subsistence farmers sacking a more advanced sedentary culture of the Efik. The Nri culture was started by a mythical figure, the first Eze Nri from God knows where, a priest King with no political authourity abiding with the policy of dividing up a village for easy management whenever the population rises above around two thousand. That way, the Nri multiplied in the forest within a relatively short time. The first Eze Nri possibly or definitely was an Ife man who did not support people being ruled, so he opted out with some others, then merged with some foreigners who were non West Africans maybe around a thousand years ago, they multiplied in the forest, paid small protection money to the Kingdoms surrounding them and those ones left them alone, they multiplied rapidly and are the nucleus of the Igbo people today. The Igbo language is their language, the Osu caste is their culture as a result of long term isolation. Because they were traders and because of their numbers, because of intermarriage and etc, many neighbouring people adopted their language and later idenity, these people including Anioma people, were Igala, Yoruba and Edo originally but now are Igbos in identity. Any original Igbo culture must have the Osu caste system, if not, they were not original Igbos ie Nri villagers though there are shades of everything. The caste system will be preserved more if the society was not disturbed by wars. So Anambra has no Osu because the place is a mix of Igala and Nri Igbos and ostensibly was a theatre of war in the past. Funnily Igbos who must have started off as a few peace loving Ife folks mixed with some foreigners turned out to be the most aggressive Nigerian ethnic group after independence by their attempt to take over other people's lands which led to the civil war in which millions died and their secessionist state defeated and merged again with Nigeria. Neither the West nor the Midwest were allowing the Northerners to attack the East or Biafra from their soil and they made that stand known, especially the Midwest Governor, Colonel Ejoor who publicly insisted that the Midwest must not be turned into war theater to get at Biafra but the Biafrans, largely descendants of city and war shy villagers invaded the Midwest, non soldiers made up of Ijaw, Itsekiri and Urhobo attacked them and killed 50 soldiers, yet they did not see the handwriting on the wall and they moved their troops into Yoruba territory without clearance or approval from any authourity. The Yoruba are more than them in population. Due to the fact that the Midwest and the West joined the war to fight them and also due to the fact that some Eastern minorities were against them, they lost the war within three years as would be expected and were re annexed to Nigeria. So, many, like the current President Buhari of Nigeria and many others are quick to remind them that they have been conquered and should know their place. They say this also to other people seeking freedom from the immoral and decrepit Nigerian state. It is time for everybody to reject the idea that Nigeria is a prison or jail where the majority of West Africans have been sentenced to. three of the major West African nations ie Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa are trapped in Nigeria, the pseudo nation in West Africa where nothing works, the biggest tumble down or failed nation in the world. It is time for all peace lovers and lovers of progress to reassure the Igbos that they are not a conquered nation, they are one of the main nations in Africa. What igbos need is to negotiate with their immediate neighbours like the Efiks, Ijaws, Ibibios and etc, assurring them of cooperation and assuring them that they are not going to be forced into a Biafran nation if they do not want to. So, instead of a Biafran referendum that the IPOB are asking for, what the Igbos should push for is several referendums, 4 or 5 at once if that will relax the mind of their neighbours from the fear of Igbo domination. As Igbos do not want to be dominated by others of a different culture and language whose world view may be different from theirs, their neighbours too do not want to disappear under Igbos, they want to use their language as official language and preserve their culture, have a UN representative. So it is a matter of empathy. negotiate with others so they can have their military and police, control over their economy and future and you also will have thesame thing automatically. Igbo land will be militarized with Igbo soldiers and policed with Igbo police and it will no longer be possible for outsiders tom invade Igbo land to kill Igbos anymore while they are able to walk free. You get it only if you want it for others. Access to the sea or not, there should be an Igbo nation speaking Igbo as an official language and Yorubas will be in that nation. Even today, non Ikwerre Igbos can not be said to outnumber Yorubas in Port Harcourt. In Onitsha, Yorubas must definitely outnumber the indigenes and etc. Igbos are not more scattered in Nigeria than Yorubas but maybe they are more inside certain markets. To have a home to point to as somewhere your people developed is confidence that can not be beaten. |
When my biological family rose against me and handed me over to Pastor Adeboye to be tormented until I submit to and embrace their born againism like a zombie, it was President George W Bush that made the drastic decision that saved me, the decision to dig in with his first daughter, Barbara Bush Junior under the leadership of President George H W Bush, the patriarch of the family, so while I was a lamb under the care of wolves, I was being watched over by the CIA, while I paid tithes and offerings to the RCCG as Pastor Adeboye went to a juju man to make me go insane, I was under the security of the CIA. While my mother was poisoning my food with poison intercepted and deadened by the CIA, while Bishop Oyedepo sent hired assassins after me and etc, I was fully secured by the CIA. From when the Bush family dug in to save me, the whole of the US elite, other people like Evangelist Bonnke and many others joined the train one by one. While people come to my wall to insult me, the CIA people pass important information across to me, they work with like minded people in Nigeria who communicate with me via inbox and on my wall. These people do not insult me like many, including biological family and former friends come to my wall to do. They know without being told that I am doing something very important, so they assist any way they can. While I was being dragged in the mud by Pastor Adeboye, Bishop Oyedepo, their cohorts, aided, abetted and facilitated by my biological family, Barbara Bush junior continued to pray that I will quickly get wise to her, the woman that have been waiting for me since the year 2000 when I was twenty year old and she was nineteen. On getting wise to her and mentioning her name in the public, the ladies I mistakenly asked for relationships one after the other, who then joined the Pastors and my biological family to run me down would of course instantly simmer down after comparing themselves to her and I would gain some credit. I did not get wise to her until maybe late 2013 and after we properly connected, she removed herself from social media, heaving a sigh of relief after the hectic work. So I have a family but not the one you think. My next of kin is Barbara Bush jnr whose life would be ruined if I dropped dead now. The one person who would be most hit, worst hit, if I suffer any misfortune. The one whose life and destiny is intertwined with mine. That is my next of kin. The link I have with the people who saved me from being killed cheaply by Pastor Adeboye the way he killed Chief Bola Ige, Engnr Funsho Williams, General Sanni Abacha and a host of others. So that is the love of my life, the very first woman ever to be certain I am going to marry her. I have never sealed a marriage contract with any woman ever. Barbara is my first and only and when I settle down, become a man of great means and have a daughter, I will train her up to be an excellent model of womanhood, then find a serious minded young man to help achieve his dreams and he will marry my daughter. Definitely such a man will be around by that time, I will find such a man. I owe the universe that, to find such a man. Apart from that, if you have a daughter, you want to be sure she is in safe hands when you are gone and you would be looking for a serious minded and hardworking man to marry her. Nobody is more hardworking and more serious minded than I am. No one worked harder than I did in Ile Ife and no business man of my rank was approached by investors in Ile Ife more than I was. Unsolicited offers of investment from two bank managers and two millionaires in Ile Ife is an unparallelled testimonial but Adeboye blocked them all. The nincompoop with no grey matter. He never knew he was preparing his own gallows. He manipulated things to his heart's content, he never understood why he was prevented from killing me. Filth. So once again, my other half is Barbara Bush without whom I can not function, without whom all sorts of women will be trampling on me in conjunction with my biological family, having a laugh. So, we are made for each other. She and her family are who I want to keep happy. Not you There are people who never doubted that I am a quality person, who never for a second waivered from that conviction despite the desperate and violent efforts of my biological family, Adeboye and etc. Those people are my family, we should all find ours. No matter, how good, how bad, how deficient, how perfect you are, you will always have family meaning people who believe in you, who are on thesame team with you. Who I am totally meshed with is Barbara Bush jnr and we are both under the elders who have been watching Pastor Adeboye for decades even when we were toddlers, and also under the millions of good people in the army of God the creator who is going to reset the global society using Pastor Adeboye, the cannibal Pastor and his people as scapegoats. We are family with all the people who are the army of God. |
The question is like the question of existence, it can not really be answered. it is one of the evidences of creation. It mocks our intelligence. |
In the past, women used to have up to ten children, so less power to do farm work and etc, the man had to be the breadwinner, that was the beginning of patriarchy but in stable and less warlike societies, women would or maybe preferred to lead. There were many female Obas in stable Yoruba states but the more warlike ones had all men but on the overall, women will always do less work than men, less physical and intellectual work. it may haveto do with adrenaline but in spite of that, women may still be preferred to lead. For example, when women could not vote in England, they had a female monarch. |
In the past, every individual had a unique way of approaching the other world or God which they designed themselves. They had personal temples or shrines, then they know how to do basic divinations for Yes or No answers and etc. That was why Abraham had the God of Abraham. Terah, his father, had the God of Terah and Laban the God of Laban. Nimrod their King also had the God of Nimrod and etc. No one was left behind. Everybody was up and doing, adding flavour to the mix. You worship the God of Abraham only as a friend or slave of Abraham. If you go to Edunabon, Osun state Nigeria today, this morning, you can make arrangements with the Alagbaa to help you instal or inaugurate a new divinity with which to harness the power of Olodumare under agreed upon terms. So, you can conceptualise it anyhow you want. You may be bowing towards New York, Mecca, Paris or Ere Ijesa, facing the place to pray. You can be using the names of your ancestors or that of others to pray or cast spells. That will be your prerogative and choice and people were advanced enough in the past unlike Christians and Muslims today, to know that you do not go about preaching to others to follow your way monotonously like robots and if they dont, they will burn in hell. You dont tell people how to serve God, because that would be totally insane. No one can serve God. No one can directly help or assist beings in the other world or realm. God created us, so the only help we can offer that God is to continue the work of creation by offering help to fellow humans and animals to make the world a better place. God created us to enjoy, you dont make something to destroy it. This is how we know God is against immorality since all immoral acts are destructive. In Yoruba theology, as you exist in this realm, you also exist in the other world and that person, that you, in the other world is your Eleda, the real you that you must never be separate from. You are to your Eleda, what a statue of you is to you. Before anything happens to you, your Eleda agrees and accepts and etc. Guys like Jesus and Mohammed can not just arrive on the scene to say 'Do this do that, believe this, believe that, I am this and that, and face this city to pray five times a day and you will be saved. If people ten thousand years ago were too advanced and too wide awake to fall for such crap and bullshit. It should not be 21st century people that will fall for such. Any evil minded or megalomaniac person who learnt magic can start a religion and start mind manipulations, gaining followers, it can become a state religion later with billions of followers. It does not make it true and such still happens even today. The founder of the Mormons for instance was said to have once being convicted of obtaining money by false pretence and the Mormon church is so big now without ever being a state religion anywhere. That man was a man like Isa bin Pantheras aka Jesus Christ while the headship of Boko Haram and ISIS are like Prophet Mohammed in everything. Arson, rape and etc over God. So, people should brush up themselves to salvage what is left of humanity and abandon the toxic practices of Islam and Christianity immediately. If you want a relationship with God, get in touch with experts in your own culture, set up a temple in your house and learn to meditate and how to concentrate, learn divination methods and how to harness the energy of God which is free for all at no cost. Do not let your fellow human being, a person like you point to a dog and tell you 'That is a monkey'. |
Husband and wife fight, tongue and teeth fight and there are bad people in all groups. Fighting is no big deal but Igbos are big enough to be a sovereign nation with army and police. That nation will be more than Ghana. It need not be Biafra if non Igbos will not join but support them to have their own sovereign state as well. Without a state with well entrenched armies and police, independent control of their economy and future the Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa and etc nations will likely remain on one spot for a long time. |
There is a difference between how Earthlings used to connect with God before the rise of Abrahamic spiritualities and how the people of Abrahamic spiritualities connect with God. The difference is very noticeable. Christians, Muslims and their ancestor, Jews hold other humans, other Earthlings separate from themselves and call them Gentiles, unbelievers, Kaffirs or infidels and such classification is based on their belief that they are somewhat better than these people. It is so bad that in Nigeria, confraternity initiates in Nigerian higher institutions call non frats 'Jews'. Despite that there are no indigent Jews in Nigeria, possibly the practice is a spillover from Europe and North America. While blaming Hitler and the Nazi regime for the crime of the Jewish holocaust, it must be noted that it was also a result of centuries of European Jewry holding themselves separate, having different places of worship, dismissing others as Gentiles even while not being a proper nation for not having a homeland. It piled up resentment that has played out in several places in Europe over the centuries. Jews were expelled from Britain and Spain. Shakespeare wrote a play to spite Jews and etc. All because Jews do not fraternise with others, holding themselves separate. The Nazis merely brought to a head what was brewing for centuries and it was a huge success because Jews had no state, no platform upon which to project themselves and their values. The lesson there is if you are a nation, you need a state urgently to protect your interests. Igbos, Hausas, Yorubas and etc need a nation to protect their interests. This is why I support the establishment of the state of Israel. They deserve their spot. No matter their excesses. Their spirituality is for their people and they are not obsessed with conquering the world the way Christians and Muslims are obsessed with that, making them more sensible by far. I digress. We can not say we are practicing a religion if we are sensible and do not see other humans as infidels, Kaffirs or unbelievers. If our brains are open and working, that is not a religion. If we are not in spiritual bondage, we can not call it a religion. If we dont see a fellow human, a Jesus or Mohammed as something we can never become, then we have no religion, if our vision of God is not that of a savage beast burning people in hell for unbelief, then we are not hooked on the drug called religion. If we embrace other human beings, that is not a religion. I am an Aborisha but I have no religion. Only Abrahamic people have religions, in my opinion. Shintos, Wiccans, Buddhists, Hindus, Aborishas and etc have no religion. They embrace all humans. God has no religion. There is always shades of everything. So Jews somewhat have religion that stops them from fraternizing with others but they are not going about trying to convert others viz a viz threatening children and weak minded folks with hell fire. So they are within tolerable limits since they are not terrorizing other humans as Christians and Muslims are doing. |
TANTUMERGO007:As time goes on, your eyes will clear. The Jesus you mention was most probably a member of Ogboni or something similar in Kemitic Egypt. The Ogboni cry is Eriwoya! From which I believe Haleluyah is derived from. Peter means rock and that is ede Ife or Yoruba language. Peter is same thing as Apata which means rock in Yoruba. There are so many indications and tell tale signs that show that Jesus whom you worship was an Awo who derailed by equating himself to God. |
The owner of the Ogboni is Obatala A fun nini gba fun aini O so eni kan soso di igba eni A nire niwa Ani wa nire. Baba nla oko Yemoo Oba ala funfun gboo O sun ninu ala. O tinu ala dide Aji ma je nkan to leegun A pa gbin je ma pokolo Yeepa orisa o! Yeepa orisa o! Yeeparipa! Baba |
macof:Yes, the guy is right, the Ogboni can be said to be a one party system of government or a zero party system of government. |
9jacrip:I am not Ogboni but I am a student of the Earth cultures and I understand why the Ogboni fraternity was formed and what it represents. The Ogboni was formed to keep the power in the hands of the people and as a check on those who may be inclined to misuse authourity. The most important thing in the Ogboni is the solemn prayer or oath by the members saying 'I will not prosper if I do evil against another human being'. This keeps an Ogboni member sober at all times. If that solemn oath is absent and the attitude of abiding by it is also absent, then that is not an Ogboni fraternity. Also, a group formed to facilitate osole rituals that involves human rituals is not an Ogboni faternity but something else. |
9jacrip:Ogboni is Ogboni but anything can be perverted but the article below I believe represents the original purpose https://www.nairaland.com/3090068/children-earth |
We often refer to a portion of the Earth as ours, representing a country, state or ancestral land but in reality, the Earth owns us. We are her children. We are made of Earth, which is why our clothes get dirty from the inside as well as from the outside. If 1000 people are put on Earth, within a few centuries of procreation, they might have become 100 thousand and the mass of Earth would have been reduced by the mass of the 99 thousand new people. People are formed from the food they eat which are formed from the Earth. So we are Earth. Total mass remains constant. The Earth is our mother and this is the basis of the Ogboni fraternity or society. Iba Ile Otete Lanbua Aterere kari aye Agbohunmafo tooto Je ka gbo Je ka to Ase Edumare Edumare Ase Translation I pay Homage to Otete's Earth Who is spread like a carpet all over the world. She who hears but does not speak. The true mother. Grant us longevity and prosperity Ase Edumare Edumare Ase All Ogboni members see each other as siblings or Omo iya which means children of thesame mother. The Iya or mother being the Earth. So one Ogboni intiate will address the other as 'Omo iya' meaning 'child of the mother or child of my mother'. The Ogboni mantra runs thus Igba omo ile ki e gbo o Irinwo omo ile ki e gbo o Eni ba se ika ko ma la o Gbogbo omo ile ki e gbo o E ma ma se ika ke le la o Hear ye 200 children of the Earth Hear ye 400 children of the Earth Whoever does wrong must not prosper Hear ye all ye children of the Earth Do not ever do wrong so that you will prosper. The function of the Ogboni society is to prevent the unnecessary shedding of blood on Earth's surface or Ile unless in sacrifice. The Ogboni also serves as a check on the government. Yoruba fights do not often degenerate into bloody encounters because of the Ogboni as the fighting parties will have to answer to the Ogboni, fined heavily and etc. It served as a means of maintaining order in the city. All Omo Iya as initiates call themselves must support each other. Disagreements must be civil and once a consensus has been reached it must be respected by all. Dissenters must hold their peace. Visitors to Yoruba land in the past noticed that fights never turned bloody among the Yoruba in their towns because of the Ogboni unlike what obtains among some neighbouring people to the Yoruba that did not have the Ogboni society. So the order was attributed to the Ogboni institution. The Earth is our mother and we are all siblings. Developing your portion of the Earth is respecting the Earth, shunning violence, holding back from spilling blood on Earth, using deliberations and negotiations instead of war, to reach a consensus is respecting mother Earth. We are all Earthlings, children of the Earth or as the Ogboni would say 'Omo Iya'. We are Omo Ile to whose belly we all shall return. Iba Ile o! Ase Edumare. |
There are presently, numerous videos online showing legislators fighting physically amongst themselves in their national assemblies. There are very many of these videos online from different countries, even the United States. Then we have Russia, Turkey, Britain, Germany and etc. Such occurrence goes to show that public administration or government has been trivialized in the overwhelming majority of nations because even boards of corporations meet and the meetings do not degenerate into fisticuffs. They have rules of engagement. Even if one public company is going to take over another public company via a hostile take over, I believe it can never degenerate into a physical showdown because they have rules of engagement which they stictly adhere to. The problem of brawling legislative assemblies is global in extent and maybe a few countries like China and Singapore may be somewhat exempt if I am correct. It calls for concern because such brawling legislative assemblies is totally indicative of a fault in the structure of public asministration which would not have been there if proper rules of engagement were put in place. In pre colonial Yoruba land, there was an Ogboni council or assembly in every Yoruba domain, city or small town with officers like Oluwo, Apena and etc. Every free man was a member of the Ogboni assembly in his town, only slaves were barred from joining. The Ogboni members assemble frequently under the leadership of their officers and they discuss matters of importance to the town, city or state in an offhand manner and reach unanimous decisions which every member must stand by, no matter what and against all odds. The Ogboni were in full control of the Yoruba domain in the past and the Obas and the Oloyes worked for them. They were their servants. What to take note of is that there has never been a situation whereby an Ogboni meeting ended up in fisticuffs, verbal abuse or physical showdown. They have been able to maintain decorum for thousands of years. No fight in an Ogboni assembly, no bitterness and no disagreement whatsoever. No allignments according to political parties too. All free men were members. The Ogboni were able to achieve such a decorum because they have a standing rule 'NO MEMBER SHOULD MOVE A MOTION OR SUGGEST SOMETHING THAT IS UNFAIR TO ANOTHER HUMAN BEING WHEREVER THAT ONE IS IN THE WORLD WHETHER A FREE MAN OR A SLAVE'. That rule of engagement is what has gotten the Ogboni confraternity so far. They have thus being able to maintain decorum. To oppose a motion in an Ogboni assembly, all you have to do is to show how it is unfair to someone else, whether or not the person is an Ogboni member, and the motion will be dropped immediately and unanimously. Such a rule of engagement is what ought to be adopted by all national assemblies across board to put an end to the maladministration and rowdiness that is now normal in our modern democracies. National Assemblies modelled after the Ogboni will definitely solve the problem once and for all. |
To have everything you need must be very boring indeed, if not especially harmful to your health. If you had everything you need, you would not need to speak, go to work and etc which means you need not be alive. What is most important for any individual, whether they realise it or not, is to be happy, not to have money or any other thing and the only way to be happy, the only way to have lasting happiness is to form the habit of helping others selflessly, to add value to the lives of others around you any way you can as a form of getting high, the way some people get high on drugs. There is no other way to achieve happiness. Money does not bring happiness and happiness is the most important thing. Poor people, some so called, poverty stricken people often end up happier than many materially wealthy people because they help people around them in the little ways they can, when chanced or if they have the means, they sit down and make friends with old, lonely people, offer sincere advise to people without expecting reward. All these bring happiness which money can not buy. If you make people happy, you end up happy yourself whether or not you have money. Someone like Bill Gates whose foundation is committed to eradicating disease after disease on Earth is a happy person added to being the richest person in the world. So a society should be solving problems continuously because a society with no problem to solve is dead, same with an individual. Some people are content with living from hand to mouth. So far they have enough to take care of self and family, they are okay. Some do not even intend to raise a family and will never marry, so all they need is a small income and where to earn it. They want to remain accessible to all, to be able to experience everybody in their true colors, they dont want airs, but many ignorantly look upon such people as unfortunate and poverty stricken. One man's food is another's poison. A bush man in the Kalahari desert does not and will never have thesame outlook to life as a city dweller or a company CEO and that does not mean the CEO or city dweller is better off. For all we know, the bush man might be happier, if he is doing more selfless service for others. Balance is very important. For example, nomads can never build an advanced human civilization, only sedentary folks can do that but then a sedentary lifestyle or civilization, practiced for long enough can lead to a situation of decivilization like religion as in Christianity and Islam where adults are scared stiff of being deposited in hell fire by God. So a little to the right and a little to the left to achieve balance always. This requires the brutal and ruthless application of common sense. There is virtue in poverty or scarcity and virtue in plenty. Virtue in individualism and virtue in collectivism and etc. It is for us, it is our responsibility to strike a balance. |
mrvitalis:State of origin is good for data but not good for planning. It does not give us the population of states which is what we need. What do you need state of origin for? Though I too will like to see it. |
YourMrBoo:I believe number of retakers can not be substantial, it does not hinder to any reasonable extent what this statistics can be used for ,being negligible or fairly constant. |
This table is here for all as a reliable to a large extent template for the population of Nigerian states relative to each other. By this table, Lagos is number one, followed by Kaduna, followed by Oyo and etc. If we work with the assumption that Lagos is 20 million people, any student of mathematics can use proportions to derive the population of each Nigerian state, then determine the population of Nigeria as at 2014. What you will arrive at will not be too far from the reality.

I recently came upon a blog, I think Times of India, where some Hindus from India were discussing how Muslims and Christians are taking over India inch by inch by converting poor Hindus to their practices. One of them complained that a lecturer at a Christian university warned him off dating one of his students, saying 'You can not date her'. The Hindus wondered why Christians and Muslims have to go about converting people when what they should just do is to be managing those they have already. The Hindus agree it is not auguring well for India at all and I agree with them. India is the main country to have been fully exposed to Islam and Christianity through, first, Muslim conquest, then British colonization for centuries and yet remaining adamantly on the right path insisting that the ways to spiritual salvation are numerous. That statement is embedded in the Indian constitution. Hindus are pointedly against trying to convert people to religions. That is the main thrust of Hinduism. To Hindus, it is wrong to threaten unbelievers of your stupid and incredible Bible or Quran tales with hell fire but the Indian constitution is yet to stipulate a punishment for such. Possibly because Europeans who colonized them are also fully involved in the industry. It is time Hindus wake up and smell the coffee, it is time Hindus took a stand. What part of 'All of you must bow down and worship me' can we not understand?. The sect of Christianity or Islam that will be inaugurated by this time tomorrow will package their own heresy which they will label as absolute, irrefutable and unblemished truth, they will teach it to children and weak minded folks who will follow them like cattle, kill for them, poison people for them and etc. They can only be stopped by a society with a strong resolve, a strong will. Again, Deeper Life, The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Mountain of Fire, Jehovah witness, the Mormons, Catholic church and etc, all have their own package of heresies that they are indoctrinating people with and their intention is to TAKE OVER THE WORLD, to turn all human beings into Jesus robots. This is what is stated in their constitutions. They do not intend to stop or slow down until the whole world is under them, until we are all slaves to their brand of heresy. A small outfit like T B Joshua's wants nothing less than the whole world at T B Joshua's feet worshiping him. All heads of state coming to seek his permission before doing anything and they are also in competition with each other for souls. They set assassins against each other and against rebels in a supremacy showdown. Among Muslims, Shiites and Sunni are involved in a fight to the death. Nigeria's army under a Sunni President recently opened fire on unarmed Shiites and killed around 1000 of them including women and children. So that is how it is going on, that is the situation we are all faced with. So a Hindu majority nation like India can not just sit down and be complaining, they need to enforce what is in their constitution. 'Nobody must must attempt anymore to convert others to any religion with threats or even subtly'. Then we already know those doing that which are Muslims and Christians, so, we move a step forward and pointedly ban them and their evil expansionist agenda. With good reasons why they are doing so, majority Hindu nations like India and Nepal should place a ban on Christianity and Islam before it is too late. Let Pakistan and Bangladesh also place a ban on Hinduism if they can articulate a good reason to do so. After Nepal and India have done this, they should strengthen economic ties with Muslim countries and advise their citizens in those places to do in Rome as Romans do. Such an action by India and Nepal will be a major leap forward for mankind. Hinduism also has its fault, like the caste system and their lynching of people over beef consumption but all those are manageable. There are no inter caste marriage. Fine. You can not force people to marry each other and there are many Dalits who are high quality people and I believe there are majority Dalit states in India with which they can showcase themselves, then even Mahatma Ghandi the Indian hero would be rejected for marriage by some Brahman. So far it does not lead to violence and Dalits are upwardly mobile in the society, the situation is still manageable. In India, Dalits are not made priests unlike in Nigeria where the Osus are the priests or people dedicated to the deity among the Igbos despite being outcasts, so, Dalits can abandon those temples and set up their own. Hinduism has its own blemishes but it is not a scourge on humanity like Christianity and Islam with the fixation of their various sects on total subjugation by force of the rest of humanity. I will be in support of full independence for a majority Dalit state carved out of India if possible. |
GorkoSusaay:It is wrong to be glorying on what Ilorin did as Fulani achievement. Ilorin was a breakaway Oyo successor, comprised of majority Yoruba like all Yoruba states. No Yoruba state is 100 percent Yoruba even today. Ilorin was never conquered by Fulani or Hausa but in 1845, the most prominent Balogun was the Balogun Gambari of Hausa descent, in 1877 during the Jalumi war when Ilorin was allied with Ijesa, the most prominent Balogun was Ajiun, a Yoruba, he led the Ilorin during the Jalumi war. Subsequently it was Balogun Alanamu that was in control of the place and he was deported to Jebba by Britain, later to Lokoja, then the Balogun Ajikobi was recognised by Lugard as the one traditionally in charge, he was also sent on exile by Britain. No Fulani was sent on exile during the struggle and the so called Emir was a chief Imam and not a paramount chief. Balogun Ajikobi signed the protection agreement with Britain. Now, the present Emir is Dan Gambari and not Dan Fulani, so Ilorin was not part of the Sokoto caliphate. Abdulsalam led the Ilorin down south once and was stopped by the Ijesa during the Pole war, they lost the major part of their calvary in that expedition inside the Ijesa forest. Later Ibadan stopped them at Osogbo. There were Fulanis and Hausas among them but the vast majority were Yorubas because Ilorin never fell to Fulanis or Hausas at any time. Ilorin was never invaded. If the Emir position is what is shirking some people, thank God the present Emir is of Hausa descent and not Fulani. It will nevertheless be reversed or revised to accomodate those who were exiled by the British, that signed the protection agreement, then the Afonja as well. So, it appears Fulani and Hausa elements reached their peak in Ilorin in the 1840s but even then Ajikobi was there, after that short spell, the Yoruba took over again. Some of my great Uncles who were Muslims must have relocated to Ilorin and fought on the Ilorin side. So if Yoruba Muslims connived with a few Hausas and Fulanis to jihad against other Yoruba, you can not be glorying in that as a Fulani. Fulbe jihad states are in the NW and a small part of the NC, no Yoruba land is there. |
The Objective spiritual system of the original Earth people-The Yoruba as a case study. The Muslims and Christians have done a lot destroying the legacy of the true God. They have killed millions to instil the fear of what they worship on humanity. Both groups and all their subgroups claim to know it all and one of their defininihg characteristics is that they expect you to believe some idiotic tales like Jesus is son of God, Mohammed is the last prophet and hears Allah's voice, Mary was a virgin and etc. If you do not believe, their theology says you will be deposited in hell and burnt by God forever. In traditional Yoruba practice, well trained Awos use magic to accomplish anything that can be imagined, these are what Christians and Muslims refer to as miracles. To the Awo, there is no miracle because everything is brought about by the use of Olodumare's ase through the guidance of well trained Awos who must have spent over 15 years to acquire the equivalent of a Bachelors degree, starting off from his own father, then to other places before setting up as a private practitioner, he then continues studying to the equivalent of Masters and PhD. The person that made the first okigbe (wound sealer) was equivalent of a PhD, the first maker of ayeta (bullet proof) was another, egbe (disappearance when you are in danger) was one too. So it is a science, a way of tapping into the power of Olodumare and harnessing it. The general logic is that 'Anything technology can do, magic can do more and at an infinitely cheaper cost, if you know how to approach it, you know how to do the imule or covenant and etc and it will be no miracle, just cause and effect. The Awo do not peddle miracles like Christian and Muslim clerics. They are artisans trained to use the power of Olodumare to achieve any end by following certain principles. To become an Awo, you will learn by heart the 256 odu ifa combinations and how to recognise them, how to print them for rituals and their panegyrics and stories behind them. In short, someone referred to as a Babalawo knows almost 3 thousand Ifa verses by heart, stories and all and all the necessary ebos and etutu for each condition. This takes years of training in methodology and practice but of course it is worth it. Learning the mysteries is worth it because it makes you a more complete, aware and powerful human being. All Awos work under Olodumare whom they believe the irunmales that assist them do the things they do are under. I have seen an Awo assure someone 'Do this and this and your stolen laptop computer will be returned before a certain date' and the computer was returned by the thief. So such an Awo is a human being who sends irunmales on errands, he knows how to and he knows irunmales are ultimately responsible to Olodumare, the entity who is always solidly behind truthfulness and righteousness, who will ensure you fail and are exposed if you are a deceiver and a dishonest person like Pastor Adeboye of the RCCG and Bishop Oyedepo of Winners Chapel. The Ifa priests are central to Yoruba spirituality and magic but there are other priesthoods who also use divination like Sango, Ayelala and etc. They have their specialities and their rules. An Ayelala devotee for instance must not tell a lie under any circumstances, must not fornicate, commit adultery and etc because of the nature of the duties of an Ayelala priest. An Oje also must not be given to frivolous speech, ostensibly because the Oje is mouthpiece of the ancestors. The difference in practice between Aborisha and Abrahamic practices is that Aborisha practice is scientific in approach, it encourages innovation and has no limit, no holy books. Then you can only practice as an individual practitioner, you are not allowed to establish corporations with twenty thousand branches reaping billions of naira in turnover. You develop yourself, get apprentices, teach them, develop them and after they are capable, they set up on their own. It is a subsistence practice, you can not buy a private jet as a Babalawo, no matter the extent of your spiritual development but there is a union of practitioners and members pay dues which are appropriated by the Oluwo in council. That can be a lot of money but it will be union money like the NUT, NBA and etc. Olodumare does not speak, irunmales do not speak and they cant be seen. Correspondence with them is through signs which anyone can learn how to decipher. Their power is harnessed through certain procedure and methodology which anyone can learn and you continue to learn until you die. There is so much to learn. The average Awo is cool headed and not given to much talk. They prefer to consult the oracle than talk. A Babalawo needs ase and to enhance your ase, you have to be an upright and righteous person. You only say what you know is true or keep quiet, that way, you have a strong ase which helps you as a practicing Awo. Olodumare who sits upon it all is turned on only by perfection, righteousness, truthfulness, commitment and hard work which are what can save you. |
It is time for West Africa to be delineated into traditional nation states. Enough of marking time as pseudo nations where interests can never be alligned, where there is no common language or culture. There is a Yoruba sphere in West Africa, Igbo sphere, Hausa sphere and etc who speak thesame language and have thesame culture and have done so for centuries. Those people can be able to work together under an atmosphere of healthy rivalry among their subgroups. It will not be so bad that a PMB will claim to be allied with Yorubas who voted for him but yet stop a Yoruba man from becoming Kogi state governor at all cost despite that the Igala person who won the election died and the Yoruba man, James Faleke was the deputy. So staying in a Nigeria where that kind of evil is normal is totally unwise for the Yoruba, Hausa or any other group. The Yoruba are the foremost African group. A Nigeria where a PMB was against the National id card project and etc is going no where. There was a nuclear energy conference a while ago in Europe and the only two Africans in attendance were Yoruba Professors. Many of our people have won science awards and etc and it is obvious that we will do far better on our own, in our own sovereign nation with traditional allies. The Bariba for instance are Yoruba traditional allies while most Nupe, save some, went down with the Fulbe jihad in the 19th century. The Fon are Yoruba people as well in culture, tradition and spirituality. There is probably no Fon person who does not speak the Yoruba language, the Ewe too are in the Yoruba sphere. So Togo, Benin and Nigerian Yorubas and Baribas should be one nation doing great things together and delineated into traditional states up to 20 or more . That country will be over a hundred million in population. The Ogboni can administer that country, same way the CIA administers the US. The Ogboni is based on fairness to all humans. If something is unfair to anyone, that thing will not be supported by the Ogboni. The Ogboni are against 'ika' which is the Kemitic Egyptian word, now Yoruba word for evil or unfairness. If the UN is reorganised, representation will definitely be by GDP initially and GDP will be determined by number of workers and as everything evens out, the number of workers will be same for thesame population size. Population will eventually be the determinant of UN representation, but for now, the Yoruba population is younger than Germany's, so the German population is more productive, having more workers, has a higher GDP and will have more than double the UN reps of the Yoruba country as of today if economic output were used to allocate UN seats, but later, when we have thesame average age, same dependency ratio, same number of workers and etc as Germany, the new Yoruba sphere that will then be a nation consisting of Fon, Bariba, Yoruba, Ewe will eventually have more Reps than Germany. Just like the Chinese will eventually have more than 3 times the number of US Reps in a restructured UN that is more inclusive. Presently, the Yoruba sphere is like 1.5 percent of world population, if it steadies at that, a 700 member UN assembly will have 10 people from the Yoruba nation when everything evens out while the US will have like 35 but those are estimates based on population, assuming the population are same quality but they are not for now. Some nations have an average age of 18 years while Europe is over 40 years average age. By population, China will have 4 times the UN reps of the US but by economic output, they can not have 120 percent for now. So it is a mix and I will say, economic output should be the initial determinant of UN representation in a new restructured and all inclusive UN and within a few decades, when average age become balanced worldwide and everywhere is uniformly organised, economic output will be a direct function of population. If it were so today, the Yoruba nation will have around 10 reps, the US 35, China 140, Germany around 10, India 140 and etc but it is not yet so and the productivity of nations are not equal yet, so economic output is what is fair to use. A nation filled with children can not be at par with one filled with adults and economic actors. So the Yoruba should look ahead, Nigeria is over, we should encourage others to stand as well. Our everything should be Yoruba as an identity and language while we use English side by side. We are the ambassadors of Yoruba. There are 100 million in West Africa and another 100 million in the Western hemisphere who speak the language to varying extents and practice the culture. We are a world brand. We need to abandon Christianity and Islam and be Yoruba, original children of God at peace with fellow humans, not looking down on any human culture but seeking to preserve them all. That is the Japanese, Chinese and the general Far Eastern outlook to life, it is what God created us to be. As Nigeria goes down and a new world unfolds, we should not be caught unawares as Yoruba. |
We need peace and development. It is better the country be broken up along the lines of ethnicity and language. Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo, Igala, Ijaw are plenty, they all deserve a spot on the international stage and they should use their language as official language. There is no basis for Nigeria's unity. That is the problem. Ilorin people are Yoruba and they will be as independent as possible. The most that some Ilorin can say is 'some of my ancestors were Fulani, Hausa, Nupe and etc but they themselves are now Yoruba. In Igala, Nupe, Hausa and etc, they have people descended from Yoruba as well who are no longer Yoruba. So Yoruba are one. I also have non Yoruba heritage and ancestors. It does not make me less Yoruba. One thing is that I hope Christianity and Islam will be banned in the new Yoruba nation, so that we become peaceful children of God like the Japanese, Chinese and etc. |
A Global village for a crime free Global society Why were villages all over the world in pre industrial societies virtually crime free? Basically it was because everyone knew each other and were accountable to each other, you steal money or another person's property and where to spend or use it will be an insurmountable headache. Nowadays, the world is a global village and the only way to achieve strict order like in the ancient villages is for everybody to be known, nowhere to hide for anyone. No nations operating a banking system that enables politicians to use shell companies to stash stolen money away to use to foment trouble in power struggles. There is a Yoruba saying ‘Ole ti o ji Kakaki Oba, ibo ni yio ti fon?’ Meaning ‘If a thief steals the Oba’s royal trumpet, where is the thief going to blow it?’ or even sell it? So if any society is closely knit with everybody under watch, then such a society will have a very strong moral fabric. Not because of God or any unseen entity but because you know if you transgress, you will be caught. The societies that are closest to such a system of an ancient village are the industrial societies in Europe and North America. The United States is the largest single nation under such an arrangement. No US politician’s name has been found so far in the Panama papers. In such societies, someone’s car plate number or phone number will be enough to get all information about that person. If there is money in your account that you can not account for, you forfeit it to government. Any individual at any rank in the society must be able to explain into details how he or she came about his or her worth. It will be a good development for the whole world to become such a village where everybody is registered in a data bank that is accessible to all, where nobody is an island. All financial transactions are monitored, paper money phased out both for security reasons and for Earth conservation reasons and etc. Some crimes like bank robberies will be immediately phased out, while many others will be phased out gradually. However if paper money is not phased out because it gives a level of privacy to individuals that want it as well as some conveniences, it may remain as determined by each Earth nation on a case by case basis. However majority of transactions will be cashless in any nation as it is presently but at least each individual must be attached to a bank account and transactions of certain categories must go through such accounts and this is already the case globally. We need to be a proper global village, a global family where hands are joined together and people have nothing to hide. Where you can do most things like voting in elections, travelling abroad and renewal or confirmation of permits like drivers' license and etc by simply flashing your identity card issued by a national department of statistics. |
Super1Star:The Emir was a mere Imam because even the British acknowkedged that at a point the Balogun Alanamu was the authourity and he had to be exiled to Jebba from where he still maintained authourity, he was then moved to Lokoja. After the Balogun Biala Ajikobi signed the protection agreement, they insisted it was a mere trade agreement, the Ajikobi too was sent on exile in 1907 but Ilorin being a Muslim state, the Baloguns saw the Emir as a prayer leader whom they propped up. It was a mistake because at the end, the colonial authourities graded the Emir above them. When the British propped the Emir up and he issued orders to the people, they laughed him off but the colonial authourities dealt with them. That was the beginning of the nonsense but the British acknowledged that the Ajikobi was the traditional head of Ilorin. |
THE IMPORTANCE OF IDOLATORY, POLYTHEISM, ANIMISM AND ETC FOR A HARMONIOUS RELATIONSHIP WITH SELF, OTHERS AND NATURE. The theology of the Yoruba is based squarely on respect for self, others, ancestors, orisa, nature and the other world. This respect, without mincing words mean worship or deification. Without respecting others, you would not expect to have a harmonious or beneficial relationship with them. That will not be possible but once you respect and worship them, you will be able to get anything you want from them, if they have it. This applies to the other world as well, to all the orisa, Eegun and nature forces. To respect, deify and worship something does not mean they are Olodumare which is the Yoruba name for God. Anybody claiming to be Olodumare or at par with Olodumare is a megalomaniac fool. That is the Yoruba belief. People are always reminded that they are not Olodumare when they become power drunk. Olodumare has power over everything, is omnipotent and omniscient and the resources of Olodumare are there for all to use as we are all reservoirs of the ashe of Olodumare, all of us, including living and non living things. So to us, Aborisha, when we see a Cobra and we bow down to worship it, not because it is Olodumare but because it is imbued with the Ase of Olodumare. Ase is the creative energy of God, the power to effect change, to make things happen and it is contained in everything. Respect for others is central to Yoruba theology which is why people prostrate to greet their superiors, lying flat on the ground in worship. When Ilorin was captured by renegade Yoruba Muslims, the practice of lying prostrate to greet people was discontinued, being labelled as barbaric by Muslims who insisted that only Allah (whom no one can see) must be worshipped in such a manner. Till today, many Muslims carry themselves with arrogance, respecting neither parents, seniors or subordinates, since to them, it would mean worship and only Allah deserves to be worshipped. Such a frame of mind is a recipe for disaster. How can worshipping only Olodumare be beneficial to humanity or Olodumare himself? How do you determine what is worship and what is not worship? And etc. So it should be clear to all that the caveat placed on worshipping things that are not Olodumare is not a caveat that makes sense. Our Yoruba land is unique, it is what it is because of what Olodumare put there. Without the water bodies, it would be a desert, without the hills, it would have been more accessible to invaders in the past, without the forests, no trees. So let us abide by the laid down rules of Olodumare, which is that we should worship everything for us to enjoy our lives with them. If we flout this instruction of Olodumare, any repercussion will be solely our fault. To be forewarned is to be forearmed. Worship yourself, worship others, worship your ancestors, worship nature, worship everything you see, take time to bow down and be grateful to them all and it shall be well with you. The Yoruba do not offer any sacrifice to Olodumare but Olodumare is venerated in incantations and etc as the owner of all ashe. Olodumare has never been incarnated but orisas have been frequently incarnated, so sacrifices are offered to them ritually but never to Olodumare which are sometimes made up of favourite foods of past incarnations of that orisa as directed by priests of the particular orisa. So the caveat by Christians and Muslims against polytheism does not make sense unless it can be well articulated for us to see the benefits but there are a lot of benefits in worshipping, valuing and respecting everyone and everything. The main one being that it will enhance balance, cooperation and conservation in the world. That was the status quo before Christianity and Islam came upon us like a bull in a China shop. |
I know what I am saying because my own great grandfather was called Baba Lemomu because he was a turban wearing Imam. Alaafin Abiodun was a great Alaafin who was able to manouvre himself out of the vice grip of Bashorun Gaha, two of his Muslim sons have proved themselves to be made of excellent material and this must be recognised and taught in schools. One was the Ajikobi who was executed by the Alaafin for treason, his successor in Ilorin, Balogun Biala Ajikobi placed Ilorin under British protection with his signature while the other Mallam Mohammed Shitta was given the style Bey by the Ottoman empire. He was known later Mohammed Shitta Bey, the manwho built the Lagos central Mosque. The two of them are distinguished Africans though Islamists and their work should not be pushed under because some Fulani want everything. |
PabloAfricanus:I have been telling you again and again that if somebody can not sign a protection agreement with the British, then they are not a Monarch. I know Oba Moma was a real monarch who was approved by the Alaafin but he committed suicide when his Baloguns frustrated his move to ally with Ibadan and Britain. That one was accepted by the Yoruba, I will not again say that Sulayman was Ajikobi but the person who signed the protection agreement was Ajikobi and by the early 20th century, the two main Baloguns were Alanamu and Ajikobi both of whom were Yoruba. Lord Lugard took Ilorin over from Balogun Biala Ajikobi who was the monarch that appended his signature to the protection agreement with the British which means the Sulayman was a mere Imam that was not allowed to near the negotiation table. All those men were Oyo men, same way the Sultan of Sokoto is Hausa but the difference is that the Sultan negotiated the Hausa under British protection while Ajikobi negotiated Ilorin and appended his signature. |
Most of the people being touted as Emirs of Ilorin were mere chief Imams who were not allowed to negotiate with the British. http://unilorin.edu.ng/publications/omoiya/The%20Colonial%20Conquest%20of%20Ilorin.pdf |
Jebba is a Kingdom of 33 towns spread North and South of River Niger with one monarch. They are 100 km North of Ilorin. So if a town in Anambra is not a Yoruba land how can Ilorin be a Fulani town? A Yoruba of Fulani descent has never been Governor in the place and this Emir issue is just tomfoolery but it will be reversed all thesame. http://peoplesdailyng.com/weekend/index.php/news/national-news/143-features/4879-54-years-after-independence-jebba-kwara-communities-still-without-water |
PabloAfricanus:Your link is helpful but it has a lot of errors. It described Ijebu and Oyo as Northern Nigeria amongst other errors. It is noteworthy that it described Bariba as a state whose foundation date is lost in antiquity, it described Ilorin as a rebellious Oyo successor state, Abuja as a Habe successor state while most Emirates are Fulbe Jihad states. Most importantly, it never described Ilorin as a Fulbe Jihad state, it only described the former Habe states as such. So do the Maths, if no Bariba was under Fulani and Jebba was not under Fulani, Pategi was not under Fulani, how can the Fulani Jihad have reached Ilorin? How possible is that? The actual fact is that Hausa refugees relocated to Ilorin in huge numbers and many were Habe aristocrats and they became a force to be reckoned with in Ilorin but they had one Balogun while Yoruba had 4. The present Emir of Ilorin is presumably a descendant of the Habe rulers but it was an Oyo prince of the Ajikobi who put Ilorin under British protection. |
