Almost 50% of women are bread winners? In which Nigeria? Pls where did you get your statistics from?

Do you even know that many women from Northern Nigeria don't work, and the North makes up almost 50% if not more of the Nigerian population (you can look it up) . So I ask again... Where did you get your 'almost 50% of women are bread winners in Nigeria'?

Once woman foot bills for 1 or 2 months due to some financial constraints on the husband's side who has been footing bills for donkey years... THEY SUDDENLY BECOME BREAD WINNERS....
In the majority of marriages the wife is a co bread winner because wives work and what will they be doing with their income?. Only a few men have a high enough income to not need input from their wives.

Where wills the governor get that kind of money from? No financial entities will grant such loan to kano.

Men will finally understand why there ancestors marry plenty wives.

As a man, if you finally make money, marry plenty women and satisfy yourself. Because if you broke, you no go even see one marry... The way this gender is going.

All those data are fake. Osun state is after Oyo state. The proximity of Ogun to Lagos state alone should do the talking.

Who conducted the survey of the bakery, fashion designers, mechanics from those states?
It is easy to get those data since the businesses have associations with due paying members. That company does the survey as work and sells the data
Osun is probably the most urbanized in Nigeria and it has been like that for centuries. Their economy does not depend on Lagos. Ilesa, Osogbo, Ife, Ede, Ila, Ejigbo Igbajo and many others have been urban centers for centuries.
I think Ogun"s proximity to Lagos is why they have many bakeries

Fake data. Tertiary institutions and industries in Ogun state alone will do the justification for the GDP not to talk about other sectors
I don't think the data is fake. They even charge on the site. However Ogun has far more bakeries than Osun according to that same company. Over 300 to over 200. I can't remember the exact figures.
Osun too has a lot of tertiary institutions

Fashion designers is 755 to 510 in favor of Osun

Osun has 697 hotels and 224 banks

The first part of your submission is right, Kudos. The second part, very very wrong.

Ọga in Yoruba and Ogie in Ẹdo are not cognates... The starting sound《O》is not even the same alphabet. (O vs Ọ). It is like saying the English words "Owl" (A bird of prey) and "Awl" (A hand tool) are the same thing.

Then the tones of both are complelely different. Just the same way you know that the sound of the Ọga in Ọgaranya is different from that of the Ọga in Yoruba and by extension, Pidgin.
The Yoruboid word cognate to Ogie (If it truly exists) is more likely Oye (Titleship). In parts of Edo North, the word for King is still Oje till today.

Dont just jump into conclusions like that unless you're exactly sure. There are many false positive similarities out there between all languages.
Ok. Thanks

It was white invaders who mis-named it 'idol worshiping'.

Our people did not call it anything like that at all.

It's like saying you're worshiping the messenger who is merely working on behalf of God! Delivering message on behalf of God!

You now see me performing rituals connecting me with the messenger, and you say I'm worshipping the messenger as my idol?

It's wrong.

The messenger, be it it Amadioha or Ogun or Shango, is just the conduit to God!

Each messenger has his or her own specialty. Some specialise in women issues like barrenness, others specialise in wealth generation. Others in matters of war.

It's a beautiful spiritual system.

May God punish anybody that labels it 'heathen' or 'demonic'.
I believe the recognition of one father God is enough to classify a culture as monotheist. It does not matter if they also recognize lesser deities

Idol worshipping isn't a disease. Humanity generally reverence both nature and ancestors. They also recognize the father God which qualifies them as monotheist.
Traditional spiritualities are similar all over the world.

If I don't remember all I remember the British sacked the oba of Lagos and took over administration in Lagos and forced obas to become subjects of the British rule which has continued till today. For Arabs, fulanis are not Nigerians they are descendants of Uthman Dan fodio that overrun the whole of the north and set up the caliphate you now see till today. They are Arabs and that's why that Iwo king is pledging allegiance to them claiming to be emir. Your history is faulty or deliberately manipulative.
It is you that don't know what you are saying because even in Lagos it was the Yoruba that invited them and no Fulani are not Arabs

It was the Yoruba themselves that invited the British. They did not invade Yoruba land. They invited them to end the 16 year long civil war in Yoruba land. There was never a time that Arabs ruled any part of Nigeria

The big fat lie in Nigeria is that Muslims are Majority. I doubt this. Upon how Northerners try to suppress expansion of Christianity in Core North. There is no Northern State that doesn't have thousand of churches and millions of christians, including Sokoto, Kano and Borno but to South-South and South -East you rarely see Mosque not to talk of Muslim. Muslims population in Akwa Ibom alone is not up to 2000. Only Hausa/ Fulani residents there and their Mosque not up to five. Everything in Nigeria is politics . Even the Majority of Northerners recoding in Akwa Ibom are christians from middle belt.
SW and NW are like half of the country in population. NW is over 90 percent Muslim while SW is like fifty percent

CultureThe Endless Cycle Of Whites Becoming Dark And Vice Versa by lawani(op): 7:49pm On Nov 08, 2025
The endless cycle of whites becoming dark and vice versa.

Temperate zones will be evacuated before the next ice age fully berths and people from there will move to the global south after being expelled by ice.

After then, people will be darker skinned for thousands of years before the ice recedes again and the Northern hemisphere is recolonized by dark skinned people from the south. The new areas will be poor for a long time but the population will soar proportional to the fresh water resources and living space available. After thousands of years they will become lighter skinned again because of their habitat and they will build cities and civilizations of their own, progress will move round and they will get theirs.

Then some people will be saying the first human beings were dark skinned because the states or civilizations of the lighter skinned people are new.
The cycle will continue repeating endlessly.

The fact is that nobody knows the color of the skin of the first humans on Earth. It depends on the climate of the section of the ‘Earth’ or home planet that they came from. If light skinned people land on Mars today, the first humans there will be light skinned and not dark but if they landed on the equator then their community will become dark skinned over time.
Human groups are ecotypes meaning their phenotype is determined by their habitat over time.
PoliticsWhat Will Change In An Equalized World? by lawani(op): 7:38pm On Nov 08, 2025
What will change in an equalized globe?

If the cost of living were equalized across the world like it used to be decades ago, the first line beneficiaries would be farmers because they already live in rural areas where the cost of living is not high. Their purchasing power will increase substantially. In the past, an ordinary cocoa farmer in West Africa or Brazil could easily sponsor a ward in a US university providing for tuition and upkeep. A fresh graduate could afford a brand new automobile etc in Nigeria decades ago unlike nowadays. If the cost of living were equalized across the world then there would be a return to those days.

@lawani

@Your bolded post right ABOVE.
FIRST off, Fluted Pumpkin is widely grown in nature and has Indigenous names in different languages for centuries. The Fluted Pumpkin leaves are called "Nkong Ubong" in Ibibio language and "Ugu" by the Ibos BUT it's NOT a leaf of Ibo origin contrary to misleading claims.

The Yoruba name for Fluted Pumpkin leaves has always been "Ewe Woroko or Eweroko" with further explanations FAR right BELOW. (Just like Yorubas have Obe Apon or Apon soup which is called Ogbono in other places). So, the Yorubas have been eating fluted pumpkin leaves for centuries.
It has to be emphasized here and now that because of regional differences, some Yoruba subgroups eat more of other types of soups and cuisines than others. The Ijesas, Ekitis, Ondos, etc, eat a lot of Iyan (pounded yam) with highly tasty Obe Egunsi (Egusi) with unique indigenous spices added for flavor. The Ibadans and other Oyo groups eat more of the 3 types of Elubo namely: Elubo isu (yam flour) plus Elubo Lafun (cassava flour) plus Elubo Ogede (plantain flour) and Obe Ewedu and Gbegiri soups. Contrary to the ridiculously FALSE claims by some ignorant posters online (including some young Yorubas who aren't properly exposed to their culture), the Yorubas have more than 25 different types of flavorful soups beyond the Ewedu and Gbegiri soups which are just quick soups that these people ONLY know. The popular "Efo riro genre is NOT just one type of soup, BUT it has up to 6 types of soup variants alone based on the type of leaves used. Combined together, all the soups from the different parts of Yorubaland from Nigeria, to Benin Republic, to Togo, are over 25 types of soups with some being special soups because the ingredients are seasonal based on my cuisine research over the years. With greenhouses, these ingredients and spices can be made all-year round. The Yorubas are indeed great cooks and it's necessary to have a copyrighted unified Yoruba cookbook(s) to show the richness of the global Yoruba cuisines that have existed for centuries before now.

Ewe woroko (also spelled eweroko or efo worowo in Yoruba) refers to fluted pumpkin leaves in English.

This vegetable is widely known as "ugu" in the Igbo language and has the botanical name Telfairia occidentalis. It is a popular and nutritious leafy green used extensively in West African cuisine, particularly in Nigerian soups and stews.

Telfairia occidentalis - Wikipedia
Telfairia occidentalis. ... Telfairia occidentalis is a tropical vine grown in West Africa as a leaf vegetable and for its edible seeds.

Fluted pumpkin (Telfairia occidentalis) Known as NKONG UBONG in Ibibio, UGU in Ibo, EWEROKO in Yoruba and and KABEWA MAI KABEWA in Hausa is a tropical vine grown in West Africa as a leaf vegetable and for its edible seeds. 5 Aug 2020
